Underhills Crossing Restaurant
Loved the food and atmosphere
As usual, the food was excellent; however, the noise level was too loud. The live piano player although good was constant and loud. It’s very difficult to have a conversation.
Another evening of very good food and cocktails at Underhill. I am from out of town and always try to grab dinner in Bronxville and Underhill is usually a stop as the food, cocktails and service are great.
Turned out they were celebrating 25th anniversary of the restaurant so it was crazy noisy and busy with regulars celebrating. As such service was unusually slow. However, this was a one-time occurrence, and the food was as awesome as always- make sure you try the baked Alaska!
Amazing my fave place to go for food the best drinks and the best ambience
Excellent service, warm inviting room. A traditional American brunch menu. Slightly overpriced even by Bronxville standards but heck the drinks and delicious breads are complimentary.
Great place for a holiday brunch!
Never fails to be one of the great brunches around
Always a pleasure to eat at Underhills. Food and service always excellent. Seating can be tight, not good for an intimate dinner, but the food makes up for it.
The service was very good and the room was very nice but the food was only good. I would go there again more for the ambience than the food.
They had a church choir singing Christmas carols - guests should have been advised when making a reservations
We thoroughly enjoyed everything and
will be back. Even the music was
Great experience all the way around. My Mom was in from out of town and really enjoyed it.
What a delightful, romantic I might add, evening. The waitstaff was very attentive and cordial, the dishes were delicious and attractively presented. Some fabric on the walls or here and there might cut down the 'Energetic' --as you euphemistically put it -- noise level.
Thanksgiving dinner was very very goid except for the carrot cake if thats what you call it. Looked like a mini carrot muffin with no icing. Your clams on the half shell were outstanding! Fresh as can be. I will come again for sure but nix the carrot cake.. yours truly, Ms Madera
Excellent, attentive waiter. Food was good. Would recommend
Wonderful Thanksgiving meal. Butternut squash soup was a big hit. As was the carrot cake. Lots of options for those who don’t like turkey. Great service from the hostess and waiter. Friendly and very helpful. This is our second year in row and I am sure we will be spending thanksgiving here again.
It was my birthday. Staff sang Happy Birthday when they brought my dessert with a lit candle. Food was delicious as it has always been. The restaurant is the best in town.
Excellent, friendly service matched with great food. A welcoming atmosphere. My rack of lamb was savory and generous. The onion soup was one of the best I have ever enjoyed.
not only is the food excellent and nicely presented, the staff are outstanding making for a very pleasant venue with fantastic service from the time you enter until you depart.
Dined during restaurant week. The main course was small ( 2 large scallops) but delicious.
As always, everything was fantastic. I ordered off the Restaurant Week menu and the entire meal was delicious. My husband always orders the chicken scarpariello as he believes it’s the best he’s had. Steve Palm, we love your restaurant!!!
Good food, varied menu, lovely ambiance. This restaurant never disappoints.
Lovely room, great service nice attention to detail. The noise level was way too loud need some sound baffling
I’m never disappointed at Underhills. The food is great. Portions are reasonable size. Not too big but not too small. The wait staff are so helpful and polite. Perfect drinks!
Always a favorite. Definitely our "go-to" spot in Bronxville. Richard, behind the bar is a gem and the food is quite good. The Hudson Valley Restaurant Week menu was inspired. It was a Monday, so quieter than usual, but my dinner companion and I had a lot to discuss and the ambience served as a perfect backdrop.
Great service, ambience and food. Table for 4 last Sunday. We all thoroughly enjoyed dining here.
The Brunch was perfect. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the portion of smoked salmon with the bagel was generous. They've expanded their dessert menu. We'll have to go back to try some of them.
I truly enjoy Underhill. Consistently great food, drinks and atmosphere. I've been travelling from Fort Lee, NJ to Bronxville for more than 15 years to dine at this restaurant. I truly like this place and highly recommend it.
Excellent Fall pre-fixe dinner with a lovely Brussel Sprouts dish for starters, divinely-inspired swordfish, and beautiful desserts (one creme brulee on a pumpkin wafer and the other a goat cheesecake with creme anglaise.) Server Kevin was very solicitous and the place looks like it had a nice paint touch up, so very sparkly.
To be fair, I was served wine in a dirty glass. Not polished, finger prints and chemical solutions everywhere. Service lacked ALOT. Food was solid. Glad I took the recommendations from server. Was never offered dessert. After dinner drinks couldn’t finish as port wine had WAYYYYY TOOO MUCH sediment in bottle.

Overall good. Two of us satisfied with the food, other two not so much.
Great service and ambiance.
Dropped our daughter off at SLC! First empty nest date.
My husband and I have celebrated his birthday previously at Underhill's Crossing in much the same way as we did this past Saturday evening. Kevin our waiter was attentive yet unobtrusive. I had called in advance to request a table outside, and though the policy is to not reserve sidewalk tables the hostess gladly made a note for the file. We had our Whippet with us and the staff immediately understood that we had asked for the table outside for that very reason and made her feel right at home with a bowl of fresh water. The food was excellent and again when it came time for dessert a candle appeared with our waiter and two staff members singing, to our surprise they knew my husband's name, thus jumping past the awkward spot in Happy Birthday when you don't know the patron's name. Our only complaint was not the fault of the restaurant, yet should be thought of by diners wishing to be seated outside, and that was the BMW that say idling immediately in front of our table from cocktails through entrees. Ironically the temperature and humidity were remarkably comfortable for the evening of August 10th, the single occupant of the car was selfishly lost in their texting - wrapped in their airconditioned luxury...
Birthday lunch for.my best friend. Food has been consistently good for years.
Food was delicious but the service was poor. We had to call our waiter a few times to order drinks and he never checked on us during our meal. Which was disappointing Because everything else was nice.
Always a good place to meet friends! Food and service well executed. Fish taco and ribs appetizers were delicious!
Underhills is always exceptional. The attention to detail to be admired.
I went for a quiet ladies lunch for my birthday with my mom. It was lovely. My mom did the prix fixe menu and it was an excellent value for excellent food. I ordered à la carte so it was a little less of a value but the food was outstanding. There was only one waiter working so the barman took our orders and was wonderful.
Underhill's is always good. Try to get there weekly!!!
