Uncle Julio's - Reston Town Center
Uncle Julio’s menu also includes Tex-Mex classics such as tacos, enchiladas & tamales all with a selection of sauces made daily. Insider tip: order the tableside guacamole. It’s prepared for you at your table; if you like it spicy kick it up a notch with fresh chopped jalapenos.
Uncle Julio’s has a vast drink selection. Try our fresh margarita of the day, made to order with fresh fruit. If you prefer a frozen drink then the Swirl is definitely the perfect choice. The Swirl is frozen sangria & frozen margarita layered together dating back to 1987.
For reservations, please allow up to 15 minutes for us to prepare your table.

Great food and service! Elizabeth our server was outstanding. WIll definitely go back soon to this neighborhood gem.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. Out of 6 meals, 5 meals were wrong or incomplete when originally served, the worst offense being a vegetarian enchilada order with a meat sauce. After taking over 15 minutes to correct the issue when we got the bill we had been charge not once but twice for the messed up enchilada order. To top it all off the entire meal was sloooow, we spent an hour and 45 minutes in the restaurant just to eat dinner, no desert.
Return here often. Food and service are excellent. Honey Chipotle Chicken Fahitas are the best.
Both food and service were excellent . The food is always good and the service was prompt and efficient. There is a varied menu with man choices.
They don’t reserve outside seating but the manager bought us a drink and put us at the top of the list. Courteous, professional, attentive. Wonderful experience.
Food and drink great! $35 parking ticket terrible! Never again Reston Town Center I am done1
Once you pass the hurdle of the unprofessional and unfriendly hostess
It’s all smooth sailing consistent good food and great servers
Drinks Good. Food Fair.
Good meal and excellent service!
The restaurant is too noisy, maybe not for everyone. Food was OK, very basic Tex-Mex, good drinks and beer. Service was pretty good.
Horrible experience. Made a reservation on Open Table. Showed up 10 minutes late because of traffic ( no surprise). Our table had already been given away. No grace period I guess (normal places usually give 15 minutes). We had asked to be seated outside on the patio. After waiting 20 minutes got seated. They first tried to seat us in a dark corner. We reminded them we had asked to sit outside. Were finally given a table by a window so we could at least see the tables on the patio. Ordered a Acapulco Seafood salad with seared ahi tuna. My wife, on the recommendation of the waiter ordered the tacos with tuna. My sons got the children’s chicken fingers. The children’s meals came within 10 minutes but the adult meals took an additional 20 and that was after asking several times about our meals. Once the food arrived the tuna smelled and tasted very fishy. Neither my wife and I ate our meals. The manager would not come to the table but told our waiter that we could order something “to go” that would be free. We wanted nothing more from this place and asked for the check. It took over 15 minutes to pay for this crappy meal. Will NEVER return. Steven, the waiter, was very pleasant and tried very hard.
Food was fair. Been before and the food was better. No guarantee about going back. For the price there is better food around Reston.
Honey Chipotle Fajitas were fabulous as usual. Others had the Juarez Fajitas and Beef Tacos and thought they were excellent as well. Always love coming to this restaurant.
The service was Excellent. Santos our waiter retrieved my credit card after I forgot about it and was well spoken polite affable !
Our experience at Uncle Julio’s in Reston was very good. The food was okay, but not as delicious as the Uncle Julio’s in Loudoun One. The service was good overall. Our first choice would be to dine at Uncle Julio’s at Loudoun One.
The food was not good. My silverware was dirty. Service was good and server was really nice but overall was too loud, poor food, and dirty silverware. I have been to three Uncle Julios and this one is by far the worst one I have been to.
My wife and I are long time fans of Uncle Julio’s and I have a Loyalty card. Food was great as usual. The service this visit, not so much. Seemed like our waiter was new and he was definitely young. We ordered the chicken fajitas for two and asked to SWAP the rice and beans for the mixed grilled veggies, something we have done before. When our order arrived we just had extra onions and peppers and the rice and beans. Explained the mix up and he quickly fixed it without any problems. They are usually very good about clearing the table, but this time it seemed like it took a very long time to clear the table when we were done with the main meal. We ordered the Chocolate Piñata for dessert and it was delicious.
Just a couple missteps this visit with someone who appeared to be new.
We will definitely return and I would still recommend to anyone.
It’s our family’s favorite go-to restaurant in RTC. We love the food and we love our favorite servers, Alfredo ❤️ and Jordan. ❤️
We always get Jalisco fajitas and they never disappoint! Also their margaritas, queso and quac are yummy too!!
Always good food and service at Uncle Julio's. Especially like the Honey Chipotle Chicken Fajitas.
The food was terrible. I’ve had better tacos at Taco Bell. The restaurant itself it a mess -sticky floors, broken shades on the windows, and don’t get me started on the bathrooms. The service was meh. The waiter screwed up our drink order of “tequila on the rocks”. Not fresh food, tastes microwaved.
The poor waitress was pulled on so many tables it was hard to get service (not her fault)
Took over an hour to get our food
Restaurant was super busy so it was loud! Tough to hold a conversation with others at the table but we managed. Service was decent--a little slow but that could be because it was so busy. Food was delicious.
Early Father’s Day Dinner
We arrived to the restaurant and immediately placed our order once seated. Our order got in before noon but it took us over 35 minutes to receive our meal so that was very disappointing because this was a special occasion but yet we were in a bit of a timetable. We used to love coming here as a family but Service has declined over the years.
Food was very good, chips and salsa were excellent—way above average. My only caveat is that of 6 people in our party two of us received food different than the way we ordered it. In one case she ordered beef taco salad and got chicken, and in the other case I asked for tacos without raw onion garnish but got onions anyway. I picked off the raw onions and they brought beef to add to the salad and both dishes were excellent so just a minor nuisance.
The service was Horrible!!! We made reservations and were seated immediately. Then after 15 minutes without any response from the staff, I had to grab a server from another table to inquire about our server. A young lady shows up and says,”no one assigned you a server so I guess I will take care of you.” We should be so grateful to have a server do her job! When the food came it was okay. Nothing special. Plenty of food but nothing special. First and last experience at Uncle Julio’s!
It was my birthday celebration and the food was wonderful!! We topped it off with a chocolate piñata which was awesome. Our granddaughters had a blast with “opening up” that wonderful desert.
If you love canned food (except the fresh guacamole mixed in front of you) and bad service, go for it....
Birthday dinner. Had a wonderful experience. Chocolate Piniata was a big hit!
Tabke side guac way too salty. Cheese enchiladas gooey and tasteless.
We had booked for 6pm and had to wait 20 minutes for our table. I thought that was the "beauty" of Open Table that you would get seated at the requested time.
Love this place so much!! We come here for all our special occasions and just for last minute dining too
Great. We love Uncle Julios. Glad we can go to Reston fairly easily. My favorite Fajitas. When I bring out if town guests, thr feed back is very positive. The food is fantastic! We refuse to go to the One Loudoun location, service there is awful and the Managers are the issue.
Decent food. Could have done without a bird pooping on me during lunch. Would also have been awesome if our order came out correctly the first time.
We always enjoy the food at Uncle Julio's. However, this time we were very disappointed that one of our favorite dishes - chili rellenos - are no longer on the menu. We told our waiter about our concern, and he said a lot of people have complained!
Too loud. Unresponsive service. Water leaking from plastic cups - took long to clean up. And nothing offered in terms of additional napkins etc. Wait staff was very indifferent. Noise was too loud that you could not talk.
Food wasn’t very good. It used to better back a few years ago. Waiter screwed up drink orders
Used to be a great place. Food is still pretty good but they've recently skimmed on their portions. But what is horrible is the noise level. Unfortunately it's so loud that dining there is no longer enjoyable. You actually have to shout for the person to hear you at your own table 😏
I met colleagues at Uncle Julio’s prior to commencing a two day meeting. A few of us were late, and the staff was very accommodating. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. The service was very good as well.
