Twelves Grill & Cafe
Twelves began with renovations of the 125 year old bank in January 2008 and the doors to the restaurant were opened on August 26, 2008. Twelves continues to be an amazing part of the West Grove Borough. We currently seat for lunch, brunch, and dinner along with hosting private events, special themed dinners, and local fundraisers.
Twelves Grill and Cafe has been owned by Knute and Bernadette Mellon since 2018. The Mellons are originally from Philadelphia and moved to West Grove in 2013. They have three children Gavin, McKayla, and Maci. The Mellon Family has many exciting plans for the future here in West Grove.

The food and service are always great at Twelves. My wife always like the Twelves Bread as an appetizer but this time she had it as her meal alongside a bowl of mushroom soup.
Awesome lunch experience. Service was excellent. Mushroom soup with truffle oil, portobello fries, burrata with pomegranate and butternut squash, arugula salad with salmon; all perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Mary was a great server. The food is always good. We always plan to eat lunch at Twelves when we are going to drive by West Grove.
Food was fresh and delicious. Mushroom soup fantastic! Mary is the best! Will be back!!
Excellent dining experience 👍 Food and service superb and attentive 👍
Had a great time once again at Twelves. The special was a tuna dish, sushi grade, and was fantastic. I had the filet and didn't think any tuna could compare, but this lightly crusted tuna was delicious and made me jealous of my wife's dish once again! We aren't going out much lately but this was a treat as always.
Love the portabello fries. Crabcakes fabulous.
Everything was good but the service was really very poor - especially considering that there were very few diners there.
I had high hopes and the food was good. But for the price i expected the food to be excellent. It just wasn’t.
Great food and service as always! Cheese plate and Crab Cake continue to exceed expectations!!!
Great food and service! Keep up the good work, it's worth a visit.
First time. Thanks for making our 30th anniversary safe and special.
Had a really nice dinner here on Friday night. I had the salmon, others had crab cakes and one had duck breast. We all loved what we ordered. Good, unadulterated food!
Service was excellent!
My husband and I have dined at Twelves multiple times. They excel at cooking seafood. LOVE the fried oysters. Lovely space in an old bank.
Service is always impeccable.
Outdoor dining during Covid Food was outstanding as always. Tables spaced apart well for social distancing.
We really enjoyed the menu for the 3-course lunch on the 12th of the month!
Twelves never disappoints! Outstanding cheese platter. Meals were fantastic. Ate outside on the covered porch. The staff took excellent care of us! And we took mushroom soup home with us!
Excellent food and service as always! Thank you!
Always a great meal and great service!!! Can't wait to go back!
Everything we ordered, even items from the kids menu, was delicious. The service was great, the building is pretty cool, looks like it was converted from old bank. The highlight of the meal for me was the portabella fries appetizer! I will be going back (25 min away, mind you) just to have more of them!
We have the pleasure of dining at Twelves 2-3 times a year. The food is always great!
Always great food and service. Enjoyed sitting outside!
Another great evening at Twelves! Their cheese plate and mushroom soup are always delicious; they now have local wine and some craft beer! Tried the duck, which was nicely cooked. I personally didn’t like it but it had nothing to do with the restaurant! Got some dessert to go as well.
Delicious dinner. Chef was very accommodating as was the waitress. Love having dinner there.
Mary was superb, attentive and always a pleasure to visit.
Great food - as always. We had the crab cakes and duck, both were delicious.
First time at Twelves. We had brunch. It was delicious.
This is a favorite place of mine but our experience last Saturday evening was anything but enjoyable. It was so loud that our party of four sat quietly for first thirty minutes as we could not hear each other above the noise. In addition, our server was nowhere to be found for much of the time we were there. Admittedly the restaurant was crowded but I had to check in with the hostess to find out where our server was hiding. Having said that, the food was fantastic as usual. This was my first less than favorable experience at the Twelves and I will continue to recommend this eatery. Sorry Twelves but this experience was well below my expectations. Perhaps my timing was to blame as it was a Saturday evening.
A nice alternative place for a solid meal.
Will definitely be back! Great food and atmosphere, server very helpful with food selections.
Great BYOB in an old bank. Food prepared excellently. Try the Flat Iron steak! I have never had it so well prepared as at the Twelves. Always a great place to dine!
Food was delicious, as always, but it was the day after Valentine’s Day, and they were slammed, so service was slower than usual. Entree portions are too large for a single serving; I would judge cost to be reasonable based on ability to stretch leftovers to two additional meals, but they could halve the portion and reduce the prices without making me unhappy. I make note of the noise level not because we were unhappy with it - sounded like everyone was having a great time - but so that anyone going would know that the acoustics in the back room may not be suitable for someone with hearing issues.
Day-after Valentine's date night. Early seating, but filled up quickly. Casual attire for most patrons. Our server (Maggie?) was wonderful.
Valentines Day price per couple 150.00
Ridiculous. Terrible service. Desert was poorly done. Portions were small. Asked for bread received a quarter of a roll.
A total scam.
It’s Valentine’s Day. We had a reservation for a family of 4. Upon arrival we were told the menu was restricted to $150 per couple. No other options were available. I asked why I wasn’t told when I called earlier that week, and they said it was on Facebook and I should have known about it. We had dinner. The dinner was average...not even close to the $353 charged. At best each dinner was in the $20-$30 range you expected from this restaurant. It was also loud and difficult to hear. Avoid the place. They used a special occasion to over charge customers and provide far few options or quality meals.
Dinner was good. I was disapointed because I arrived early to ask the waitress for the check at the end of the meal. That didnt happen. Why did I make the effort if my request wasnt met.
We love the staff and the food is delicious. We would love to see some updated decor. Needs to be refreshed.
Prices have gone up recently and the food quality hasn’t been the same under the new ownership.
Our only night out and dinner was a disaster. We were seated over a heater vent that blasted us with hot air all during dinner. The waitress recommended the rack of lamb so I ordered the half rack and my husband ordered the salmon. We both specified they both be cooked to medium well done. We had an early dinner and the restaurant was only partially filled yet our meal took quite a while. When it finally arrived, they were both extremely rare and were returned. The rack was not cut into lollipops, nor did it look to have any seasoning. They both returned, the salmon was very well done and the lamb was barely medium. The lamb was 4 pieces, but only 3 returned to me, probably because I cut into one? So the waitress had them make a new one and believe it or not, again, it came out near raw. The waitress took it back again, and placed it in a container. No flavor, poor cooking- why do you have things on your menu you clearly do not know how to cook or present? Poor Mary tried to remain positive and offered us dessert but we just wanted it to be over, so she gave us 25% off the lamb. What should have happened was that a manager came to the table, but no or around I guess.
