The food was very good but the service was very slow. Thankfully I didn’t want a second drink because neither our waitress or the woman picking up glasses on a tray asked us if we wanted another round of drinks. While I appreciate not being rushed when we are out for a nice meal, our server disappeared for large amounts of time between courses. The food quality was superior and all members of our party of four enjoyed our meals. I am a big fan of Tuscan Grille but I think I may prefer Tuscan Sea Grille in Newburyport to the Burlington location. Either way the food quality will bring us back.
Food was mediocre our drinks did not come out from the bar until after we got our appetizer very slow service and my meal was not hot
Overall a good experience. Andy was a very good waiter. Very surprised that an Italian restaurant could run out of Rigatoni and Arrancini. They blamed it on supply chain issues. To me it is poor planning.
This is about the cooking. Beautifully grilled octopus and broccolini. Nicely cooked salmon. Deeply flavored Bolognese. But my wife's roasted vegetables didn't seem as if they were even cooked. Good cocktails, nice selection of wines by the glass, attentive service. We'll be back.
Food was excellent, server was awesome. It was a special occasion and they made it so!
The food was horrible for the price charged.
Daughter’s birthday, food was good but a little overpriced. Service was good. Would try again !!!
Small portions, expensive
It was my 1st time @ Tuscan Kitchen & it was Great! Jessica the bartender was so helpful & friendly. Jessica knew my appetizer wasn’t what I expected & fixed everything right away. The food was Amazing & the service was even better. Can’t wait to come back.
Had delicious chicken parm! The hostess was kind enough to move our seats outside since it was a beautiful evening.
Very disappointed with the service/waitress. I was embarrassed with how the waitress spoke to myself and my guests. Unacceptable. Normally a good experience but this time was very unfortunate.
Disappointing. Not a fan of restaurants that half of the menu is wine and drinks limiting food options. The burrata was a generous portion but without bread or greens, topped with 4 grape tomatoes. The gnocchi consisted of 6 pieces in sauce. Other diners had the baked chicken which wasn’t anything special and the chicken parm was thick rather than thin cutlets.
I was not satisfied with the food. The flavor in the bolognese was not my favorite and the shrimp on my Cesar salad was burned. If you like char grilled food then this is the place for you
Great food, drinks, relaxed atmosphere, very pleasant staff.
Beautiful restaurant. Terrific food. Wonderful service from Lisa. Thank you!
Great ambiance and noise level. The service was very good.
Great food great service Had a reservation and was seated as soon as we arrived ......
Very good dinning experience.
Lesia our server was most helpful and friendly.
Food was unbelievable! Service was great and would go back again and again.
Everything was ok up until the dessert. To make a long story short, a woman worker came over, that was not our waitress, gave us a condescending remark on how the dessert is supposed to be. Very rude. The waitress was definitely embarrassed but didn't address it at all.
My meal was very salty. Disappointing. Service was excellent - our waitress was very attentive even though they appeared to be
This was an odd experience. Nice atmosphere as with all this group’s restaurants. There were a half dozen hostesses standing at the greeting station when we arrived, but they took ten minutes to seat us. The server seemed overwhelmed by the number of tables she had. The food was not good. My Caesar salad had no dressing and scant crusty croutons. My wild boar ragu was sweet, and a small portion. My wife’s chicken was dry. Maybe it’s staffing, but this location was awful. Too bad, we were looking forward to a nice dinner.
We all had haddock and each dish came out with different size portions snd it was dry
Nothing spectacular. Waitstaff was attentive and considerate. Food was meh (Salmon was charred and just over cooked enough to be dry, Tuscan salad was underwhelming, Gnocchi was a standout in other dishes). Much better Italian elsewhere but convenient location and ample seating.
The outdoor patio is nicely distanced, and feels safe. The food is simply FANTASTIC! The waitstaff were attentive but gave us time just to enjoy ourselves; not a lot of hovering (which I am glad for). It is a super place, gorgeous decor, and amazing meals and choices. Loved it!
Lets just say that dining here has been seriously impacted by staffing shortages and some mismanagement as a result of Covid and lack of experienced waitstaff. Food was good, service was not. Communication between management and staff was even more challenged. Will not be back for a while and hopefully they have sorted their issues out. This was restaurant #5 that we had been to during restaurant week and the only one that had many issues and poor organization. Disappointed, especially with the management that was made aware of our dissatisfaction.
Horrible service! Even saw one of the girls that was working there picking off someone's food from the cook and ate it. Super slow service, save your time and save your money.
Ate outside on a patio that was created pre-pandemic. Very pretty, tables spaced, delightful. There seemed to be enough waitstaff, service was excellent. Had the restaurant week menu. Food was plentiful (doggy bags all around) and delicious. The eggplant, burratta, tomato and balsamic first course my favorite. Recommend it (Plus heaters outside for when it cools down).
We waited over an hour fir food after the order was given.
Our waitress was very nice and had a great personality. Food was delicious and as a vegetarian I had a couple different options. Desserts were amazing.
Food is NOT worth the price. Fish was very dry. Not a good sign for an upscale restaurant. Sangria was mediocre. If ambiance is what you want, that's what you'll pay for.
However, a little stingy with the anchioves (2 two inch pieces) in the Caesar salad; had to ask for condiments (salt & pepper), grating cheese for ravioli and provolone for the Caesar salad. There was no provolone in the Caesar salad (although menu stipulated there would be). When I ordered the Caesar salad, I said we would be splitting it - had to request a second dish. I'm getting a little tired of needing to request everything. It's almost as if the waitress either doesn't care or is she trying to embarass me!
Seemed there was an extended duration between requests; but the waitress came back rather quickly after she presented me with the bill!!!
In many of my recent dining experiences, entering into the restaurants sets the stage for the rest of the dining experience, and this was true with Tuscan Kitchen in Burlington, MA. The front door, located off the rear parking lot, is not marked as the entrance, except for the sign high above. The doors are automatic sliding doors, which look like windows in the context of the outdoor seating area of which they are apart. So it was confusing as to how to get in to the restaurant. I eventually figured it out, but my husband, who arrived earlier, also was confused with the entrance.
Secondly, as I stood with my husband to wait for our table, I observed the three hostesses, one of which was the lead one, training the others (I believe).
We were absolutely stunned to see what the lead hostess was wearing: a very short (top of thighs) backless romper with a hankerchief in her hair and hightop canvas sneakers! It was very unprofessional, too revealing, and looked like she should have been at the beach. The other two hostesses dressed appropriately.
We ordered the price fixe menu for $38 each which included 4 courses, which was a value. But the haddock description stated it included "tomatoes" and was covered in 2 inches of tomato sauce, which I can't eat.
Our server was attentive, but a little gruff at times. The dinner lasted less than an hour.
So our overall experience was 2 out of 5. Won't go back!
The dine out Boston menu was amazing! too much food, but, all delicious!
I was alone and the extremely leisurely pace of service was less than desirable. As a consequence, the entree came out lukewarm, which was not ideal for the risotto, over which the haddock was served. After the pasta course, inclusion of a gooey, starchy accompaniment was a bit too much.
Fabulous experience. Took my daughter for her 17th birthday celebration. The service was personable and responsive, and the meal was very well timed and absolutely delicious.
Food was so so. Raviolis were good; but an arugula salad with roasted veggies with add-on scallops was next to awful - everything in it had almost no flavor, ingredients did not taste fresh, and there were almost no roasted veggies. Even the bread tasted weird and the oil and olives were tasteless. We ate here last fall and it was good, but hesitate to return now.
Our third visit to a Tuscan Kitchen. Disappointing evening as portions seemed smaller and prices higher. Issue with ordered lobster stuffed ravioli-not containing lobster was taken off the bill. Little things like a caprese salad with one basal leaf, shrimp scampi on top soggy bread and amount of wild boar in a ragu under gnocci was under proportioned to the gnocci will have think twice on returning.
Great service and delicious meal
Food was excellent and staff were courteous and friendly..
