This restaurant is permanently closed. Trove, the third restaurant from celebrated husband and wife chef/owner team Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi, is located on the bustling block of Pike and Summit in Capitol Hill. Following in the food-driven footsteps of sister restaurants Joule and Revel, Trove unites four unique culinary concepts in one bright and bold space. Boasting a parfait window, noodle bar, Korean BBQ area, and a beer-focused full service bar, Trove is the ultimate playground for your palate. A fresh dining experience with the same Korean-influenced soul and spirit.

Try and time your reservation either when the sun is high, or around sunset. The windows face west and in the main dining area it gets hot.

Need curtains in the front. I was roasting and couldn't even see my friend for the sun through the window. Sweating profusely. Had to go stand outside while my friend paid the bill.

The experience was great. It was busy. We expected to wait a bit since we have big group. They brought our sides before and the servers were very attentive. I would come by again. I recommend to put reservation since they get really busy.

What is wrong with you people in Seattle? We came here on a Wednesday night and it was mostly empty. If this restaurant or in New York there would be a line out the door. Their modern take on Korean food and barbecue was nothing short of amazing. The staff was friendly, service was quick and courteous, and the price was reasonable. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the neighborhood.

Great service and help with the menu. The kimchi pancake was heavenly! The meat tower was not much meat for the price but was delicious.

Not authentic Korean BBQ... If you want the Korean BBQ experience, this is not the place. The meal was pricey and I wouldn't consider it Korean. More like a fusion place...

This is one of the best restaurants in Seattle. The food is creative and delicious, drinks are spectacular and the service is top notch. I love Joule and loved Revel when it was open, but Trove is really the crown jewel in Rachel Yang's collection.

Food was great as usual. We took our kids grandma who is generally a low spice traditional food eater. She loved all the flavors and couldn't stop talking about it for long after.

We celebrated an occasion for the family but the staff didn't seem to know. Not sure if the OpenTable note was received. Not putting it on our server who did fine.

Trove does need a bit more work on their cocktail menu but nothing that'll stop me from visiting.

Food was great, but they were out of the dish I wanted. Selection of menu items for main entrees is limited; I. E. 3 items. They all tasted great, though, and just the right amount. Every other Korean restaurant gives those small dish appetizers free... Just like complimentary chips at Mexican restaurants. Over here you have to pay $15!
I do not appreciate an automatic gratuity of 20%. I understand that servers are underpaid and rely a lot on tips. But customers should feel that it's at their discretion so they have some control. An auto gratuity is basically an unspoken and unexpected tax that's not indicated on the menu prices... And although our server was good, I can't help but wonder how you'd motivate an unmotivated server if they know the tip is coming anyway.

We had a friend in town for a conference at the convention center, and decided to meet at Trove since it’s right up the street. Everything we ordered was amazing: the hansang, kimchi pancake, noodles with smoked brisket and Chinese broccoli, and the cook-it-yourself meat tower (always fun). The service was excellent as well. Highly recommend!

The food is delicious! It’s not a Korean bbq place but a gourmet restaurant with Korean bbq and Asian-inspired food. The seasonings take it well above Korean BBQ fare - it’s tasty, well-balanced and, in some dishes, exceptional. For those looking for standard Korean BBQ food, you will be disappointed just as if your idea of a hamburger is MacDonald’s and In and Out, then you’d be disappointed with the cost and taste of a high-end restaurant version of a burger.

The service is top-notch.

Don’t expect “korean food”. You have to order side dishes AND rice separately, even if you order meat to grill.

Awesome food and one of the chef's engaged us in answering questions. Ex-marine dude. Very affable. Made us feel welcome, which is unusual in seattle. Food was ridiculously delicious. Lettuce came out late but no worries. Waitress was trying and apologetic. Wish there was Makkoli on the menu.

We gave Trove a try when looking for something a bit different. Overall the food was good, we just didn't find it to be something we're running back to. I recommend the cauliflower, one of their signature dishes.

The restaurant is loud and a bit cramped. If you are looking for a more intimate spot, I'd recommend somewhere else. But, if you are looking for loud, busy, and upbeat, Trove may be a good spot for you.

The food tasted excellent, especially the sauces, and it was fun to cook it ourselves. However, the portions were very small. The “modest” meat tower is recommended for two people, but that along with four additional items and drinks was not enough to satisfy the hunger of myself and my date. After dinner at Trove, I was still hungry enough a to walk into another nearby restaurant and consume an entire entree. I am not a large person, but I would recommend doubling the recommended amount of food if you are hungry and came to eat.

The food was delicious, but the service was quite poor. We weren’t checked on for at least half of the meal, while grilling meat no less! Our drinks were never refilled, and we weren’t even explained the types of sauces available. The automatic 20% gratuity didn’t even let us share our disappointment with the lackluster service.

I love Trove so much. I've been a number of times for a variety of occasions, everything from date-night before a play to a 10-person meal with four children, and every time it's been fantastic. The staff is so helpful in picking the right amount of food for a crew and super accommodating with dietary restrictions. I recommend this place for pretty much every type of meal you could imagine.

My first few trips to Trove were a lot better than my last trip. This most recent time, the food didn't feel like it had as much love in it and the service was lackluster at best. We did go on a slow Tuesday night, but it felt like the ambiance and service was sluggish, on a night when they could/should have really shined. Fried cauliflower was good, but not as good as I've had it in the past--acid flavors weren't balanced very well. Meat was tough and flavors didn't feel as well-composed as they have been before. Drinks were solid and fried rice was great. Wish I'd ordered the noodles or rice cakes as I've ordered previously, maybe that would have helped. The grill-your-own situation is it's most shining feature, I think, because it allows for engaging dining. Fun for a group or occasion for that reason, unfortunately the food's flavors weren't as fun or memorable.

We have been to Trove a half dozen times. The food is typically pretty good. However the service is millennial with attitude. Regrettably a common occurrence in trendy Seattle restaurants. It was painfully obvious that the various servers, greeter, bartender were more interested in chatting among themselves than paying attention to customers. An why, since the place was almost empty and not booked with reservations (based on Open Table availability) could we not sit at a grill table in the main dining room? The website is misleading: it says reservations are for the dining room or the counter. Nothing said about getting stuck in the cold drafty front side cafe because the dining room is for four guests minimum. Much better Korean bbq grill experiences at the several Mom and Pop joints out on Aurora North. Better value and they act like they are glad you're there.

The food/service was great! Very creative dishes & delicious flavors. The big hit at the end was the Baked Alaska!! The restaurant is not easy to find. We used Waze to get there & it told us Trove was on the opposite corner on opposite side of street. Then the restaurant itself had extremely poor signage. It’s on a dark corner on Summit & Pike & the sign & building are not lit up. There’s no way to know where this place is unless you are previously familiar with it. Got the evening off on a bad note because it meant we had to rush because of an event we were going to. Other than that it was a yummy place! Work on your signage Trove!!

Was excited to try out the food from here as I made the reservation the day before and was browsing through the menu. As soon as we got in the host led us to our table which was nice but the smoke in our area of the dining area was disgusting; it ruined the dining experience to a degree. The restaurant NEEDS better ventilation in that respect and could lead to a lot of trouble if a patron has asthma. Aside from that, the floors were greasy and slippery? My partner and I ordered the bulgogi and the bbq noodles. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful but unfortunately the flavors were lackadaisical at best. The noodles itself were probably the best part of my dish, the meat was incredibly charred. My partner's dish was decent at best but was the soupiest looking bulgogi I've ever seen. We figured we would give the desserts a chance and ordered the Baked Alaska and it was awesome, needed more Ube and less of that brown butter cake though.
-all the best, a humble visitor from NYC.

Such a fun place to go with friends for a fun dining experience. The only issue we have with it is the noise level is loud and since the table is big to accommodate the grill, it can be difficult to have/hear conversations across the table. Food is delicious. Cocktails were great! We had the dinner for 4 for $100 and it was a ton of food! Great value.

My wife and I found Trove disappointing. Though they were kind and flexible when we arrived 15 minutes late for our reservation due to obscene Seattle traffic (even beyond the norm), the food was just not nearly as good as the reputation or prices would suggest. The cauliflower appetizer was quite good, and I enjoyed the pork dumplings (though my wife didn't), the octopus had nothing recognizable as octopus. The bulgogi was OK, but with several pieces of almost entirely fat, and the Trove BBQ noodles were prepared poorly and were hard in some places.

Also, though I am fine with an automatic gratuity added to the check, the fact that it is a mandated 20% regardless of whether the food and service were up to par is frustrating, particularly when the prices are already high for what you get. We would have far preferred going to a family-owned Korean restaurant on Aurora and paying half as much for a meal with less pretense.
