Hi
We enjoyed our experience at Tredwells but we were expecting 'exceptional' but it fell short of this because of a few things.
The service was disorganised. We ordered bread and olives with our pre-drinks but they were forgotten and then arrived 'after' our starter.
We ordered pre-drinks that included two glasses of the same champagne; we were brought one normal and one rose champagne so the 'toast' was put on hold until this was sorted.
The staff were lovely and apologetic but we were expecting a much higher standard from this restaurant.
The food was very good but two of the main dishes were not hot enough. Luckily the 'mac n cheese' was really hot so it added heat to the main dishes that were cold.
It was a shame because if the service was better organised, the main dishes hotter...it would have been exceptional.
We will vist again so maybe next time we will get the 'wow' factor we were hoping for.
Booked as an early dinner before then opera
The special Farmers menu was a treat
Amazing quality food at fantastic prices
Every dish was delicious { except the I over salted ice cream}
Will certainly return for more of the same
You should let more people know you are here
Lovely food, beautiful setting, excellent service. Couldn’t fault it! I’d definitely recommend. A perfect pre-theatre treat.
Great food, ambience and attentive service yet relaxed atmosphere. Set menu with cocktail was great value although sides were extra and wine quite expensive.
Great restaurant and always has a varied, interesting menu
Easy to book on line. Restaurant text and phoned to confirm booking. Service was really good and the food was lovely. Great evening.
Always like it here. Not cheap but food is at the top end.
Great food - not quite up to the standard I was expecting though. Couple of dishes didn’t quite deliver on flavour, and a minor thing but the side of broccoli is served as an entire head of broccoli (also very over cooked) which wasn’t particularly appealing or practical.
Ambience was nice, service was fantastic but it severely lacked as it got busier later on in the night. Skipped dessert because it all got a little frantic.
Early dinner after matinee in the West End. We were early and this was no problem to the charming staff. Delicious food from both the fixed price and a la Carte menus. Highlights were pork collar, scallops, and roast halibut. Loved it!
Exquisite cuisine, elegant, comfortable contemporary space, meticulous service. A truly fine dining experience
Disappointing service and very expensive considering we went with a set menu offer
Whole experience was great. Staff was very attentive without being intrusive. Food was delicious, the soft serve salted caramel was amazing.
The service was exceptional. The set menu is very good value for money.
We came here to try the Sunday roast lunch and were not disappointed. The portions were generous and our roast pork perfectly cooked and accompanied by a huge Yorkshire pudding and vegetables. The roast potatoes were excellent. My dessert was a delicious 'Chouxnut' pastry served with peanut ice cream and damsons. Starters were also nice. The service was a bit slow for which our server apologised. Front of house needs a bit of work as no one appeared to notice a queue of people who like me were waiting to be seated for several minutes. Overall good value and a pleasant, lively atmosphere.
Fantastic service. Superb food.
Such a disappointment, had high hopes as Marcus Wareing ... the food was ok but not especially good. We were made to wait an absolute age for our reserved 8pm table as they were obviously turning them to get more covers - threatened to leave and taken upstairs where several free tables readily available... then we were plied with free glass of champagne each! There are so many other good places around so probably won’t need to return here again
Unfortunately the service let the restaurant down on this occasion. The set menu was good value, lamb croquettes starter was poor but main good, dessert average.
We both had the set menu and ended having the steak for a supplement. Super tender, juicy and flavourful.
The staff were all very friendly and attentive.
Will be returning to try more of the current menu ASAP.
Excellent staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I guess if you are vegetarian then the choices are a bit more limited than if you are able to eat anything.
Really family friendly and great for family/friends to catch up
A nice find and option in central London. Good standard of food and service.
Wonderful food, great value for money and they were great with the kids! The soft serve ice cream is the best!!
Will be back!
Best service wver
Vibrant flavors with a nice presentation and solid service. Lovely wines to accompany each course.
Despite an initial resistance to provide us with the special offer menu, we were well looked after and the three courses and cocktail were delicious. As always with these special offer menus, the sides are not included which I do think is unreasonableand misleading. If you offer "Three courses for £" this should not then mean you have to pay £5.00 for potatoes and £5.00 for spring greens.
Ambience was only low because we were early and there were not that many people in but it was filling up as we left. That aside, we have a very pleasant pre-theatre meal here and would definitely return.
A great find close to the Arts Theatre where we were seeing a show!
Excellent service, wonderful food and good value too - in all we had a great time. Thank you.
Excellent food and service great place to go in town always well looked after
Anniversary
Lovely service from the moment we arrived, the pre theatre set menu was divine and extremely good value. Will
Definitely be back
Very well catered for children. Excellent food, the only thing to pick up in slightly was some over seasoning in the toddler’s meals. Fabulous service.
Great service, lovely food, quite quiet for a Saturday night
Have eaten at Tredwells several times service always excellent but very disappointed that attention to details have been lost the table was not laid apart from knife and fork with napkin and bread now charged extra.
The £29.50 for 3 courses + a cocktail misleading. Likeable starter and main course options both required supplements and veg ('sides') were extra! This being said the food was excellent and the broccoli 'side' (literally half a whole broccoli stem) a delight. Wine prices silly, but the Romanian pinot noir very good (£30 for a bottle + saervice of course)
The menu offer including the cocktail was tasty and his value. The restaurant is a bit dull
The food and service were very good we had the fixed menu which was very good value.
Usually my partner and I go to different places for week dates, this place was superb !
Food was lovely. I had the chouxnut for desert which was very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ambience could have been better.
I met one of my friends who was over from Japan. We had the most beautiful food, excellent service and a chilled out atmosphere. I enjoyed it so much I am booking again for a group of friends next week.
Excellent food, good portion sizes and great value for money. One of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve had in London for a long time.
Lovely food
