The honesty and quality of food is very much our focus, with an emphasis on imaginative, modern British cooking, using fresh produce sourced by local suppliers. Our menus change monthly to reflect this. Our signature dishes include 6 hour braised beef ribs for two to share, and our bun & cheek - ox cheek braised in Worcestershire sauce, served in a brioche bun with hand cut chips and dipping gravy.
Drinks also celebrate in our entrepreneurial spirit, with 14 draught beers and ciders, and 5 changing guest ales.

Best roast I have had in a long time! Deserts also great. I asked for extra gravy as meal wasn’t piping hot but that wouldn’t stop me recommending it returning
The pub is very handy for Sadlers Wells and offers a discount to ticket holders which is a definite plus. The menu offers good variety but is not too long; the staff were welcoming and warmly efficient. We went on a Saturday night when there was rugby on the television plus a private celebration and it was very, very noisy. It may be quieter at other times but it is clearly a popular place so is never likely to be silent. That said the dining area is set back from the main bar area so offers a little reduction in noise. Despite all that will probably give it another try.
Very good food and excellent staff! Would recommend it
Probably the best Sunday lunch/dinner in London. Amazing food, great place and staff are first rate. Sunday quiz is a lot of fun too - did it whilst we ate!!
Superb food came out piping hot and all 6 of us could not fault it. Definitely will be returning.
Great food and service as always
Great Sunday roast - lovely food and good, friendly service. Highly recommended.
Overall our experience was very good. There was a lovely ambience on entering the bar. Our table was ready for us when we arrived and the restaurant not too noisy or busy. Our waitress was attentive and the food was great and arrived in a reasonable time. Most of us had burgers and the fries were lovely and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Personally I would love to have seen a few more 'light/veggie' options on the menu but I wouldn't say this affected my experience.
The staff were amazing, so calm and friendly even though it was bustling! The food was incredible. I’ve had a lot of pork belly in my time but that was honestly the best yet! Great atmosphere. What a lovely place.
Great food, the service was a little slow, but a great place for a Sunday lunch and get together. Staff were great about our little girl too.
Really great meal but the staff were rude and service was very slow (especially as the pub was virtually empty when we arrived).
Really friendly service, good pub food and great beer.
Very enjoyable, tasty food. We ate on a Monday night, so although we booked, that was probably unnecessary.
Friendly helpful staff.
Warm, cozy winter evening with good company and reasonable food around a real fire.
Very nice pub, great food and drinks selection. A bit on the classical side, but with a modern touch. A place to visit, even if it takes 15 minutes with an Uber to get there.
Really great atmosphere and friendly , helpful staff .i normally go most Sundays and The Sunday roast is fantastic . The celeriac and Apple soup delicious . All in all I would thoroughly recommend a visit .
Really tasty vegetarian wellington, and the service is always impeccable.
Food was good, but service was slow.
Booked for 12,15 as we had to be in Sadlers Wells by 2pm.
Not shown to our correct table until 12.35pm.
12.5% service charge was steep too.
The food was good but small portions even for this part of London so poor value for money
Fantastic service and superb food. Thank you! Will definitely return.
Always very good in every way!! Never disappointed yet!
The food is great but the roast chicken was not very nice. They must now cook it in a steam bath and quickly finish in the oven. The texture is spongy and the colour of the skin pale and slimy. Not an attractive looking dish and a weird texture to eat. Would avoid it if your looking for a classic roast chicken.
Some staff are rude but the majority are nice.
We dined at the Wilminton following our visit to the Sadler's Wells theatre. The food, ambiance and service were all very good and we would definitely recommend eating in this pub/restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a discount on our bill on the production of our theatre tickets.
Delicious food, freshly cooked and generous portions. As it's freshly cooked, it can take a while to arrive which means we have to skip pudding if on our way to Sadlers Wells. Noise level pretty high but not too bad for a pub restaurant.
My husband and I like to go for a Sunday Roast each Sunday. This was the best Sunday Roast we have had for some time. The staff were very friendly and the service excellent.
The food was excellent but it took 45 minutes from arriving for our main course to arrive. We were pre theatre so this left us no time for desserts. We weren't offered sauces and had to get up and ask for them and our side dish arrived once we'd almost finished our mains.
Fantastic food and service. Menu was excellent and varied and I’m looking forward to re-visiting soon.
We love this pub, it’s our local and always enjoy going here. Food was good but I was disappointed that you still have to pay extra for vegetables just to go with your mains!!!
Brilliant entertainment on New Year’s Eve and staff always brilliant xx
Delicious food and lovely venue. Staff were as helpful as they could be given how busy they were. Service was slow- suggest Wilmington hires additional staff to help!
Never disappoint. The roast was super flavoursome.
5.15pm booking was for pre-theatre dinner. We made it known that we needed to leave at 6.45. Due to an apparent shortage of staff in the kitchen it took 70 minutes to serve two courses. The stress induced indigestion negatively detracted from an otherwise pleasant meal with a 20% theatre discount applied to the bill.
Really enjoyed our meal at this friendly pub with a nice range of choices for vegetarians too!
Recommended by friends and it was great! V was wonderful and very friendly. We shared the braised rib (for two) and couldn’t be happier!
Charming anfnd friendly ambiance with delicious food!
We were staying at The Crowne Plaza Hotel nearby (5 min walk). We went to the Wilmington twice. Great place, very good food and friendly service, for a good price. Highly recommended!
Lovely food, nice atmosphere the only thing to complain about is that one of the waitresses forgot to bring our extra drinks
Great Sunday roast.
Beautiful natural light, good ambience, excellent service, amazing food - recommend the lamb roast
My friend and I went to The Wilmington for a Sunday roast. The food was delicious but the portions were a bit small.
The service was fantastic. Our table for 2 was available when we arrived and the waiter was very friendly and also very proactive by checking on us several times.
The place is absolutely packed on Sunday afternoons but the noise level was more than acceptable.
We shall definitely have a roast there again.
Love this place. There's always great vibes and suits families and friends alike.
The food is always amazing, though sticky toffee pudding slightly strange ( way too much toffee syrup)
