Great service. Robert was an excellent server. The ambiance was nice even though dinner was in the Mallard Lounge as opposed to the regular dining area, which was temporarily closed for renovations.

Amanda was our server and was personable and attentive. She was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and recommended an excellent Pinot Gris. The only draw back is that the Wildflower is temporarily in the lounge area which I fully understand and look forward to seeing the new layout.

Dear Brian, Thank you for taking the time to share this with us! We're so pleased Amanda looked after you so well. A great wine recommendation can make a meal that much more enjoyable, and we're delighted her Pinot Gris suggestion was a hit! We really appreciate your understanding while the Wildflower is temporarily making itself at home in the lounge during renovations. We're just as excited for the new space and would love to welcome you back to experience it once complete. In the meantime, we hope to see you again soon! Kind regards, Wildflower Management

I made reservations here as most restaurants in Whistler during this fall shoulder season have a prix fix menu ( 4 courses for $40) ( and wildflower did too as per their website). When we arrived there was not a prix fix menu and it was just à la carte. The restaurant is also being renovated so it has basically been moved into eating in the lobby. Not what I was expecting, soup was cold when it arrived at the table & portions are small & unimpressive for the price. Service was decent. Will likely not return, especially when there are so many better shoulder season specials ( fall prix fix menus) at other restaurants in Whistler village. Overall disappointing.

Dear Rebecca, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re truly sorry to hear that your visit was disappointing and didn’t meet your expectations. We understand how frustrating it must have been to arrive expecting a fall prix fixe menu and a different dining setting. We also apologise that your soup wasn’t served at the proper temperature and that the overall meal fell short of what you had hoped for. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us understand where we can do better. We hope you might consider giving us another opportunity to welcome you back and provide the warm, enjoyable dining experience we want all our guests to have. Kind regards, Wildflower Management

We didn’t know that the Wildflower Restaurant is undergoing renovations and because of that, the current dining area is right next to the lounge/bar. There was live music, which made it much too loud for an enjoyable dinner. If we had only known before we had made reservations… Service was friendly and attentive. Caesar salad was huge, easily serving two or even three for a starter. My prime rib was tasty though sadly the Yorkshire Pudding was solid and dense and the jus much too salty. The prawn pasta was nice. We didn’t stay for dessert because was didn’t like the live music.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re pleased to hear that our team provided friendly and attentive service, but we’re truly sorry that the temporary dining arrangements and live music affected your evening. We understand how important the atmosphere is to an enjoyable dinner and regret that these changes were not communicated clearly before your arrival. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the prime rib and Yorkshire pudding, which we will share with our culinary team. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a more enjoyable experience in the future.

It was disappointing to find out upon arrival at the restaurant that the Wildflower was closed for renovation and put into part of the Mallard Lounge. Everything from the food and service to the ambience was below Fairmont’s standard. It would have been much better to inform guests of this change at time of booking.

Beautiful setting and A+ service!! Food was EXPENSIVE, as expected, but didn’t quite live up to expectations. Simple things like a very dry Caesar salad, overly creamy seafood chowder, octopus that was a bit too chewy.
