Everything was excellent. The only issue we had was the price fixed menu at $93 per person, kids as well was very expensive, but our son was very happy, it was his 28th birthday and he loved it and he is an excellent student, and so worth it.

Amazing view, that's for sure. Food was OK but nothing like advertised. A serious chief wouldn't allow lobster to be frozen I think where there's live lobster everywhere around. Don't go there for the amazing food that's promised but for the wonderful view that's really there.

All was good but we were still sitting in the table when they started to throw all food away in plastic bags
We felt that was very agressive because it was a lot of food just going to trash

Our dinner was shortened because of blackout in Manhattan. We had our appetizers which were delicious and then the kitchen shut down from the blackout. They gave us cheesecake for desert and didn't charge us for anything.
The waiter was very concerned about the blackout and reassured us and guided us to the staircase to walk down 24 flights to our room.

The food was just ok. Way too much money for the quality of the food. We ate the night before in little italy, spent half as much and loved it. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will say that the waiter was exceptional. We had just finished our meal when the power went out in Manhattan for 20 blocks. Restaurant is ont he 47th floor so we had to huff it down a lot of stairs. The waiter was very nice and reassuring.

We were there when the power went out. I commend the hostess and the rest of the staff for the calm, efficient manner in which they evacuated the restaurant without causing panic. The entire hotel staff responded in an exemplary manner, providing waters bottle to those in the stairwell and later in the theatre lobby. I was feeling a little lightheaded and no sooner did I walk into the theatre lobby that a chair was placed under me. Kudos to the Marriott Marquis for handling a crisis in an outstanding manner! Now I just have to work up my courage to go back up to the restaurant in the glass elevator.

The restaurant is dated and the food arrived very quick and cold as it had been sitting waiting for us to finish out starter under a silver plate cover. We felt rushed, in and out within the hour..... we didn't even get to see a full turn..... although the view is ok in places the fixed menu was pricey for what it was and I would say you are paying for the view even though that wasn't all exciting... a lot of the hotels roof and ventilation system is what you see. There is only 1/2 lifts up to it and a long que as we arrived at opening time. I wouldn't recommend it there are better places to eat if you happy to not be so far up.

Wine was way overpriced. Everything looks dated and old and worn. For paying $74USD per bottle of wine (for something that I buy on the shelf for $18 Canadian) I expected better.

Food was nice and well presented. Waiter very polite and courteous. Good views overlooking Times Square. However, one thing which we found was that 18% gets added onto your total bill at the end (your not given a choice of how much gratuity you want to give) it does say on the menu that if you are a party of 6 or more then that will be the percentage but there was only 2 of us and we thought it was a little steep.

We had a wonderful time. We had a tween granddaughter with us; and her first formal type event. It was delicious. Disappointed my steak was overcooked; But I did not say anything. Luis was our waiter and he was fantastic! He attended to our every request. He even took time to answer our questions about the surrounding area.

We had an incredible experience at The View restaurant in NYC and went based on a word of mouth recommendation from my parents. Excellent service, great food, quiet restaurant, incredible (and unique) view and good value for money taking all of the above into account. Will definitely return on our next trip to NYC and continue to recommend. Our main server was Marcel and he was outstanding, as was another gentleman (but we didn’t get his name) who also assisted our table. It was a trip to celebrate my 30th birthday and on the evening we were there it was my partners actual birthday. This was acknowledged upon entry by the host which was a classy touch, as was the additional birthday cake which was brought to the table with our desserts. This made our trip even more special and the service alone (not even including the food or view) was not matched anywhere else for us in New York. Outstanding.

The overall experience was fair. There is an ambiance to the revolving ring of tables, but the overall theme and presentation felt dated. The food was also subpar, especially considering the price. Our party of 12 (business dinner) felt like we were at an average wedding venue and this food was being prepared in mass quantities. It felt like a hotel kitchen, not an autonomous culinary experience. I don’t believe I would recommend for future business meals.

One server was amazing. Other was absolutely terrible. I ordered lamb rare. Came out medium-well. Sent it back and it came back medium. Didn’t eat it. After two tries which were over cooked it’s times I gave up. Would not recommend the food there to anyone but ambience was great.

I'm from out of town and saw how beautiful and unique this place was so I made reservations as soon as I found out it was a rotating restaurant ! Everything from service, to drinks, and food was excellent! It was my friends birthday and they came out with a little dessert and sang happy birthday to him after our entree I thought this was really nice and wasn't expected which made it even better. A bit more on the pricey side but it was honestly amazing and a great experience. The view is better at night.
