The Teahouse Restaurant
One of Stanley Park’s historic seaside landmarks, this popular meeting spot is minutes from downtown Vancouver and boasts an outdoor fireplace on the restaurant’s patio, which looks out to sunset views of Georgia Strait from the western tip of Stanley Park.
For private events, the Teahouse has three distinct rooms; perfect for seminars, meetings or special occasions of any kind. Each room offers ocean views that are unmatched in Vancouver.

Incredible food, beautiful view, and excellent service. It is a tad expensive, but I’d say worth it for what you get. Perfect for a date night!
It seems something changed with COVID. Has management changed? There isn't a brunch menu anymore. The atmosphere and experience was great but the price point was extraordinarily high to what we were accustomed to when we went in the past prior to 2020. We were quite taken aback by the cost and stayed only because we had planned to enjoy the late afternoon there. The dishes were good but not exceptional.
I would recommend the Teahouse but warn about the pricing in case they go thinking the pricing is what we were used to prior to COVID, which was much more reasonable.
Vraiment bon restaurant. Magnifiquement situé. Beau menu, excellent service. Ce restaurant vaut le détour pour y prendre un verre, un repas ou juste le thé de l’après-midi dans un décor naturel avec une vue imprenable sur la baie et le pont.
We came to celebrate my wife’s birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent and the service was very attentive to our needs. My wife had the sablefish, I had the duck confit, and my son had the bone-in New York steak. We finished with a baked Alaska and lemon tart with our tea and coffee.
The location is wonderfully nestled between Second and Third Beach in Stanley Park. Just be aware of the new traffic patterns in the park. It’s a bit tricky to get to now.
Used to love it. Food taste is quality but for 55 dollars all you get is two spindles of asparagus and a bit of potato with the entree. Is it not possible to put in some effort to create a dish with a nice veg and garnish. Not worth the $ IMO.
A very enjoyable treat for my birthday. Excellent meal served by a very nice lady. Service was great. Meal items delicious. Stuffed mushrooms and heirloom tomato and burrata salad for starters followed by rack of lamb for me and sablefish for the wife. Dessert was baked Alaska and that was a superb finish to a lovely meal.
Excellent food service and location
Would highly recommend
Great food, great table location, great service. We dined July 30th at the TeaHouse, it was a wonderful summer evening.
Not much on the menu, it was ok but portions were not sizeable for what we paid for.
Service was amazing and same with location.
Even before we arrived, we received a call from the Teahouse restaurant telling us the road was blocked due to a fallen tree. When we said that we'd still like to come, the staff gave us clear instructions as to where best to park and walk about 20 minutes. The food was excellent and our evening special.
Lovely setting. Fabulous waiter. Great friends. So lucky to have this gem in Vancouver. A tad pricey but tasty!!
First time out in a long time. Brought back many happy memories of previous visits. The location is completely unique. The service was warm, friendly and subtle. The food was delicious.
Very pleasant dinner in a beautiful relaxed atmosphere. I had been expecting a view of the ocean, but the place is surrounded by hedges that block any view. Slightly disappointing, but the food was very well prepared with perfectly smallish portions allowing a salad, main, and dessert without feeling stuffed. Very good service. Definitely one of the better places in a city full of good restaurants.
We had an excellent dinner and we very much appreciated the two complimentary glasses of bubbly along with the chef's delight. Also our waiter, Damion, was outstandingly excellent. - very competent, highly skilled, informative and attentive. We were celebrating our 28 Anniversary and the warmth of his demeanor made us feel very comfortable and welcomed.
Always a nice time at the tea house. Will always be one of my favourite places to dine at in Vancouver.
Everything about the Teahouse Restaurant is first class. I’ve been going there for probably 50 years and it has never changed in terms of service and the quality of their food. It’s always been outstanding! And the setting is one of the nicest in the world.
Overall good service, food and ambience. Definitely too pricey.
The food and presentation were excellent. Our waiter,Alex, was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Beautiful view of the sunset. Music and ambience were perfect. We have had many dinners and lunches at the restaurant over the years and we have never been disappointed.
The best restaurant in Vancouver. This is an elegant place with high-quality food. The service is outstanding. The collection of wines are balanced and perfect. The place has such a great view, we have a very lovely evening.
Beautiful restaurant with good food and excellent service.
The service, food and ambience were terrific. We enjoyed every minute of our Teahouse experience.
John was our server and entertained us in a very pleasant way.
We had the Lobster Bisque and the Stuffed mushroom as entrées. Main was Canard Confit and the Halibut; beautifully presented and delicious.
Wine: Cedar Creek Chardonnay Block 5.
We are blessed the Tea House has reopened considering the ongoing pandemic.
Love The Teahouse.
Our server John - great sparkling personality; staff - very friendly and efficient.
The vegetarian dishes - divine, my companion enjoyed rack of lamb
and the desert - Crème Brule - best ever! Hats off to the chef!
There is no better place to celebrate a special occasion than The Teahouse!
Barry made our wedding anniversary a really great celebration. We’ve wanted to dine at the Teahouse for years and it totally lived up to our expectations.
Great place for dinner. Summer sunsets are awesome! Great food and service!
The food & service was great. Limited menu which they are working on. The only thing that most of the staff did not wear masks except our server. All customers that walked in had masks on. Disappointed as on they’re website mentions part of they’re covid protection masks were being worn. We stayed but felt uncomfortable Unfortunately will not go again for quite a while nor will our friends.
A Vancouver Institution still going strong! Beautiful evening
great spot, great food
Fantastic anniversary dinner with a great duck dish. And excellent service
Food was very good but very small portions of veg. Lamb very expensive considering there was only half a rack. Wine very expensive. I can somewhat understand that restaurants have to make up for losses during the pandemic but will we return in the near future?
Lovely venue. Fun and efficient service.
I thought the service was a little off. Seemed we had to ask for everything ie like can you get us more water, need more coffee, etc. also removal of dishes was slow. Just missing that little extra touch that you are special. The dinner presentation was good 😊.
We haven’t been in many years. A special birthday warranted a special place and memory. Did not disappoint - service was outstanding, food was delicious and the view & sunset spectacular. We will be back again soon!
It used to be our favourite restaurant but not anymore. The change in menus is not good
We were celebrating a wedding anniversary and the staff made it a special evening. We have been dining at this restaurant for decades and have never been disappointed.
We came to celebrate my moms 40th anniversary for work. The entire experience was amazing! John, our server went above and beyond to make the entire evening absolutely amazing. He was attentive, very kind, and hilarious and the cherry on top of a fine dining experience. The food was phenomenal, and the ambience of sitting on the patio was perfect. An absolute must visit restaurant in Vancouver, thank you for making this evening one of the most memorable for our family!
Beautiful venue. Top shelf service. Fantastic meal but bring your wallet. Worth every penny though.
Always a treat to have dinner here - outstanding service , great food and probably the best location in town with fantastic views.
The idiot Parks board have most of the road round the Park down to one lane - saw three cyclists using it and it was 6.30pm on a Friday …… wow ! - how much does it cost them ( actually that’s Vancouver tax payers …. ) to rent and place the 2000 or so traffic cones …… We were just happy to see the Teahouse was almost full - parks board of course jacked up the parking fees …..maybe to help pay for traffic cones ?
Maybe the best food I have ever had, and the service was far and away the best we’ve ever seen.
My wife and I had a lovely anniversary dinner on the outside patio at the Teahouse in Stanley Park. The food was delicious and the setting was picturesque. Our waiter, John, was a pleasure. He was charming, funny, and entertaining. Overall, a very nice dinner.
Always have a wonderful experience when I dine here. The food is consistently amazing the service is top notch. Our waiter John made it extra special
