This is one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin- had lunch here 3 times in The last week- such a pleasant relaxing and friendly dining experience and the attention to social distancing and hygiene is second to none. Well done ‘Saddle Room’ and thank you and your staff for making us feel welcome, relaxed and well fed. Looking forward to our next visit- we hope you can remain open during these strange days. A super awesome venue for lunch - everything is luscious.

Opened bottles of still and sparking water without offering us tap water. At 8€ a bottle of still water is not on.
Told us to order sides as the boiled potatoes were poor and always got thrown out.
Waited a long time for deserts to arrive
Absolutely brilliant service from the beginning when derek pick the call and clear all my doubts before Dine in. Covid 19 regulation in place but colleagues all over the place to help n support. Never felt the new normal. Good ambience, ali who served us know his job, worth talking to him about the Menu. Knowledgeable guy, thanks ali for your brillant service. A Happy smiling line manager (2-5pm) does a floor walk every 15mins that shows his responsibility.

Lovely food, wine and ambience. Felt very safe as excellent social distancing measures. Staff very nice and attentive.
We really enjoyed our evening out in the Saddle Room. Service was excellent and a special mention to staff member at front of house who went out of her way to help our guests with a booking to stay in your hotel on their wedding day next week.
The staff at the saddle room were very friendly and efficient The food was just superb from start to finish there was not one thing I could find fault with this meal reasonable priced . The only downside to the evening was I found the wine very pricey at 15 Euro a glass you wouldn’t be having very many of them

Was very disappointed with the Kir we had ordered, a Kir made from white wine and cassis, when it arrived it was not as ordered, not made with cassis but some raspberry cordial. Extraordinary that a 5 star hotel did not have a bottle of cassis

Have eaten there before and same high standards exist. Covid changes have been handled in a fair and unobtrusive way. Service was excellent and the food very good. Look forward to dining there again.
Very well organised dining experience. The staff were most helpful and welcoming :-) Food was very good and enjoyable. Table d'hôte menu was excellent value, beef daube delicious.

We found the Saddle Room very bland.No candle, no flowers, no background music. We could hear conversations on both tables either side of ours. I left our house with my decision made. I wanted the lobster. Rory talked me out of it! Twice!! He said I'd be very disappointed with it and it's presentation. He said most people he has served it to have been disappointed. So...I opted for the sole which was delicious. Service was very slow in the beginning. Our table was booked for 5:30 and we arrived at that time. We paid our bill at 19:41. That's more time than the Covid allowance. On both occasions that I visited the ladies I met two people each time without a mask. The second time was the restrooms off the dining room. One man came out of the gents without a mask as I was going down the stairs and inside the ladies there was a woman with no mask on.
Pauline, I am truly sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. Our Lobster is served as Thermidor style without the shell. This is explained to ensure the guest receives what they expect. We apologise if this was not clear, however we are delighted you enjoyed your Sole. We strive to ensure all guests abide by the guidelines. It is difficult to enforce mask wearing throughout the hotel and we apologise if this made you feel unsafe. Looked after marvellously by the team here, for a double celebration. Service could not be faulted, and food very, very tasty. Lovely selection of wines by the glass as well. Made our celebration, esp given the restriction from vivid at this time.
The Shelbourne Hotel is our favourite hotel. We went there this week to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary as we had our wedding night in the Shelbourne. Our waiter Ali made the visit very memorable as he had a great balance between friendly, funny and professional. The food was lovely. The atmosphere was a bit stifled but I think that was due to COVID measures although in general they need to be careful about sanitizing the old world ambience away. Removing the iconic statues was a mistake. Finally, I know it is a 5 star hotel but the prices have sky rocketed in the past 4-5 years. They have doubled and as a result, our visits have halved. €6 for a coffee, really?

Getting married the following day
We had lunch at the Shelbourne for the first time last week and the food was exceptional. I expected the room itself to be more grand, similar to where the afternoon tea is, however, we got a nice table in the corner. The hotel was very organised and we felt safe.
The food was exceptional and overall very good value. The wine was expensive with no bottle within our budget, but we enjoyed a glass.
Overall a very good experience, I would recommend and hope to return.
Food was delicious but just 2 tiny slices of bread were given and no option to choose another variety. For an expensive venue no extras offered like coffee refill or mints. An extra bottle of wine incorrectly added to the bill was removed when brought to the attention of the manager, who was very pleasant but would recommend scrutinizing your bill.
Great steak and great wine. The environment is a little old-fashioned.
Starters and Dessert were good. Main course of Daube of beef was very poor quality.
The overall meal did not represent good value.
Everything was lovely, food and staff were great, Shelbourne or not €21 for 3 coffees and a tea is outrageous!!!!
