Champagne 🥂 was waiting in honor of our 20th anniversary. Excellent service, amazing meal. We will be back!!
A wed night. Otherwise quiet( I presume as usual).we had a great table w a heater . Food was very very good. Waiter attentive and very polite. Great time had by all. We will be back
Good food. Good service. Careful adherence to Covid precautions. Outdoor seating was very nice.
Very nice all around,Barb was our awesome waitress
Great food and service. always a nice spread to choose from
Saturday Sept. 12: Unusually strange visit. Maybe because of Covid?
Did not get regular area seating like we usually do for our anniversary (we've been coming to Roycroft for each anniversary 22 years!) and server just off. Not treated like we usually are and not regular staff. Hostess was rushing us to sit and did not let us move to more ambient, anniversary celebration conducive seat. Later, another couple was able to easily switch from next to us (we got stuck on side porch which is fine but wanted something different for celebration) to main peristyle. Server said dessert on the house b/c of anniversary and billed full amount. When we asked about the complimentary dessert, called my husband a "brat" and took only one of them off the bill. If this happened to be our first visit, we'd probably never return! However, we are regulars, all the time, not just our anniversary, miss seeing regulars at the bar, Mason typing on laptop, all that. So, we won't let one weird day of incompetent hostess and server. Entirely low bar evening. We sat on lawn couch after with torches and made up for it. Hopefully soon back to normal!
Perfect place for safe pandemic dining. And very good menu offerings.
It was a glorious day to drive to the Roycroft and enjoy dining on their porch. Sandwich of the day, chicken salad with ginger was terrific. Love their “little slice” dessert. Our waitperson was very friendly and helpful.
Fish was dry, chicken in chicken ceasar was dry, scallops undercooked. Setting is lovely, service was decent.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner outside on the Roycroft’s porch. The ambiance couldn’t have been nicer and we felt completely safe throughout our meal.
Although the heater nearest to our table was not working, the restaurant had blanket shawls, which my husband used!
Food was delicious and service outstanding!! We will be back soon and have been recommending the Roycroft to everyone, especially during the pandemic, when dining out is often difficult to do.
Service was wonderful. Scallops were medium-sized and some were dryer than they should have been; there were about 7 or 8. Salmon was good and it was a nice-sized piece. Rice was extremely dry. Salad was tasty but too watery, but I’m glad they washed it! Martini was excellent as was the bread. Veggies were fine. For the price, I will go elsewhere next time.
We ate outdoors and the service and quick and food excellent. Staff was attentive and very friendly and accomodating.
Enjoy roycroft ambience, food and quality of food and service. Moved inside because of cool weather good idea. Would highly recommend
The outside dining is perfect! Bringing our own bottle of wine without an uncorking charge (Wed) is a nice perk! Our appetizers had mixed reviews. The crab cakes were to die for, but the shrimp cocktail(6 large shrimp ) were recently thawed and had that watery, tasteless, softness going on. Very disappointed in that, but everything else was wonderful. Our dinners were very good. I had the scallops, done to perfection, with the truffle risotto. My husband had the tenderloin, done as requested and served with seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes, excellent choice!
Wonderful as always!
The staff at the Roycroft is superbly trained, making the dining experience so very pleasurable. Their meals are prepared to your specification and their selections are just right - there is something for everyone's taste buds. The ambiance on their patio is perfect for lunch or dinner. This is one of East Aurora's treasures.
beautiful place, great menu and such a peaceful setting. We cant wait to go back! Adding a bit of music even at low volume outside, would be great :)
Food was good. Service was slower but still good. Lots of bugs and flies which was annoying but we were outside.
Excellent and Friendly service. The food was outstanding.
We enjoyed the meal and beautiful cake the chef made for us! The Inn has a lot of history and it’s just nicely decorated!
Always a wonderful experience. Beautiful building, great food and kind servers. The truffle chips are amazing!
Always a wonderful experience! Great service and friendly staff!
Great ambience, very attentive staff and good food. I'm a vegetarian and there are always wonderful options for me. I love the 1920s charm and sitting on the veranda.
The Roycroft has the most beautiful ambience in all of WNY. Nothing even comes close to the
Arts & Crafts style whether you're dining indoors or on the the gorgeous front porch.
Sadly, after many years the food is still only mediocre and pricey. Dishes are not creative or particularly tasty, even salads. A new chef could make the Roycroft the finest place for dining for any occasion. I hope that happens soon! Good place to go for a drink or dessert but not lunch, dinner or even Sunday brunch.
Wonderful, huge porch in an old inn built in 1905. Relaxing atmosphere and wonderful food and service. All safety requirements being followed for safe dining.
I would give the place a second try, I ordered a Steak, A little over cooked, I ordered it medium rare. The sauce on it was very good but overall the quality of the steak for the price was not any better then I would get at Dash's Supermarket. The deserts were great and very well priced. It is worth the second try juts on the vibe and service
Went on a monday- most things closed on campus, disappointing. Got in early for lunch. Had to wait what seemed an inordinate amount of time for drinks to arrive (no body else there). Got a nice piece of cheesy bread. My entree' (stir fry) appeared to be warmed up, like microwave leftovers, rather than fresh. The so-called tenderloin beef in it was anything but tender - seemed more like chewy chuck. Highlight of the meal was the chocolate cake - delicious!
Brunch was delicious! Fresh omelettes and fruit, delicious prime rib and turkey carved, a few salad choices, bacon sausage ...plus bottomless drink choices... grear atmosphere as always on porch
Went to the Roycroft for our anniversary. We got a complimentary glass of champagne before our cocktail. Lynn was terrific as our waitress.
We went to the Roycroft for my wife’s birthday. We were unable to get a dinner reservation so we took a lunch slot. Which actually worked out better.
There’s not too much to say; it’s the Roycroft so we sat outside on the huge covered patio. The ambiance was great, the service was excellent and the food, as always, was superb.
The highlight of the meal was the dessert. I had the Creme Brûlée and my wife and sons all opted for the peanut butter chocolate pie. The brûlée was great as always but the PBC pie is so good it’s hard to believe it’s legal.
Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back.
We sat on the terrace for a truly enjoyable evening. My risotto and scallops were amazingly delicious, my husband's salmon perfect. The service was very good. A great anniversary dinner.
A very special place for a relaxing dining experience with excellent service and great food. It's worth the drive.
At this time of the pandemic, the Roycroft is the perfect place to enjoy a lunch outdoors. I have had lunch here three times this summer and have enjoyed everything about it. The menu is creative and we have never been disappointed in our choices. In addition, it is in a quiet location, away from the sounds of Main St. traffic.
Great ambiance, food and service. Nice place to have a relaxing lunch with a view.
It’s always a very relaxing experience and a jewel of East Aurora. I actually ate on their porch twice this week and had the same delicious risotto both times.
It was my mom's 90th birthday. I brought a small cake for four. The waitress took it and after dinner she never brought the cake out to sing happy birthday. Instead she cut the cake and served it with a candle in a piece. My mom never saw what the cake looked like. PLUS she tried to charge $2.50 to cut the cake saying it should have been per person! No class!
My husband & I were celebrating our anniversary & we have only been out to dinner 2 other times since covid hit. The Roycroft is a favorite place to go. The weather was perfect, a nice breeze on the porch. Staff was excellent. The food was superb! I had salmon, perfectly prepared. My husband had panseared pork chop which he said was excellent! Always room for dessert. I had a sliver of peanutbutter pie & my husband had a decadent piece of chocolate cake. Except for a few pesty flies it was a great evening!
Always delicious food, professional service and enjoyable ambiance! Convenient parking and outdoor seating that is welcoming and comfortable.
summer time lunch on the porch is lovely. Service was excellent we both had a salad & it was very good (hard to mess up a salad).
Great dinning experience
