Award Winning Contemporary American cuisine. Exceptional food in a neighborhood atmosphere.
I’m a frequent customer and was disappointed. We felt rushed, our food came out too fast, and we were given the check before finished. Not good!!
Halibut special was incredible! Tanner gave fantastic service!!
We love Mercury! Whether you sit in the main restaurant or sushi bar, it’s fun and consistently fabulous! My last server on Friday, September 6th, was amazing and also quite funny. The food is great; I adore their valet as well. Go!
It was very nice.
Delicious but pricey. Great varied menu. Everything we had was great! Way too noisy. Had to yell across the table to talk.
Very enjoyable! Food was delicious as was presentation!
one of the best in dfw..great appetizers, especially seared salmon and cous cous carbonaro..cracklin chicken excellent, steaks with dynamite sauce off the chart..
Amazing food and service!!!
Stopped in for dinner on a Friday Night. I have been here many times before. Place was busy. Sat at the bar and just did not seem to find any of bar or wait personnel friendly to their guests. Almost seemed as though we were bothering them. I suggest the manager send their personnel to Houston's or Al Berniets North when these places are busy see the difference in the way guests are greeted and treated with a smile. Also, we bought a bottle of Spring Mountain Cabernet, but when it came out it was a lower end Napa Valley version which has about a $25.00 difference in price. Brought it to a managers attention but no consideration offered.
I chose this as a date restaurant. If anyone knows the actress who played Frazier’s ex wife Lilith Bebe Neuwirth you’ve met our server. All the positivity and inflection of wet cardboard.
$15 drinks. Not uncommon for NYC. Dallas perhaps. But crafted and curated cocktails should taste as if they were curated purposefully not hoping for a happy accident. The Mexican standoff tasted like a bunch of tequila strained through the contents of an ashtray. It was smoky and dry despite the giant cube it was warm and somehow viscous without explanation.
The salads were out of a magazine in appearance from kitchen almost to table. But when using runners they need to be taught how to carry plates. The presentation of the salad was intentional by the chef when it is hamfisted and manhandled it arrives not as intended in appearance. While it didn’t desecrate the taste of the heirloom tomato salad that was left to the flavorless tomatoes and the ridiculously strong bacon vinaigrette that overpowered the barely evident mozzarella.
Service was rushed by swarms and at one point a coffee clutch broke out next our table for what reason we still don’t know. The drunken members were neither moved nor hurried along as the server swarm was off to the distance. The potatoes were whipped to a purée to the point of just almost soup and were barely edible with a fork. The steak presentation of a ribeye for that price should have been far better. The taste was okay. The Tuna Mignon was cooked perfectly but essentially was tasteless.
Lilith managed to bring our check promptly after clearing the debris and noting or non interest in dessert but could have saved the meal had she presented it as something that might be worth while. It was apparent we were occupying valuable real estate so we left with haste.
I am not sure what chef had in mind with chef’s acoummpnyments with the entrees and then the steak house fare and sides. All in all the Mercury doesn’t know what It wants
We were there for lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive. Group of 6 and we were easily able to have conversations amongst the entire group. Enjoyed the food but for the price I expected a little higher quality and taste.
Our party of four was not impressed. We had the Wild Mushroom Risotto, almond or pecan crusted trout, tacos and a pasta dish that was off-menu. We all tried the house salad and while the dressing and was a pleasing taste, the greens were drowned and wilted. Our entrees were all mediocre and didn't inspire our return. On a good note, we shared the creme brulee and the berry shortcake. Both were excellent. The service was very nice and the atmosphere is ellegant.
Great food, great service as always, Mehdi the waiter did a great job
The food and service at this restaurant are consistently exceptional. The menu is not pretentious and does not offer many entrees at the lower end of the price range. But the selection, presentation, preparation and quality are hard to beat in Dallas. We have never had a bad meal here. The service staff is congenial and professional, with amazingly low turnover. The ambiance is very comfortable. It is always busy, but not frenetic. I don't feel under dressed in khakis and a golf shirt, nor do I feel out of place if I am wearing a suit or sport coat after work. One cocktail, a glass of wine, appetizer and entree usually run about $100 to $125 person including a well deserved gratuity, or about 1/3 less with no alcohol. It's worth it.
Fabulous, could not have been better!
We love The Mercury. Food is excellent, consistent and service is always outstanding. Pick whatever you want from the menu and whether you like it or not, it is well prepared with fresh ingredients. We had dinner there on Friday night at about 9 pm. The problem is that like many Dallas fine dining places, the noise level is too high. We asked to be moved from main dining to sushi bar (you can get full menu for sushi and main restaurant). It was still too noisy. The acoustics cannot overcome the noisy diners. But, we will go back on a weeknight when it is near closing and the crowd is gone.
It could not have been better. I’ve eaten at what I thought were the best restaurants in Dallas. Mercury missed the list. After last evening it won’t miss it again.
Food, service, ambience, Vaud the were all bang on.
Had not been in some time and then had unfortunate experience on recent return. Management followed up and we look forward to dining there soon.
Birthday celebration. Wonderful time!
Food was excellent as usual. One of our favorite spots. However, ambiance was adversely affected by the lack of a dress code that allowed men in shorts without collared shirts to be served in the restaurant. This is too nice and expensive a place to have the ambiance destroyed by people who cannot observe basic expectations for dress in a fine dining restaurant
We were referred to The Mercury by local friends. It was described as a typical "old-time" Dallas kind of upscale restaurant. It had a very good wine list, although the markup was somewhat higher than we are used to. The restaurant itself is in a larger strip shopping center. Free Valet parking is offered.
The menu was varied and offered interesting appetizers and entrees. We enjoyed a warm goat cheese and beet salad which was very nice and a bibb and crab salad which was large but not exceptional. We are probably spoiled by having fresh crab on the coast. We split the Tuna Mignon which was attractively prepared but over cooked despite requesting it rare. Our sides of crispy brussel sprouts and gnocchi with wild mushrooms were unexceptional. We have had better at most restaurants. The crispy ZBrussel Sprouts weren't and the gnocchi while large and tasty lacked any memorable sauce.
Outstanding, as always. You can count on Mercury to be always fabulous.
Wonderful veal Milanese with risotto Bolognese. Caviar egg with a martini! Great service. The best restaurant in Dallas.
Food is delicious. we enjoyed our dinner very much.
Same as always. That’s why we are regular guests!
I love this cozy neighborhood spot! It's great every time.
Always good, excellent service, nice atmosphere, great presentation
While it is pricey, the food was excellent. Took an associate there for his birthday and a great dessert was provided. High marks!
We invited another couple to celebrate a special occasion. The service was superb. My husband and I ordered our entrees, salmon and veal with a side of brussel sprouts to share. Unfortunately, they were huge and under-cooked and we had great difficulty even cutting them to bite size. The Mercury should know better. Next time serve vegetables that are in-season or leave them off the menu.
Best burger & fries in Dallas in our opinion. Unfortunate that it's only available for lunch M-F. The waiter we had was what you would expect at McDonald's. No personality, never asked us if we wanted other drinks besides water, or an appetizer. When he finally got to our table, no introduction, just "Do you guys know what you want?"
Let me start off with the service. Our waiter Tanner was incredible. He was very kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The manager checked up on us to make sure everything is to our satisfaction.
The food was amazing!! My wife had the halibut and I had the Black peppers Custer Ahi Tuna; absolutely cooked to perfection. We will definitely go back!!
This is one of the most fabulous restaurants in Dallas. Impeccable service, excellent food and an overall wonderful experience.
The Mercury continues to be my favorite go-to lunch spot. Excellent food, great service and an outstanding environment with well-spaced tables and relatively quiet for conversation. Also great for dinner. Food consistently outstanding.
I’ve been here before and it was a great experience. This visit was a complete 180. First off when You book a reservation for the mercury Grill my expectation is to sit in the dining room for the atmosphere and ambiance of a relaxing somewhat formal dining room. Instead we were sat in the sushi bar side where it’s a completely different environment. Even though you can still order off the regular menu I did not spend 500$ on a meal to have people come in to pick up take out orders wearing gym shorts while I’m dining. The service was a little slow and we had to usually ask for our server for more wine on more than one occasion. We were a party of four and everyone’s food was good except for the Pork chop which was nothing but fat, Kroger has better quality pork chops then what was served last night.
The manger did do there diligence in providing comped appetizer and dessert. This is a gesture that is appreciated; however, the experience was still less than desirable.
As I said I loved this place the first time and they have an awesome diverse menu but PLEASE do not sit me in a sushi bar when I make reservations for a different environment.
I do not usually leave bad reviews as I work for a major hospitality company and understand the weight, pressure and stress that go into these reviews.
As stated the manger did their best to remedy the situation but the dinner just was not what I expected at all. I will be back but want it to be known that this place needs to operate these two dining rooms separately.
Always fine food and service
Fish entree was overcooked. But they comp'd our drinks when we complained. Over all good, also don't go there if you expect a steak house. Only a few offerings for steak. Not like I remembered it, but knowing now what they serve currently, I'd probably go back with different expectations
Great service and delicious
