We were drawn to The Melting Pot because of Washington Restaurant Week and we were not disappointed. Thank you to Leah and Latifah for a truly wonderful experience! As First-Timers Leah had to explain everything to us [several times] as even though we opted for the set Restaurant Week Menu we had so many choices, and asked so many questions from the ingredients to the cooking, Leah spent half of her shift at our table. Then filling up quickly we wanted to take most of the main course home with us to share with my 94 year-old Mom. This then involved the Reston Manager, Latifah, improvising with old wine bottles to carry home the different broths & providing eight different containers so we could take home every one of the offered dipping sauces. While many local restaurants have dropped their participation in Restaurant Week, or significantly narrowed their menu choices, this was not the case with The Melting Pot as they offered cheese fondue, choice of any salad, and not one, but all three at once [Teriyaki Steak, Herb-Coated Chicken, and Pacific White Shrimp] for the Main Entree. This left other decision factors like the Cooking Style. We tried both the signature Coq Au Vin and the Caribbean-inspired Mojo styles. Loved the Mojo! The first Cheese Fondue course we opted for the Spinach Artichoke and the Bacon & Brie. We could have easily stopped here as it was both delicious and very filling with so many different 'dipping' choices from bread & crackers, to vegetables to fruit. This was also lunch, so the $25 three course menu was truly a bargain and delicious to boot. But, overall it was the experience we enjoyed the most! Thank you to the management of The Melting Pot for participating in Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week and again especially to again Leah and Latifah for a truly great experience!!! We will be back!
Loved the Brie and bacon, California salad, teriyaki steak, and flaming turtle! Everyone was very friendly!
Wonderful meal and fun experience
We haven't eaten there since Covid started 2 yrs ago. But the food was excellent as always. Very generous portions, plus we asked for & received more of our favorite dipping items no charge. Service was excellent. The only negative thing was that we were the first in our section to be seated. The next group that came in about 15 min later was seated right next to us. IDK why we or they couldn't have been seated further apart from each other b/c there were still empty tables across from us when we left....
Took a vantage of DC metropolitan restaurant week special. Everything was exceptional and service was fantastic. Definitely recommend Reston melting pot.
Our waiter was attentive and helpful with explaining the "experience" to us. It was fun "grilling" at our own table and the meat and veges were top notch. We finished the experience with the chocolate fondue, of course!! We asked for additional fruits for dipping and we were obliged. Naturally, we were stuffed for hours afterwards.
My only criticism were the teeny pendulum lights over the table that made it nearly impossible to even read the menu or determine the doneness of the meat. More light would have helped so that we could put our phone flashlights away!
Even though they did not have a full staff, the restaurant seemed to be fully booked which led to a less than great experience. Between a delay in initial seating and an overworked waiter, who did his utmost throughout the meal to overcome the restaurant's staffing issues, we did not see a waiter until 30 minutes after our reservation time. Then, they were literally out of water glasses so we did not have water until after we had finished the cheese course. With the exception of the glass-shortage, our waiter managed to keep up most of the night but it was a very long evening. The 3-course meal for the 4 took almost 3 hours from the time of our reservation (7:15). I think management needs to re-think how many patrons they can handle at their current staffing levels.

We really enjoyed our server and the food was great. The only thing we all noticed was that the seats are very uncomfortable. You have to sit very upright. Fort a restaurant where is almost as much about the experience as the food, we found that strange.
Was wonderful, as always. Food was delicious. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. They decorated her dessert plate. Was great.
The meal and table service were great. We did have to wait awhile to be seated- there was a large group waiting and no one at the hostess stand for quite awhile. Some of those waiting said they had reservation times that were 15 minutes early so had been waiting awhile. This is a bit frustrating in times of COVID - you make reservations specifically to avoid being crammed in a tight space with people who are unmasked.
The food was great. We had shared we weee celebrating a birthday but they did nothing special like they had in past. Our waiter started off very attentive but then once the table next to use was seated, he seemed to give them all of his attention- it was a little disappointing to say the least.
We had a reservation for 8:30 and got seated at 8:50. So if you make a reservation I would make it a little bit earlier than you want. Other than that, the waitress was great & the food was delicious!
I love the Melting Pot and the food was very good, like always. I actually like choosing my favorites a little better than the limited choices with the 5 course New Year’s Eve Special, but it was definitely a nice experience and completely understandable considering they seemed fully booked and they threw in extras like champagne, a gift card drawing, hats and tiaras and beads. The service was great, the manager stopped by and others helped our server to keep dishes cleared and things moving right along.

So this place is good for kids teens in particular because they get involved and literally cook their food themselves. It can bring families together. Families that cook together stay together!! Fun place to be. Definitely one must try.

This was my first time ever eating at the Melting Pot. My sister and I had a wonderful experience and our waiter was extremely helpful and personable - especially for a couple of newbies!

Staffing level was very low. Manager had to serve as the wait staff for our table. She keep on getting called away. Long period of time between when food was served. Booth was very uncomfortable and cramped
Thoroughly disappointed in this location and experience last night. Was seated 30 minutes after reservation time. Food was not properly prepared to be labeled GF. They had gluten marinated meat on top of the non gluten meat. The veggies had cross over gluten items along with GF. Cross contamination causing me to be unable to eat. The waitress was clearly stressed and working too many tables , with a party of 8 we should of had an attendant checking in on us more often than once every 20 minutes. We were sat in the rear of the restaurant, the black walls are filthy with grease, the lighting was out causing difficulty determining if some meats were cooked appropriately. We did against my own wanting to leave a tip but in no way was it earned . Our bill was over $500 and nothing was edible, really only 1 cheese and the chocolate, not the strawberries since they were sliced paper thin. How could you even dip that, bruised bananas.
Enjoyed another wonderful evening at this Melting Pot location (our favorite) for an annual dinner we do with family to celebrate the holidays. Had a full course offering of cheese fondue, meats and seafood, and a dessert fondue. Everything was delicious - the vegetables, fruit, bread, meats and seafood were all extremely fresh. Our service was fantastic - Denzel outdid himself again (we’re sad that he is leaving soon). Highly recommend!
Melting Pot did not disappoint!
We came here for the BFFF (Best Fondue Friends Forever) Ladies Night. Unfortunately our server didn't remember to give us the 'special' items for this night, such as the prosciutto and summer sausage add-ons for the cheese course. We reminded him before dessert and he did bring out the macarons/ cream puffs. Definitely elevates the experience with these items, since they aren't normally available for the regular four-course meals. Overall, we had a good experience. We'll definitely come back again.
The service was exceptional. Both our server was so attentive and the manager saw we had a toddler and was super engaging with her and gave her a Melting Pot teddy bear. It was a beautiful evening

Took over 3 hours to dine. 45 min between dinner & dessert—we just sat there. We are regulars ad this as usual.

From beginning to end the service was great! Dean our server was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was warm and cozy, especially good when the weather isn’t agreeable. The manager was present and came by and introduced himself. Overall, will be coming again for another great date night. Oh, the cost and quality of the food was amazing.
We waited very long for the entrees. It took us 3 hours to complete the experience for two menu. The restaurant is dark and smelly. Overall I do not think that I would pay that much to wait 3 hours for a dinner
