In general, I found the Melting Pot not a place to go to for the food or value, but more for the fun of it. Here the service can be a big part of the experience. Unfortunately, it was mediocre at best. As a family of 5, we made the most of it and had a fun evening.
Service was rushed but server was polite. Nice for special occasions. Food was good for what it was.
This is a great place to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions. The service is great and the food too.
A fight broke out and police were called....
We had an amazing date night with the help of Luis (hopefully spelling that right). We did the Arlington special and I definitely feel like we got our money's worth. I'm looking forward to coming back!
Our server, Manuel was very nice and attentive. All very good!
Cheese and chocolate courses are great but the meat course was only fair.
Server was amazing, however for the price “$120” we both left still a little hungry. Cheese fondue and turtle chocolate were pretty good, and we were offered extra dipping sides. Meal was extra small, I did the 3 course and received 6 shrimp/ 6 sausages/ ans 4 little chunks of teriyaki steak. I was thinking to myself, where is the rest of my meat for this price lol. I would go back again, only if someone else is paying though.
My friend told me he wanted to try a fondue place on this trip to DC, so I took him to The Melting Pot to enjoy a 4-course meal. We started with the Bourbon Bacon Cheddar which we enjoyed tremendously. That was followed by the salad course and then the protein assortment. We ordered a classic and a create your own platter and shared all the flavors. The meal ended with a tough choice between the Dark Dulce or the Cookie Butter Crunch. After going with the Cookie Crunch, I was told it was a great choice and really my only choice since they were out of dulce. And he wasn't kidding. It was obscenely, sinfully scrumptious!!! All in all a great evening out, and Steven did a great job hosting the meal and taking care of the table!
While the food was ok even though me and my wife cooked it (So it's kinda our fault). The appetizer spinach dip was delicious along with the salad. The drinks were delicious I will definetly have to come back for the ying and yang martini. Lastly I would like to review my server I forgot her name please look her up and reward her ( The reservation was at 9:30 last name is jones). She has highest level of professional service I've seen in hospitality in years. The resturuant closed in 20 mins when we got sat and we still received full service with an enthusiastic and high energy work attitude. If we dont come back for food we will definetly come back because of her. She is a star server and again deserves to be rewarded for her services. We will be back!!!
This is our second time at the melting pot and we love it! Definitely pricey, however it is worth it for a special occasion. Our server was AWESOME and made our experience even better!
the service was very slow and sporadic. This was the first time we had been seated in front of the bar. long breaks in food delivery and seeing our waiter. i am not sure if it was where we were sitting or that it was a Sunday night. Food quality was good.
We like going to the Melting Pot for special occasions. It was a bit noisy this time because of a large party. Also, they have started a Grill cooking option but do not have the ventilation system set up to take care of all the smoke. Regardless, we will return again as we enjoy the unique menu and options.
We had a large gathering for my daughter's 22nd Birthday. My daughter invited guests that I had not RSVP'd for. The staff was gracious enough to allow us to use a table that had been reserved for another party. Our host Stephanie was AMAZING, patient, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful.
Thank you for making my daughter's party a memorable occasion.
Great customer service and good food. Definitely we will be back.
Too expensive for mediocre food. The cheese fondue was not good, the fruit to dip in chocolate fondue was not fresh. The meats were good though but for the price I expected top quality.
I've gone twice to the Melting Pot over the last couple of months. I wouldn't recommend going on Valentine's Day because it's almost twice as expensive and the options are so limited. I would suggest going on a non holiday. The kids loved it and their are many more options for everyone to choose from. It was fun and delicious!
Excellent value for date night. Excellent courteous and friendly service. Everything was delicious as usual. We only wish the melting pot would offer all you can eat cheese, so you can try a variety of different cheeses.
I took my two sons (ages 8 & 13) there for an early Valentines date and they absolutely loved it. Our server was incredible making their first experience there to be a lot of fun (so bummed I forget his name!).
First experience with Fondue restaurant, enjoyed myself!
It was my granddaughters first time with fondue. We loved it.
Great night out of Galentine’s Day!
Service was extremely slow, drinks were hardly ever refilled and too long to clear stuff and receive each corse.
We had a party of 11 to celebrate the birthdays of my son and daughter. Our server Mike was friendly and knowledgeable, and he was great with everyone. The food was excellent, and I would highly recommend the Melting Pot for any special occasion.
Food as always was excellent. Service was not good. Our server was not very present and forgot we were there. He appeared to be much more interested in the table of girls that he was also waiting on. Took forever for our crazy requests - like a fork or a soda.
