The Melting Pot - Arlington VA Ratings and Reviews
When we arrived at 8:45 for a 9:15 reservation they said "No problem! Give us 1-3 minutes to get a table set up!" They did not seat us until 9:10. It wasn't crowded and seemed like they forgot about us. Very annoying. Our server was fantastic and the food was delicious. I brought my 8 year old daughter and her bff for dessert at the end of a girls night. They thought it was fantastic!!
Another home run at the Melting Pot. We had the Wisconsin Cheddar fondue, house salads, and "pick three" for the main course with oil- Teriyaki steak, Sesame crusted Ahi Tuna, and Honey Duck for me; teriyaki steak, shrimp, and chicken for my wife. The star, as usual, are the fried mushrooms - we fill mushroom caps with green goddess, batter them, and fry them in the fondue pot. The rest of the food was great, too, though neither of us care for the broccoli or sweet potatoes.
On this visit, the service was great. The manager stopped by to check on things , and other passing staff helped out, but the waiter was on top of everything.
Fondues are good but A/C sorely lacking. With a steaming fondue pot on every table in the restaurant, the temperature climbs quickly. You would think the restaurant would crank up the A/C a bit, but no, I was too hot the entire time. Great service from Destiny.
Lovin' the fondue! Took the family out to celebrate a special occasion, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed - the vegetarian, the picky-eater kid, and the fondue skeptic included. Service was great, food was fresh, and the fondue choices were out of this world! Would recommend and return in a heartbeat.
This was our first time at the melting pot and we truly enjoyed every bit of our experience. The food was great and we had the "build your own" entree. Only thing i didn't like was that I only received 2 scallops. If you're a pescatarian like i am, I would suggest the salmon.
The food is great here - if you enjoy cooking your own! Which we do and we celebrated our engagement anniversary here. I've been here several times so I knew that the decor was outdated and the ambiance was just OKAY, but it's so fun and the fondue is great! I really wish the owners would update the decor and make it better.
I had never been to a fondue restaurant before this one. It was excellent. I got a great deal from Groupon and would definitely go again. The waiter patiently explained everything to myself and my fiancee. The cheese was excellent, along with all the different foods that were brought to be dipped in either the cheese or the broth. The sauces provided with the entrees created a very delicious complexity of flavor that I enjoyed. Place is a little pricey, but not sure if that's just how it is for fondue places or not, either way, I'd like to eat here again, and I'm sure my fiancee would too.
