Great food. Wonderful place for a team meal. Loved the food options
Worst chicken club I’ve ever had. Two pieces of bacon thrown on top of 1/4 chicken breast with a sad slice of tomato, shredded lettuce and some dressing- all in a burger bun! How is that a club sandwich? Fries over cooked and tasted like oil has not been changed in days. Will not return.
The corn risotto was excellent and very flavorful.
Excellent food and great drinks!
We will go back.
Dinner before show. Traffic light due to early hour. Seating indoors and out. Sat indoors with family. Bar and wall TVs inside. Various items on menu. Fried chicken sandwich was flavorful and juicy. Also very big. Burger was ok. Summer goddess salad ok as well. They were out of the sticky ribs early evening on Saturday. Only 4 options for dessert and not very exciting. Service was good. Nothing to bring me back there. Ok fare.
The food was great. The service was decent. But they sat everyone right on top of each other. If you want to have a conversation it is almost impossible to not be overheard, or to hear everything the table next to you is saying. My husband and I were on an anniversary date and felt very uncomfortable having a conversation. It was an awkward setup, especially when there were so many open tables in the restaurant that weren't all on top of each other.
I love this place, definitely recommend. Good food, good atmosphere, great location. The menu changes seasonally too so it doesn't get boring.
The best thing The Marq has going for it is location. Always buzzing for lunch it is less crowded for dinner. This might change if the food was better. Right now it’s ok but not great and the service matches the not inspiring food. If you are on your way to Hamilton it’s close and has good choices for younger audience members.
Went here based on reviews and was pleased beyond words. Salmon Ceviche was best ever, we also had the Corn Risotto with Chicken, and had the Salmon dinner.
Dishes, drinks and service were a “10”.....
Our group of 8 went at the peak lunch hour. Service was prompt and our requests accommodated quickly.
Always great service and the food is amazing. I would highly recommend.
I tried to make a noon reservation and they would only take 11:15 but the place was not full until well after noon - which aggravated me. THEN when we arrived the hostess asked how long we were staying which I thought was very rude. I will not be coming back
We had a great meal but the person who we were celebrating had their food messed up and they ended up not eating anything besides the appetizers. Everyone else’s food was great and the server was fantastic.
Good food, very noisy.
Just too noisy for a business lunch.
Food was good for the loop at lunch. Very loud in there where I felt I had to shout the entire meal.
Nice place for a business lunch. Attentive service, quality food, reasonable value.
Loved our meal here, enough to take a flyer on dessert, which turned out to be the only disappointment of the meal. Fried chicken sandwich, Caesar salad, Brussels sprouts, and lomo saltado were all delicious. Service was very good as well. Pleasant find.
We ordered chick
en salads and it they appeared to serve us canned chicken. Not a good idea.
Food was excellent but had to wait 1.5 hours for a burger
Really enjoyed everything!
We were at the Marc to celebrate a birthday, and for a pre-show dinner since we were attending a play a block away. It took us awhile to be seated and have our orders taken, so despite our reservation we were quite rushed and could not finish dinner or have coffee or desert. They brought our birthday boy’s cake as we were running out the door to make the show. So, overall good food but poor service at a restaurant within the theatre district when the waitress was aware of our show start time.
The Marq is always so great! Service was a bit slow but I imagine it was because it was a nice day out in Chicago. My hamburger unfortunately was a bit salty. Appetizer was good which was the chicken and bacon bits with a great dip! Great ambience and they did apologize for the delay. Try their whipped ricotta!
Chicken sandwich looked great. I had Greek salad with salmon. It’s expensive and the salmon was not charred enough. Salad has kale and needs to be chopped smaller.
The service and food were great
This was a last minute restaurant selection for us in the Loop, where we live, but have not yet thoroughly explored. The 3 of us were able to meet our very different meal preferences - for me the salmon entree was appealing, and good, but not something to die over. The green goddess side salad was very good. My husband chose an appetizer, FRENCH CHICKEN WONTONS, & PAPAS A LA DIABLA side dish, and loved both! My son went with the scallops entree and said it was very good but not outstanding. Service was very good. So, overall I gave The Marq 4 stars. The 3 of us shared the cheesecake, which was large enough to share. It was very good, but not to die for. Wines are pretty pricey. My husband and I had the cheapest red wine, which was the malbec, at $10/glass.
Great restaurant. Service was very good. Food was very good too.
I met a friend for lunch here - neither of us had been there before. We both ordered the salmon cake sandwich, which was good. Service was fine. There was nothing outstanding about the experience, but there was nothing to complain about either. I would dine there again.
Great patio! Staff was super accommodating to our large group and everyone loved their food and cocktails! Would come back!
It was good, but we weren’t wowed. Enjoyed the ambiance of the nicely decorated scene in a beautiful part of town. Service was pretty good, food was tasty but while it was perfectly satisfactory overall, we weren’t wowed.
Always very good food and service. A great pre-theatre or pre-symphony place for a really good but light dinner.
Dinner before Hamilton
The poutine was good, but nothing special.
The burger was very good, everything you could hope for in a juicy flavorful sandwich.
Portions are huge, would share in future.
Service was terrific, thanks Laura and Lauren!
Visited the Marq for a friend's birthday. At the time of the reservation through OpenTable, I mentioned that. Our waitress brought us a nice sized piece of Turtle Cheesecake with a candle and three forks which was nice enough but then we weren't charged for it! Everything was great but the service was outstanding.
Nice bar area. As expected, full at lunchtime on Friday. Glad I made a reservation. First time ordering falafel here. Serving size was good, had good flavor, but were a little dry.
We got there a little before our reservation and snagged an outdoor table on one of the first warm, sunny days in Chicago. Yay! Service was excellent. My salad was ok, not special, the grilled salmon on it was delicious. However my guests “Greek” salad was very, very sparse on any ingredient except lettuce and onions.
Shannon was great and food excellent. Wonderful complimentary dessert for our anniversary!! Perfect pre theater lunch
I came here for lunch with a friend, and have to say that their fried chicken sandwich is to LIVE for!
Good for after work.
