The Ladbroke Arms
A great pub restaurant with excellent food and atmosphere. One of our family favourites and great to have as a local
Food was, as expected, a highlight. Good selection of wines by the glass for parents with kids. Service was relaxed - some would say on the slow side but is that really a problem on a lazy Sunday ? No. Issue with the card machine when paying but discussed and resolved quite easily. Lovely atmosphere - on arrival there was a cat mulling about and many people brought a dog. Kids loved doing having the animals around. A wide variety of customers - some for a drink and a session with a book or the Sunday papers others for lunch. All were looked after.
My favourite hangout in Notting Hill delicious fresh food (not pub food) lovely terrace.
Not great for parties larger than 4 people. Got squeezed in a corridor and were left 45min waiting for waiter to take our order
I had the lamb rump roast and it was too fatty for me. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding was a little dry, possibly because we came just before they finished serving.
Overall nice staff and pleasant ambience.
We had a wonderful early dinner the evening before returning to the US. The pub is tucked away in a pretty area of Notting Hill but easy to find from the Notting Hill Gate tube station (about 10 min walk). Fish and chips were great, as was the macaroni and cheese skillets. Beer was cold too! Best part was the service - our waiter (didn’t get his name, but young blond guy that told us a funny story about drinking Bud Light - we assured him we have better beers in the US!) was excellent. Super attentive and helpful and just a pleasure.
Love the Ladbroke. Roasts are well done and the starters are always amazing!
A nice pub, great location, food scrumptious. We had Sunday roast, especially the lamb was delicious
We had amazing food and great service. The place can be a bit loud ( as most pubs are), so it was difficult to talk at times. But overall our experience was excellent and we will definitely be back.
Sunday roast is delicious but it’s expensive at £24 per plate. Not denying the quality however, but with wine a roast for 4 with pud was £160 😅
Great pub with great ambiance in a great area. Food was excellent and so was the service!
It was an unexpectedly wet and windy summers day so it was rather quiet. However, staff were friendly and welcoming. Nice food freshly prepared and a good wine list with plenty at reasonable prices. Would go again hopefully on a sunny day.
Best experience as a customer I've had for a long time. We were a group of 7 with a baby and we felt like we were the only customers in the restaurant !! The staff was so Kind and made our lunch so nice while most restaurants make you regret having kids.... The food was outstanding and the bar is matching the quality of the food both in terms of variaty and quality....
Lovely evening and great food
Lovely pub and great beer and wine. Food choice good and enjoyable cuisine. Can get loud in the restaurant in the evening. Service with a smile
There were some very disgruntled tables around us complaining they had been waiting for too long for their food, which made the outside area quite awkward. Behind us there was a woman breastfeeding and then lots of children etc. It was quite hectic outside and we had to go into the bar to order our food and drinks as table service was slow. They felt understaffed. The food however was excellent. Delicious bhaji and great salmon / crab.
The atmosphere and service was great. The roast however wasn't as good as I was expecting from other reviews I had read, the meat was cold, the gravy was watery and the potatoes were overcooked and hard to eat.
Amazingly friendly and delicious neighbourhood pub with delightful al fresco dining. Inventive cuisine and fresh ingredients, good simple wine list. My favourite hangout.
Food is so overpriced. Sunday roast was the smallest I have ever had. Literally a spoon of peas a strand of cabbage. A small piece of meat and a small Yorkshire pudding with 2 carrots. £22 for that was not good value at all. I would expect double the meat Portion and a lot more vegetables.
Service to be improved. Not a single smile. Forgot to bring an order and added it to the bill.
Did not listen to my ice cream flavour request.
The service received does not justify the premium price you are charging.
I used to be a regular at the Ladbroke Arms but haven't been for a few years. It was great to come back and see the ambience and service were exceptional... low key but very efficient. Also the food was delicious. I'll be back.
What a wonderful spot. This charming gastropub is on a quiet street in Nottinghill. There is a great locals vibe at the outside tables and inside you'll find great "upgraded" classic British pub food.
The setting was lovely with or reservation for 5 people already marked out on our table. We asked for tap water as soon as we sat down but had to remind the staff twice before it arrived. We went for the Bank Holiday roast. The potatoes were hard and the Yorkshire puddings were also hard and in some cases burnt. The sirloin was excellent, the chicken okay but pork was dry and too salty.
The food was terrible. The belly pork was extremely dry and chewy. A real shame.
Lovely setting. We all had the Sunday roast lunch -- the lamb and pork belly were very nice, the beef was hugely overcooked, and the chicken was dry. The service was friendly and welcoming but a bit overwhelmed at times -- probably because there was a very large party there at the same time.
Really relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Amazing food and excellent for all types of meet ups. Baby friendly and no table 2 hour turnaround rush
Excellent food and friendly staff. Great pub as well.
Service and attentitivness exemlery great place for 2 ladies to lunch no pressure
As always - a fantastic evening in the Ladbroke Arms. Wonderful food with decent portions and beautiful presentation. My favorite pub to take a client too!
A friendly and relaxed dinner with my daughter - nice slightly rustic wooden tables and good attentive service. The only issue was the lack of Gluten Free options (she is celiac) and the only real choice for main courses was the steak (which was good but even the chips could not be guaranteed to be gluten free). These days it is expected for restaurants to make a bit more of an effort so it was a pity as everything else was really lovely.
Very consistent service and quality. I really enjoy coming here with my dogs and especially the great food.
Keep up the great work! : )
Outstanding food!!!!! Server was miserable & quite rude
Best gastro pub in the area. Never fails to impress with the quality of the food. Fish especially good, everything tasty. Beer generally lovely and well kept and the staff friendly and very helpful. Even my wife liked it which is praise indeed!
Service was abrupt and food was just mediocre. Better food and service at the pub across the street. The only reason I booked this is because I’ve had good food and good service in the past. I wanted some new friends recently moved to the neighbourhood to maybe find a new local. I was sorely mistaken.
I was attracted to the dish to see how they handled razor clams .I was disappointed
Always one of my favorite places in London for a casual, solid meal. Fair prices. Excellent food. Always interesting (and, again, reasonably-priced) wine list.
Love this place. You can always count on having a good time, friendly pub atmosphere and amazing food.
Highly recommendable! Great food. Fantastic atmosphere!
Fabulous atmosphere! Great service! Delicious food!
As always a great place and great food. A tad disappointed this time however, regarding the noise levels. The combination of a very noisy group of chaps combined with the staff that at times being even louder than the guests was slightly irritating. Feel a bit mean writing this as it is such a great place with a great atmosphere and the staff are actually very lovely :)! Sorry!
