The Ladbroke Arms
Lovely pub and great beer and wine. Food choice good and enjoyable cuisine. Can get loud in the restaurant in the evening. Service with a smile
There were some very disgruntled tables around us complaining they had been waiting for too long for their food, which made the outside area quite awkward. Behind us there was a woman breastfeeding and then lots of children etc. It was quite hectic outside and we had to go into the bar to order our food and drinks as table service was slow. They felt understaffed. The food however was excellent. Delicious bhaji and great salmon / crab.
The atmosphere and service was great. The roast however wasn't as good as I was expecting from other reviews I had read, the meat was cold, the gravy was watery and the potatoes were overcooked and hard to eat.
Amazingly friendly and delicious neighbourhood pub with delightful al fresco dining. Inventive cuisine and fresh ingredients, good simple wine list. My favourite hangout.
Food is so overpriced. Sunday roast was the smallest I have ever had. Literally a spoon of peas a strand of cabbage. A small piece of meat and a small Yorkshire pudding with 2 carrots. £22 for that was not good value at all. I would expect double the meat Portion and a lot more vegetables.
Service to be improved. Not a single smile. Forgot to bring an order and added it to the bill.
Did not listen to my ice cream flavour request.
The service received does not justify the premium price you are charging.
I used to be a regular at the Ladbroke Arms but haven't been for a few years. It was great to come back and see the ambience and service were exceptional... low key but very efficient. Also the food was delicious. I'll be back.
What a wonderful spot. This charming gastropub is on a quiet street in Nottinghill. There is a great locals vibe at the outside tables and inside you'll find great "upgraded" classic British pub food.
The setting was lovely with or reservation for 5 people already marked out on our table. We asked for tap water as soon as we sat down but had to remind the staff twice before it arrived. We went for the Bank Holiday roast. The potatoes were hard and the Yorkshire puddings were also hard and in some cases burnt. The sirloin was excellent, the chicken okay but pork was dry and too salty.
The food was terrible. The belly pork was extremely dry and chewy. A real shame.
Lovely setting. We all had the Sunday roast lunch -- the lamb and pork belly were very nice, the beef was hugely overcooked, and the chicken was dry. The service was friendly and welcoming but a bit overwhelmed at times -- probably because there was a very large party there at the same time.
Really relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Amazing food and excellent for all types of meet ups. Baby friendly and no table 2 hour turnaround rush
Excellent food and friendly staff. Great pub as well.
Service and attentitivness exemlery great place for 2 ladies to lunch no pressure
As always - a fantastic evening in the Ladbroke Arms. Wonderful food with decent portions and beautiful presentation. My favorite pub to take a client too!
A friendly and relaxed dinner with my daughter - nice slightly rustic wooden tables and good attentive service. The only issue was the lack of Gluten Free options (she is celiac) and the only real choice for main courses was the steak (which was good but even the chips could not be guaranteed to be gluten free). These days it is expected for restaurants to make a bit more of an effort so it was a pity as everything else was really lovely.
Very consistent service and quality. I really enjoy coming here with my dogs and especially the great food.
Keep up the great work! : )
Outstanding food!!!!! Server was miserable & quite rude
Best gastro pub in the area. Never fails to impress with the quality of the food. Fish especially good, everything tasty. Beer generally lovely and well kept and the staff friendly and very helpful. Even my wife liked it which is praise indeed!
Service was abrupt and food was just mediocre. Better food and service at the pub across the street. The only reason I booked this is because I’ve had good food and good service in the past. I wanted some new friends recently moved to the neighbourhood to maybe find a new local. I was sorely mistaken.
I was attracted to the dish to see how they handled razor clams .I was disappointed
Love this place. You can always count on having a good time, friendly pub atmosphere and amazing food.
Highly recommendable! Great food. Fantastic atmosphere!
Fabulous atmosphere! Great service! Delicious food!
As always a great place and great food. A tad disappointed this time however, regarding the noise levels. The combination of a very noisy group of chaps combined with the staff that at times being even louder than the guests was slightly irritating. Feel a bit mean writing this as it is such a great place with a great atmosphere and the staff are actually very lovely :)! Sorry!
Normally I say best Sunday lunch in London. Sadly that’s changed all the really nice vegetables on the side and beautiful presentation seems to have been removed
The ambiance is great, I’d rather be there for drinks than dinner. Vegetarian food was actually very good, the steak and lamb ‘breast’ very disappointing. Value for money on food was silly.
It's a neighbourhood gem that we cherish. They serve delicious pub food in a cosy and charming atmosphere. It's a great place for lunch or dinner.
Great service. Listened to the questions and requests I had. Happily accommodated for a gluten free meal. Love this place.
Great neighborhood pub, good food, and ambiance as usual.
Beautiful pub with lots of character. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. One of the best roasts I’ve had in London. Shame there was no sticky toffee pudding that day but probably for the best (and my waistline!).
Awful experience. I called to warn that I would be late and the woman on the phone told me that it was not a problem. I arrived at the restaurant, no one said hi, everybody ignored us, i thought i was a ghost then finally the waiter tells me : you’re late ! Not the best welcome ...
Then we are sat at our table, I ask questions about the menu: what is bread butter pudding ? The waitress answers “it’s like the dessert” but I had no idea what the dessert was, the same happened for “cavalo Nero” , I ask “what is cavalo nero?” And the waitress answers “its cavalo” and then rolled her eyes. So we walked off.
Great atmosphere always, lively but respectful crowd. Menu always has an interesting and easy selection. Stay are always accommodating and friendly. Only problem is that the back area of restaurant is not cut off from the bathroom smells, and this is pretty rank when you are eating. Unless there was a major refurb, it is hard to know what they could do.
Love this place... and what’s more our little dachshund was welcome too! Dogs are allowed in the front bar / restaurant... which is so nice.
Very disappointing evening. Ambience very poor, loud, cramped table at the back, and expensive but average food.
Very good food in a noisy slightly frenetic ambience. Tables packed close and lots of cheerful drinkers keeps calm away.
Staff is great- they made an effort with New Year’s Eve tasteful decor - it is an upscale pub experience and staff is courteous and always keen to help. Food is as always very good
New Year’s Eve
The food was amazing and the service fantastic. It was one of the loveliest meals we’ve had in a very long time indeed!
We had a fabulous long lunch, impressive food, great Table, attentive lovely staff. Thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you!
