Really disappointed that the restaurant didn’t acknowledge my son’s birthday. It wasn’t busy and usually they give you a small cake with a candle in. I had put this in the notes.

One of the best restaurants in Covent Garden. Near all the good shops and so near to Royal Opera House.
The staff are always so efficient and friendly

Lovely venue, kept a bit too dark for my taste.
Fantastic food, the blackened cod is always a success and the Xmas Nutcracker dessert is awesome, flavours, textures, exceptional!

The Cottage Pie has been a favorite of mine for years, however, fm this satellite of The Ivy it was tired and looked to have been under the heat lamps too long. Sad to say the standard and, to me, brand value of The Ivy is more like Jamie’s Italian that the friend I once treasured.

Try the original over these “Grill” venues.

We opted for the set menu. Portions were generous and very tasty. Service was excellent and we didn’t feel rushed. As there as so many places to eat it’s really good to find a good one, so thank you.

We visited the ivy for a birthday afternoon tea. The quality and choice of the selection was extremely good, and a very good value for money. Would recommend and happily return.

Arrived a little early... but receptionist said we could be seated but was taken to a small table positioned between two ever opening doors! We asked to be repositioned as it was noisy and very cold draughty and initially we were made to feel awkward for asking. We were so uncomfortable that we would have left but the manager eventually took control and found us another small table in a much better area of the restaurant. Waitress arrived and looked very harassed and tired but did her best to serve us. Food was ‘nice’ ... nothing special... great atmosphere though. Great spot in Covent Garden. I do think it was a very cold night and Xmas-time maybe not the best time to visit to get the best experience. Unfortunately I can only say it was average! My expectations were not met sadly!

We were placed on a very draughty table near to the front door and although we moved a couple of tables down it was still uncomfortable when the main door opened . The people on the next table were equally uncomfortable and they moved too after making a big protest. It’s a shame that that row of tables mean a less than good experience for diners. These tables ought not to be used during really cold weather. You don’t expect to pay top dollar for food and be cold!!

Excellent service and very good value . A little noisy as we were next to the bar but added to the atmosphere really. Sweet potato curry was excellent as was the frozen berries pudding,

I had to send my food back twice for being cold. I had to order a third meal in the end and I didn’t receive any complimentary discounts on my final bill. I was unable to eat with my family due to the constant disruption of returning then waiting for food. Really poor.

We were disappointed. I requested a table upstairs by the window as I have sat there previously. We were first shown to a table down stairs by a till at the back. When I pointed out my request we were moved to the table I wanted. My food was just warm but the side chips were very hot. I then had to wait for my food which took longer than expected. I did not find the staff in control. I won't be rushing back.

We were running late as our taxi was stuck in traffic so rang through and explained and nothing was too much trouble. So nice to speak to someone on the phone and not a machine.

The restaurant was beautiful, lovely ambience and great Christmas decorations, food was superb our only disappointment was our waiter, he was fairly dismissive and at the point we paid the bill was rude and petulant. As a service charge was included in the bill we didn’t add a tip and wondered if that was why he was offhand. We will defiantly come again and hope our waiter is in a better mood next time.

The food overall was very good, I loved the mushroom starter and my husband had never eaten a rum baba like it for his dessert. The staff were faultless, even though the restaurant was extremely busy, this meant it was quite noisy. The midas cocktail was beautiful. The meal overall was good value for money £130 for three course meals and all drinks and coffees. I would definitely visit again next time I'm in London.

Food was amazing as usual, the lighting was a little dim for early evening. Lovely doorman hailed our taxi. Perfect way to end a trip to see & Juliet at the theatre

Visited the Ivy Market Grill on a Saturday late afternoon for a pre theatre meal. Service was fast and efficient and the food was of a high standard. We had booked which appeared to be essential as they seemed to be very busy. Only gripe would be we were seated at a table right next to the bar which was a busy thoroughfare. Having pre booked well in advance it would have made the visit a more pleasurable experience if we had a table in the seating area away from the bar.

Good food but very busy. Tried to crane too many people in. Booked table but was sat by the kitchen entrance downstairs . Meal came before drinks. Meal felt rushed. It was a birthday meal bit disappointed.

Possibly the most boring burger I've ever experienced. Absolutely nothing in the bun except the patty. A single lettuce leaf, a couple of slices of gerkin and a small tub of ketchup on the side. So disappointing.

Fabulous location and I would think about an outdoor seat. Food was usual standard for The Ivy but staff and service very poor. Staff were abrupt, removed things from table without asking and spilt water over table when pouring into glasses. Directed to disabled toilet which was locked. Needless to say did not leave a tip.

There was a flood in the ladies toilet - yuck!

We were seated close to the second door which was used continuously to serve the tables outside and this means we were annoyed by a constant cold air. The food which I usually enjoy was not as good as expected, one dish was with too much oil. The service was not up to standard.

The atmosphere is great, the food is good and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately our table was near the door and there were so many people coming in and out that often the door was held open blowing an icy blast onto us which was very uncomfortable. They definitely need to sort out the entrance and booking in area.
