Ivy Cafe - Marylebone
Étiquettes principales:
Been to Ivy Cafe many times and always very, very good. Service, food, atmosphere and value all good.
Really nice place. Nice welcome and we had excellent service. The bill was less than I thought!
Good food. Good location. Slightly expensive. The waitress helped to ensure the food choices were appropriate for the intolerances that were noted. Would’ve been useful and more empowering to have a menu that highlighted the allergens in a more obvious way. We are both gluten intolerant and the menu didn’t highlight which dishes we could have, which is unusual for restaurants in London.
The Ivy never fails to deliver. It’s the perfect place for any occasion or just a relaxed breakfast , brunch, dinner - love it !
Food and decor was nice. Service was unfriendly and rushed unfortunately.
Very good food, excellent service in a busy but not overcrowded cafe with a relaxed stylish ambience.
It was my friends birthday. We placed an order but the waiter did not inform us about the last order as they are suppose to inform you before the kitchen closes.
We were all new in the city to know the timings ourself. Hence why service was a bit on lower grade. Also the manager of the resturant thought we paid less whereas it was his computer system was was playing up and he ended up apologizing.
Always consistently very good with polite, attentive staff. Really a Marylebone stalwart!
Awful service, awfully cooked steak. Third time I have been here and had the same problem.
As always a fabulous place to eat and all the staff are so friendly making you feel very special.
Unfortunately not my best experience at The Ivy Marylebone. My meal left me with severe stomach pains for a few hours, indicating something was wrong with the Shepherd’s Pie I was served. I regularly have this meal at The Ivy cafes. It is normally outstandingly good.
It was NYE I suspect the meal at 10pm was not reheated correctly. I have eaten at this restaurant 7 or 8 times without an issue. Ordinarily it is excellent.
C’est la vie!
Lovely restaurant with great food and service
We asked for the service charge to be removed and left the tip for our waitress.
We were told they only receive 1.5% of the tips!
An excellent venue for a special occasion or for a quiet meal. The menu has something to suit all tastes and is beautifully presented. Waiting staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The wine list is excellent too. We have never had a bad experience here and can highly recommend it
Firstly, the owners should be commended for having their regular menu on New Year’s Eve rather than ‘special’ menus at triple the price. They were very busy, and deservedly so.
The food, drink and service were up to their usual (high) standard.
It’s not haute cuisine, but it’s quality bistro food at a fair price point.
We’ll definitely return sooner rather than later
We are regular attendees. As per usual service excellent & food never falls below par. I am a very plain eater & staff most helpful to ensure I’m accommodated.
Excellent venue with superb staff. Very welcoming. Great food. We all enjoyed it
Great food & service
Good restaurant close to the Marylebone Hotel where friends were staying. We had a group of 8 and they were able to seat us without any issues. Comfortable, casual interior with a nice looking bar. We chose to eat here due to the varied menu for different tastes. Food and service were good and we had a pleasant meal.
Thanks for a great dining experience. We’ll be back
As usual, most of the staff were really good and responsive. The maitre d especially warm, friendly and efficient. Reliable menu delivered in a timely fashion; great portions, tasty and decently priced. It’s busy but you can have private conversations without having to shout. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch.
A lively and vibrant atmosphere with first class service. Reserved table was available immediately upon arrival. Service was professional, courteous and efficient. The food was excellent - plenty of choice and when delivered to the table it was well presented and scrumptious to eat! Excellent choice of wines too! All in all, a first class experience - Thank you very much - we'll be back!
We have been before and enjoyed the food and ambiance. The food was slow getting to us initially and we had to chase but after that all was good. A minus point is that the only toilets are downstairs and I have mobility problems.
As always all of the Ivy restaurants are beautiful and have lovely food and service. Cocktails amazing as per usual too for a cheeky tipple at Brunch. Always offers a good variety across the menu and such friendly and attentive staff! If you haven’t been...go! And if you have... visit again!
Was great breakfast
Our server showed little interest in serving us. He didn’t share the daily specials nor did he ask about bread. The food was mediocre and a disappointment. Luckily, we had been there on previous occasions so we would be willing to give the Ivy cafe another go the next time we visit London.
The menu here always presents me with a problem...what to chose! Delicious food, very well presented. Just the right amount of attention from the staff in a buzzy environment. The ambiance is great but it is a little hustle and bustle so not the best choice for a quiet romantic meal but fantastic for everything else. Have been before and plan to return.
A bit shabby to be honest, compared to other Ivys I have visited. Bathrooms in particular.
Service a bit haphazard, eg mains served without cutlery. Some dishes under seasoned and underwhelming.
The place was not completely full but ambience was nice.
Excellent service a delightful waiter, great food and ambiance. Highly recommend Marylebone Ivy cafe.
We did not think the food was good. It was tasteless!
As always, lovely
We have been to the Ivy Cafe on Marylebone Lane many times and it has never failed to please. This occasion was a Christmas Eve dinner with friends, and we all thought the food and service were even better than ever (if at all possible).
Food was usual high standard but service (particularly) and ambience not great ... and it wasn’t even that busy.
The food is not as amazing as is was back in 2018. Service was friendly but also slow and we had to remind them to fill our glass of wine. Nothing terrible but a little disappointing
The service was dreadful, several different servers all equally confused. The cod was dry, spinach swimming in liquid. They did take the coffees off the bill which didn't make up for an indifferent experience - and we usually like the Ivy.
We had a great afternoon with delicious food. I have given 4 stars for food, while the quality is 5 star, I am vegan and dessert choices were sorbet or fruit. I think Ivy Cafe could do better than this and come up with a couple of proper puddings, especially in winter, near Christmas! But I would still recommend it to anyone.
Great food and service - good value for Sunday brunch
It's a friendly place with a cosy atmosphere. The double fried chips are to die for.
I always patronize Ivy's bar--for wine and food. Service is immediate, and totally pleasant. Typically bar staff treat you as though you're the only customer around. Ivy can 'spoil' you with service and delectable cuisine. It's well worth a visit, seated at the bar or otherwise.
Really enjoyed our meal. Food and service were great. Only criticism would be that you should not clear the plates when someone is still eating. Minor niggle as everything else was lovely.
Good, standard fare - we didn’t have a great table but the service was sincere and attentive.
