The Grill on the Alley - Beverly Hills
Steve was our waiter and he was amazing and made the entire experience unforgettable. The food was very good. We will always go back here when we are in Beverly Hills!
Cathy was great - cocktails were great - food was tasty - ambiance was excellent - overall great experience .
So disappointed. Our steaks were under-seasoned and had no flavor. Best not to come here for steaks. Further sides were way too small for the cost.
The best restaurant in the City!!! The food, staff and ambiance are incredible!!!
T!he Grill On The Alley In Beverly Hills, Is Like A Dear Old Friend Where You know Precisely What You Are Going To Get, All Served In A Friendly, Comfortable Environment. Long May The Grill Prosper
I believe that the recent ownership change will result in an even better The Grill on the Alley. Servers and managers seem very positive with the new ownership.
Daughters birthday, food was very good svc was excellent!!
Amazing food, service and a very nice ambiance. My wife and I had a fantastic evening
Patricia was great. We went back two days in a row.
Good food, good service and pleasant ambiance. We would definitely eat here again when in Beverly Hills.
Courteous and knowledgeable servers, amazing steak
Been eating here for over 20 years. Always treated like a special guest and the food is always a cut above the rest. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!
Lovely restaurant. We loved our waiter Steve, he was friendly, awesome & attentive.
My friends' dinners were great. Mine was awful. I was so excited to see Calves' Livers on the menu. But it was like MUSH...not meat. What a disappointment, I couldn't eat it.
I didn't send it back, because I never do that.
But everything else was great. I'd definitely go again, but I surely wouldn't order the Calves' liver!! I'd stick to the fish dishes.
Always good. Never a disappointment. Service is great!
The food wasn't quite up to par on this most recent visit, but regardless this is one of my favorite places in town - old school in atmosphere, service and menu.
As always, the food and service was excellent. Our waiter, Patricia, was very pleasant and the service was the best. Can't wait to return and try another delicious main course.
Wonderful place… At the age of 55 we will some of the youngest people in the place.
Our server was clearly preoccupied with his regulars… I understand this but our first experience says that we would not go back. Not a bad experience by any means but unless you’re a regular I can’t imagine the service being off the chart
Great food reasonably priced. Crowd is definitely a bit older.
We took my brother at his request for his 80th birthday, we’ve been there in the past under the previous ownership. As soon as we walked in I was asked” I hear it’s someone’s birthday, don’t want to ruin the surprise but I need the name”. Surprise, ruined! Waiter took 3 drink orders but not the 4th, my sister-in-law had to wait until our drinks came. We ordered 2 New York strips,1 large filet & 1 special halibut. The New York’s were not up to other steakhouses. The filet was tough and the halibut was dry. When we said the halibut was dry the waitress specifically said she asked them not to overcook it then walked away. No one should have to tell a chef not to overcook fish! We ordered a hot fudge Sunday thinking that couldn’t be bad but it was. Flavorless ice cream and tasteless fudge. The bill was over close $400. We don’t have any problem spending that and we do many times but when the food is sub par it’s a crime.
Our waiter was fabulous. Steve was his name! Thankyou
Loved The Grill on the Alley! Food was delicious and the service was top notch! Will definitely return back!
This place never disappoints. Its been ten years, but just as remarkable as before. Waiters a special beed. Food so good. Ambience especially in a booth, and in rear, just the best. Sail on.
Not as good as its local high end steakhouse competitors.
A little disappointed in the food quality. Presentation was a little off not quite what I remember the cookery the food was decent but it just seemed like it lacked quality or inspiration. Still a great meal but I believe that for the money you can find much better options. Service was very good the maître d’ and the host were exceptional in the server was good as well but again I feel that the food has become extremely dated.
Excellent service, great family atmosphere, food was really really good. Awesome time. Definitely will go back soon.
We are frequent customers of the Grill on the Alley. We generally find that the waiters are quite attentive and that the service is quite good. We were very disappointed with the service at our recent visit. The service provided by our waiter Oscar was not up to The Grill's standards. We ordered a cocktail from him that never came. He never came back to check on us during the meal and we had a difficult time finding someone to refill our water glasses or bring us ketchup. We would return to The Grill only if Oscar was not our waiter.
Terrible service, really disappointing.
Late afternoon lunch. A glass of champagne, great service ,
Great food. Peaceful and relaxing
Our first experience at The Grill. Exceptional experience. We live in the area and had always wanted to go... I should of done this years ago. Bill was great. Our waiter and staff was excellent. Food ... finest. My wife and I will be making this a regular spot on our Dining out. THE FINEST.
Service excellent. Servers worked good together. Food really good. First class place in every way.
What’s not to love about this Beverly Hills staple. I’ll be back!
Wonderful to return to the Grill. Kathy is our server already three times and we enjoy her friendliness and, of course, the food. The oysters, this time, were not great, but the steak tartare, the soft shell crabs and the short ribs, oh, the short ribs. We'll be back! Great cocktails and wine as well. And we love booth 104, our favorite!
Horrible service, food was over cooked, not fresh at all - one of the worst meals I’ve ever had at The Grill
Food was bad, fifty words a a a a a a a a a a a a a aaa a a a a a a
As usual, delicious food, great service and friendly atmosphere. Hector at the front makes you feel so welcome. We feel like it us our home
We go for the John Dory
however this time they were out
We substituted the Dover Sole
and were very pleased
Extremely disappointing that at 7:30 PM they were out of two menu items, one of which (white fish) is part of the regular menu. In fairness, they did “make it right” by honoring the white fish price for a more expensive alternative selection.
That the restaurant is transitioning ownership seemed very obvious
Another great meal at one of our favorite restaurants
Alway dependable, always. Perfect hearty American cuisine.
Always the best!
