Great seafood lobster no clam chowder
Very pricey for what you’re given in quantity. Beautiful ambiance. I’d try the steaks.
The food, meat, fish, was perfectly prepared as per our wishes. Staff great!
Lovely view of the harbor. Good cocktails. Smoked salmon was excellent!
Both food and service was good.
Food and server were excellent. Management left us in the elements when it was cold and raining. Would not move heaters to table. Actually bought sweatshirts next door for our party of 10. Not the management you would expect for this level of restaurant.
A great overall dining experience. The food was top-quality, the service and ambience were top rate. Certainly a "go-to" spot in Newport!
The food and ambiance was fabulous for a romantic dinner outside while watching the sunset. Will be back again!
Super pricey! Delicious food!! Great view!!
Beautful setting, attentive service. Great experience.
Terrific vibe with great views of the harbor. Service and food was terrific.
Excellent food and service. Lively vibe. Wish they would include the vegetable with the entree. Don’t mind the upscale feel and pricing but expect a bit more with the entree. Server was terrific. Drinks generous.
We have been to 41 North over the past few years. It just gets better...It was a 360 degree experience. Every person we interfaced with was friendly and professional. The food was superb. The wine list was user friendly and had a wide range of price points. And they even ordered up a beautiful sunset. Give yourself and your loved ones a treat. Great evening...more than dinner, a real experience.
Steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Service was terrific
The seafood was very fresh. We enjoyed the meal. The location is amazing.
Went here for lunch with my husband and we were very pleased with our experience! The filet was excellent and the lobster roll was great too. Great drinks, great views, we will definitely go back!
Great food, great setting, service needs some prodding but they delivered.
My wife and I came for our anniversary. My special request made through open table was ignored, there was no acknowledgement and nothing special about our table. We were even sat next to a family with small children that were crying loudly. The service was fair. The charcuterie board was ok (Bar and Board down the street was MUCH better). The tuna was chewy. It was overall just a meh experience with a $300+ bill. Hugely disappointing. Won’t be back and can’t recommend.
Service needs work but the filet was delicious
I felt like I was In Miami vs. Newport because of the pulsating music. Our lunch consisted of mainly french fries with our sandwiches. I am sure it’s a great place for 20 year olds.
If you are looking for a place with a Newport vibe choose another place.
Great atmosphere! We ate outside on the deck overlooking the water and could see the boats going by.
The location is great, the atmosphere also great. Some food was great others very basic and not worth the price. The chicken had no taste and was supper expensive
The cheese board was great but so small for the price
Lobster roll was awesome
Burger was also good
The amount of food and quality of food doesn’t match the price at all... way to overpriced. The side we ordered came out 10/15 mins after we got our salmon. Espresso martini for $20 wasn’t even made with espresso... it was coffee flavored vodka... Beautiful decor but that’s about it... will not be returning
The food is prepared well, although the Caesar Salad could have used a bit more Parmesan, lemon, and salt. The Halibut entree was very tasty, but for the price, the sides should be included, not a la carte. We were two people and were required to sit at a high top table near the outdoor bar because the standard height tables are reserved for parties of 3 or more. It was a rainy evening, and even though the dining area was covered and had plastic side walls, it was not comfortable. The value and ambience were not there, although the food was tasty and service was very good.
I couldn’t decide between two stars or three stars- the reason I'm rating this as three stars is because the steak was cooked perfectly and was tasty. The smoked salmon appetizer was fantastic. However, the waiter forgot to bring our drinks (we had to remind him), and after the meal we ordered coffee which we never received despite it being added to the bill (we had the charge removed). Strangely, we'd asked for bread at the table and I saw every other table receive huge baskets of bread, but when I requested some for our table the waiter said "oh there isn't any ready yet it's in the oven I'll bring it when it's done." So later when our entrees arrived I asked again and he said "oh we only receive a certain amount from the bakery and we are all out of it now." Seemed so odd that on a Thursday night at 6pm an expensive restaurant like this would be "out" of bread. The waiter was friendly, but he seemed stressed and very forgetful. They didn't seem short staffed; there were several waitresses milling about the small dining room area. I don't think I would go back here. For the price, not worth it.
Food was very good. Service was very good. View was even better!
I have been here a few times and this time we had a great server. He was pleasant and attentive. When we have been here in the past, all the staff were arrogant and couldn't be bothered with the customer. Very different this time. As usual the food was very good but pricy and the view is great.
Very expensive with moderate portions. Filet mignon was delicious and very tender. Wine and beer very highly priced. Table outside on the water, not extremely fancy for the prices.
Location is very nice, food offer is good but not excellent
the vegetarian meal was absolutely outstanding and plentiful.
the salmon was good and the side order of mushrooms and cipolinis were excellent.
would have liked a later dining time but opentable only offered 5:45 - and the inside tables were mostly unfilled. regardless, service was excellent.
a little pricey, but an excellent meal.
Wonderful 4th of July dinner and drinks!
Get together with friends out of town
Don’t even try. Worst experience I have had for dinner in Newport in decades. Just go to 22 Bowen.
The service was awful which ruined our experience. The restaurant staff spilled my wife’s martini on her and didn’t offer to get her another nor take it off the bill. The food was okay overall but not worth the price point.
We are here for the first time. I was honestly disappointed. I ordered a filet which was very over cooked. I brought it to the attention of waiter and he didn’t offer anything. All he said was I’m sorry. If I’m paying almost 60 dollars for a steak, the chef should know how to cook it correctly. The waiter seemed new and didn’t know what options were even gluten free without going to ask. I definitely think the staff needs better training. Best part of this restaurant was the dessert. I wouldn’t go back here. 22 Bowen’s is a much better streak house for the money with much better service. This is not worth the money we paid.
Nice view but nothing special decor wise in the dinning area of the grill. Bread was stale. Food was tasty but overpriced. Salads were expensive but very plain & boring. My Caesar had one anchovie and the dressing could barely be tasted.
A la carte and sides were expensive- $18.00 for 12 asparagus!
I cannot say one good thing about the experience. The worst service even with 2 managers running around and not even close to full. Dirty plates piled up in front of us. $28 shrimp cocktail and we had to ask for plates, napkins, utensils and they didn’t check our reservation in with Open Table so I received a nasty that I didn’t show up for my reservation. So disappointing as we had visiting guest.
Our experience was awful from beginning to end. It was overpriced and not good quality food or service for that price.
We had an issue with our meal and the server took care of it right away… great service! They also made our anniversary feel very special
Beautiful setting on the water. Dinner overly expensive….and then charged $20 for valet parking. Service slow due to being understaffed.
