The Front Yard
Tabetha our waiter was great so nice and efficient. The food was very nice and looked really good. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming
Great place for brunch, dinner or special occasion. I find myself coming back here time and time again.
Alex (our server) made the experience a delight. The ambiance was outstanding. The food was excellent except for the fig and prosciutto flatbread. The burger ordered at our table was the biggest surprise and best choice. The carrots and cauliflower were also a highlight. This just might be our favorite LA restaurant because of the overall experience.
Delicious & great relaxed setting & service
Food is very good, every dish has rich, balanced taste. Even such a simple thing like flatbrad is cooked on the highest level. Service is excellent, attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to people who loves really good American food.
Pleasant brunch experience. Notified early that AM that breakfast menu ends at 10:30am, and brunch menu doesn’t start until 11am — so, seems there’s a 1/2 hr dead zone. But thankfully able to change our rez to 10am.
We had a great time here for brunch. The staff are so good and the food is very delicious. Great selection and flavorful drinks.
We love it here. We love the mimosas, we love the food, we love it overall
Fun cute spot w nice service and great food- the shrimp hash was ridic good for brunch-!!!
So the food that we order was stake and fried chicken, the stake compare to the price was super small and no dressing at all, the fried chicken was awful, it was so greasy and smelled and taste so bad, but, thanks from the management that he took it out of our bill, i am not worried about money but they could make it better.
Great chef and great menu and venue! We have recommended it since the days of Warren's Blackbird.
The Valentine’s Day menu was amazing. The specials they had tasted great. The 1/2 duck entree was also delicious as always.
The staff went through great efforts to accommodate the dietary needs of our table. We are forever grateful for their service.
Love the front yard always enjoy a great lunch brunch or dinner there
Amazing atmosphere, great bar, excellent acoustic noise mitigation. Shishito peppers were ok but the wedge salad and the shrimp&grits and Pinot Grigio were great! I definitely look forward to going back.
Loved this place. Dinner with friends, we split an order of cheese biscuits, and two of us had an appetizer of divers scallops and shrimp and grits. Each was perfectly prepared. Our friend had the bolognese and said it was delish. We split the Nutella cake.
All together a wonderful experience with lovely service by our waiter and a charming decor.
Love my time there. Happy to be back again.
The menu needs a revamp. Feels like the same menu over and over again.
I love this place. So open and airy. Great food options for everyone. It gets pretty noisy inside, so we just try to make it a point to sit outside.
It's a very nice and cozy place, but I didn't really enjoy the food! The menu didn't have variety, we were told the menu is seasonal ( we didn't know prior going there) and the items in the menu are quite pricey! Oh and the service fee is already included when they bring you the bill. My husband and I ended up spending $110 on food that we didn't get to enjoy.
Service was intolerable. So sorry to bother your as a patron. Food (soup, not gazpacho) was served cold. Staff determined to offer breakfast when we were clearly there for lunch. Restaurant had the audacity to add mandatory, and sneaky, gratuity for party of 2!?! First and last time for me!!
Well .... firstly the deco is pretty rad - late 60s vibe looks cool. Had some drinks & apps at bar which were great (deviled eggs and roasted olives)
We were seated inside which is just OK - feels a bit too much like a diner. I'd opt to be outside as it was much nicer (plenty of heat lamps).
Waitress was super nice but the food was just so-so. Maybe we tried the wrong things; hamachi tartare was ok, pork belly frites were a joke, scallops we're decent.
If there were a "maybe" recommend I'd chose that as other items might be better.
We checked out the breakfast buffet but it was nothing special. Breakfast was good albeit somewhat pricey. Vegetarian options were slim. Overall it was good but we know there are better options in the local area.
Veraga and Rick provided great service. Food was spot on, ambiance excellent. A bit noisy
Breakfast is bad here. Lunch and Dinner is great. I've been here dozens of times. But only once for breakfast...
I love the Front Yard, I have dined there many times but never before for breakfast. Take my advice, avoid breakfast there and you'll likely be happy. Our ala carte breakfast orders lacked flavor and seasoning. Even the Mimosas were less than impressive. Our waitress was a rare sight and hard to find, we had to track her down twice ourselves several times. They still added the 15% tip to our check so I guess she didn't have to try. Lunch and dinner has never been like this here. I've dined here 25+ times in the past.
For such a highly reviewed restaurant, you would think the service would be much better. The server seemed annoyed when we asked questions about an allergy. The food would have been better if we didn’t have to ask support staff for refills. Very disappointed
The food was incredible and we had a really good waitress. My only complaint is with the hostesses. They took forever to seat us despite the fact that we had a reservation.
Was a really enjoyable experience. The service was awesome. The food was AMAZING and a great selection. The bottomless mimosas was awesome. We really enjoyed our tune here.
Loved the decor, the different seating options. This is great for a date night, catching up with friends or a large group celebration! The ambiance was nice and the food was great! Definitely coming back!
My fried chicken was tasteless and soaked in grease and overpriced. At the price point, I expected a lot more. The space is beautiful and a great place to drink some wine.
This is now the 2nd time I've been to The FY, and I have been regularly, that you have been out of major items. The first time, it was Shrimp dish I'd been wanting to try, this pat weekend, it was two drinks on the drink menu. Really bad planning folks, bad management. Making trips here disappointing
Excellent lunch spot, friendly and efficient service and those fries are very yummy!
Came for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. My party had a reservation and we were seated a little before our time even though it was busy. Things were going well until the restaurant computers shut down and the kitchen got backed up. We waited about an hour for our entrees. When the bill finally came, they comped our appetizer for the long wait. But then there was an issue with the card reader. That took another 30min for them to figure out. The food was decent, the drinks are great, the setting is cute, and the staff was friendly. I’d eat there again, but it won’t be for a long while. Still traumatized from all the waiting on this last visit
All 3 of our meals came out at separate times, mine not until my friend was already done eating. Once my order did arrive, it was also cooked incorrectly, so had to wait again for it to be corrected.
For an early morning visit, with the restaurant not busy and plenty of staff on hand, it was disappointing.
Great place for a cute dinner date or fun girls night out. Food was beyond delicious. The cocktails were great too. The server was excellent as well. Overall, had a fabulous experience and highly recommend this place.
It's not great. They still use plastic straws, a year after the ban. That's just anti social. Just do your part in society. Place looks nice. We were greeted at our table by 4 different people in total until the final server was assigned to us, so seems like the organization can be improved. Had to ask for the vegetarian menu, as if that's an aberration. We were a party of 2, but a 15% gratuity was automatically added, which seems odd to me. All in all, food and interior design of restaurant is good, but the rest is a bit off, so I won't return here.
The hosts were nice. The food was just alright. The service wasn’t that great. The server seemed resistant to accommodate my food allergy at first and tried to suggest I do the buffet before I could finish explaining to her what I wanted. My request wasn’t outlandish and I was willing to pay the up charge but She still resisted at first which I didn’t appreciate and thought was a bit rude. I had to ask and subsequently wait some time for simple things like water and ketchup. The omelette was subpar with nothing in it besides cheese, protein and avocado on top. It was just overall a very below average restaurant.
