The Capital Grille - Seattle
It was a great evening when walking into Cap Grill no reservation didn’t work! Thank heavens for OPEN TABLE you got us right in!
Matthew our server was phenomenal. Very attentive and patient and he exceeded our expectations. He made our experience at the Capital Grille very delightful.
Best service. Food was amazing. Will be back
Took my wife for dinner and a musical. Decided to try Capital Grille since we had never been. Food was very good as was the service. It was a little loud but overall a great experience. The price was a bit extravagant but I knew that going in. I do recommend The Capital Grille, especially if you’re going to the 5th Ave. Theater or Benaroya Hall for a performance. It’s an easy walk to either places from the restaurant.
Matthew, our waiter, and the staff were notified in advanced of my wife’s surprise birthday celebration with our son & his wife unexpected attendance. It was executed splendidly. The food & wine were superbly presented and delicious. One memory to add under our belts!😂
We had a wonderful experience. I took my assistant for her birthday and we were greeted with champagne. Our service was excellent and the food incredible. I had the filet mignon with-a peppercorn sauce. Delicious! Would definitely dine there again.
Steaks are BEYOND mouth watering!!!
Made reservations on Open Table for Father’s Day for our family of 5. Modified the reservation (or so I thought) to include our good friends and their 2 kids. Not sure where the ball got dropped but when I asked my husband to confirm our reservations the day of he was told they did not have the new party of 9 and could not accommodate our extended party. So, our friends made other arrangements elsewhere. Both families are regulars at Cap Grille so was a little surprised they couldn’t accommodate. I have a feeling the ball was dropped on the Open table end.Dinner as always was yummy and our server Carlos was very good. The price is always a killer but we still keep going back. 🤷🏽♀️
Per usual, a great meal at The Capital Grille this past weekend. The steak was perfect, the wine selection was wonderful and the asparagus was delightful. One issue that I would not like to repeat. We had early reservations, but were seated in possibly the worst location in the restaurant. Something akin to a cloak closet.
Our sons graduation celebration.
It is our favorite restaurant in Seattle!
Food is of the highest quality!
Service is perfection.
We were celebrating a big milestone - really great time.
excellent!!!!!! service food ambiance atmosphere... evrrything
Delicious food and great service!
The food was extremely delicious and service was awesome. It seems to have gotten even better than the last time I was there which was over 7 years ago. Will definitely come back again.
The food quality of the Capital Grill has gone done considerably in the last couple of months. I don’t know if there has been a change in kitchen staff or management, but it is no longer the enjoyable high-end experience it once was. Was deserved stale bread with hard butter, and my medium rare steak was so raw you could practically hear it moo. I used to recommend this place, but it is difficult to do after several consistently poor experiences.
The Seattle Capital Grille is always fantastic as is the excellent service that our waiter Matthew, always provides.
I have been going to the Capital Grille for years for birthdays or just because - I have never had a bad meal or experience, I highly recommend it.
Christoper was an ultimate professional, extremely helpful.
Steak was over cooked and not seasoned enough. Butter and horseradish were cold/frozen
We have eaten at the Capital Grille on numerous occasions and each and every time the food and service has been excellent. The bone-in Wagu New York, Veal Chop and Sea bass were awesome along with the side dishes of mushrooms and asparagus. Our waiter was Rod who has served us on multiple occasions and is a fantastic server. It was our grandson's 4th birthday and they gave him both a flowerless chocolate cake and cheesecake dessert with Happy Birthday written on the plate. After eating the flowerless chocolate cake his only comment was "WOW" so how telling was that.
Very good, with the exception of the noise level. Difficult to hear each other. Chris did a good job.
The Capital Grill is a very nice restaurant with great ambiance as well as great service. However, for the particular food we ordered (with the exception of the Crab/Lobster Cake appetizer), it was sub par for this level of eatery. I had the rack of lamb. It was nice but not mouth watering as you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. It was also not evenly cooked and really didn't have great flavor. My wife's dish was even more disappointing. She had the Sea Bass and it was pretty tasteless, no nice crusty outside and somewhat oily.
In closing, we were visiting Seattle and were looking for an excellent dining experience but unfortunately it was less than stellar so we were disappointed.
Great food and amazing service! They made my birthday night so special!
Nice restaurant. I was anticipating the food was going to be worth the price, I was slightly disappointed. Will not be returning.
Over priced! The service was great and restaurant was nice, and I would not mind paying high end for a great steak and wine dinner, but the food was just OK.
The food and service was excellent. I will differently be going back to eat there again. The cheesecake was so delicious.
We were in Seattle for a couple of nights and had dinner at The Capital Grille. Food and service were both amazing.
My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary meal at The Capital Grille. Our waiter, Rod, was exceptional and all staff were gracious and helpful. A card, table scatter, champagne, and dessert were all provided as part of our celebration. Food and wine were excellent. I have a severe food allergy and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. Expensive but well worth it.
After having been here before myself, I took my parents here to celebrate an 80th birthday. My parents have traveled the world and so while they appreciate an excellent meal -as we had- they were really impressed with our server (I believe Rod) and the experience all the support staff provided us. From the birthday wishes waiting for us on the table to the manager checking in with us to our server’s humor, it was obvious everyone there enjoyed what they do and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meal. And that we did...immensely..
I don’t mean to skip over the food. It was truly delicious and so well prepared. We had filet mignon and copper river salmon and I don’t think we’ve had better.
If you are someone who enjoys eating for the experience as much as the food, The Capitol Grille strikes the right balance of excellent food and genuinely customer-focused service. (And no I don’t work for them. I’m just a super satisfied diner who appreciates great service and a good steak).
We celebrated my husbands birthday and they went above and beyond to acknowledge it !
Our waiter John was outstanding and had climbed Mt Rainer and my brother and husband had just come back from doing that. He was very kind to us!!
Steak was poorly cooked-some of my steak was rare and some was well done-didn't know what to expect from one bite to the next. Service was great until we were told they could not accept our credit card because it did not have a chip in it. We have never experienced this before and they were unwilling to make it work before we had to switch cards with another bank we have that does have a chip. I am unsure as to what they would have done if we did not have another card with a chip.
We always enjoy the food here so much!
No smaller portions of steak only giant meat options. The management does address problems although your dinner out is still a loss
We had a great waiter, but the food left a lot to be desired.
absolutely amazing. the service was great and the food was even better! my family and i will definitely be back soon.
Our server Carlos was outstanding!
food is always exceptional and the service is appropriate.
The menu and food was excellent. All four of us enjoyed our choices. Our waitress was quite good but failed to offer us coffee - we had to ask for it - and failed to give the two mothers in our group a flower as we left which we noticed all the other women were given!
I did like the fact that the staff seated all the families with children in one area and all the adults groups in another so it was less noisy! i didn't like the way the people waiting to be seated spead all over the area between the door and the bar and at times were hovering around our table. Perhaps the staff can find a better place for people to wait.
11 of us celebrated mom’s 80th Birthday on Saturday! They decorated the table, attended to every need, provided a special dessert plate for mom, and our server John was fantastic!
