The Brentwood Restaurant and Lounge
black booths line the walls of the candle-lit room giving off an inviting, comfortable feeling.
Very good service and ambience but unfortunately we ordered a prime NY Strip steak for $70 that was as tough as shoe leather. Not the restaurant's fault but the supplier of the beef.
As always we love Brentwood. Kinda moody and classic with good vibe. Just had drinks and quick bites. My salad was good. Feel like my favorite thing to order is no longer on the menu :(
GREAT HAMBURGERS AND FRIES. FRIED CHICKEN WONDERFUL TOO.
I was not impressed with Nathan our waiter. A tag on 20 percent, not 18 not 15. Kind of unfriendly and felt we were imposing on him. Did not crack a smile. I did not want to tip him but did not want to make trouble. But he should earn his tip and not expect it for below standard of service. Ate out of the restaurant but service sucks for a 4-5 star restaurant
I was very impressed to have such high quality dining options in our backyard and to avoid traffic
Excellent restaurant and a good late night bar. Very relaxed atmosphere with a busy little bar.
Empty restaurant and hot food
Best restaurant in the hood!!! Great atmosphere, service and the food is terrific!
Our meatloaf was terrific.Ribs seemed too large to be baby back. The wine by the glass was good. The salmon appetizer was just ridiculous-4 small pieces of salmon..on a flour laden belly bomb advertised as a crepe.no onions, capers, lemon, black pepper...who serves something like that?
Waiter rushed us by taking guests plates away as one guest was still eating dinner. Felt this was rude. I spoke to the waiter on the side and he apologized.
We went to the bar after dinner for an after dinner drink. The bartender was friendly and atmosphere was pleasant.
Best place in Brentwood.
The Brentwood was one of my favs for about 15 years...
Unfortunately the food quality has declined....
Also prices have gone way up
and they add 20% service charge to the bill
Such great food and service. Make sure to order the mini burgers, chopped salad, and chicken parmigiana. And the cookies for dessert!
I had a very enjoyable experience at the Brentwood Bar and Lounge. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. The food was also a good value for the amount and quality received.
The only downside was the environment, there were little nats and fruit flies around that liked to fly near or land on my food which was very annoying and disgusting. I only noticed about 2 or 3, but they flew around often enough that it made the experience less enjoyable. I'm not sure if they came from the fresh roses left on the tables, but I would hope this issue is fixed for further experience in the future here.
The dinner was amazing as was the service. I highly reccomend it!
Great little gem of a restaurant. Reservations are a must. Excellent quaint bar with heavy pours and wonderful service. The food is fantastic. Fish and chips are incredible, best I've had.
Always our go to place for local night out. Love the dark ambiance and old school feel.
One of the best restaurants in Brentwood. We were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in. The service was superb, the food was divine and the ambiance is so romantic, yet ideal for families, friends or business. Love love love
Always a great meal!
Good food, excellent! service, but the noise level was so bad we will never go back.
(AND we were assuured that we had been given a "quiet" table.
The food was great. I had a meat loaf and it was the best I ever had. My wife had the sea bass which she loved, and a friend had the baby back ribs which he also said were excellent. This is American comfort food at its best. Also, the ambiance is very relaxed, the service was attentive, and the prices were, for the most part, reasonable. I would have given 5 stars except for two little glitches. First, my wife's sea bass was $58. This was way higher than we thought it would be. It was a special so it wasn't on the menu. My bad for not asking the price and their bad for not letting us know. Another little problem was that when I made the reservation I requested a booth. When we arrived at the restaurant they seated us at a table. The Maitre de said that they couldn't honor our request because when we made the reservation, all the booths were taken. Since we made the reservation about 5 days before the Saturday night we were eating there, I'm not sure that was true and they weren't just holding the booths for more "important" customers (even though we've eaten there a few times). Anyway, I thought that they should have notified us when we made the reservation that there were no booths available. By the way, it didn't make a big difference because the table was very comfortable. Despite the little glitches, I really love the restaurant and we're eating there again in two weeks.
Food was good, and the waiter was pleasant. The reason I'm only giving two stars is the host soured the evening for us with an arrogant attitude. Additionally, the prices are quite steep for a neighborhood type place that is not quite a gem.
Always a nice experience
I made a reservation 1 week in advance,on line and where it asked for special requests, I wrote I wanted a booth. I also confirmed on the phone on the Day of reservation and reminded them of my request, where they said it shouldn’t be a problem. I arrived on time and was promptly seated at a table, not a booth. When I discussed with the maitre d
He was fresh and dismissive and I noticed a booth was being cleaned as we spoke and he never apologized and offered me the booth.
The place is VERY loud and the booth offers some quiet and I was with older people.
But more importantly, the food and PRESENTATION at the Brentwood has declined. The Branzino is mushy with a slop of tomato sauce and the Salmon is strong and fishy. It’s a neighborhood place but go for the bar not the expensive food..
Thanks. A most pleasant evening.
Loved it! My first visit & will definitely return soon. Excellent service, food quality & creativity on point. Plus yummy cocktails.....
GREAT FRIED CHICKEN.APPETIZERS VERY GOOD TOO. TERRIFIC SERVICE
Food was pretty sub-par for $120 meal for two with one alcoholic drink between the two of us. It was good, but there's better value elsewhere.
The food is always great! The staff are ALL attentive. Try the mushroom soup!!
Our favorite neighborhood place. Always great! Consistent service, food and welcoming atmosphere.
It was a pleasure tro be there in the friendly, clubby atmosphere. Excellent, attentive wait staff.
Great food. Fun atmosphere. Pricey so check menu before you go. But a fun night.
Great place- wonderful food and great wine-wine is a little bit pricey at $30 a glass but I have to say the food is delicious, the ambience is wonderful, and the wine was good too it’s just expensive
This restaurant nickels and dimes you without the customer’s knowledge. We ordered hamburgers and asked for cheese, grilled onions, and a substitute for the fries. The server only mentioned an up charge for a baked potato. When the bill arrived, the restaurant charged $2 for cheese, $2 for grilled onions, and $3 to change from fries to vegetables. What a rip off!
Cozy and always great food/service
Very Dark, Food very greasy and overpriced. Did not enjoy
Great old school neighborhood place, quiet when you arrive early then builds to quite a pitch once the crowd roars in. Food was good. I feel the prices are a bit too high but for a nice night out, it's a good place to go. My only hesitation in recommending it is the price -- and yes, the noise the later the evening goes on.
Delightful staff and delicious food with great atmosphere!
the vegetarian burger was delicious! service was great! would definitely come back to try different entrees...great neighborhood find!
The restaurant has a great retro vibe and it’s quiet enough to have a conversation. The servers and waiter staff is very attentive and the host is welcoming.
