Tucked away on Lillieshall Road, this red brick pub has an airy conservatory for the summer, wood fires for the winter, a Quiz Night on Wednesdays for the cerebral and a dart board at all times for the dextrous!
Went there for the first time for a Sunday roast. Probably one of the best roasts I’ve ever had and it came out less than 5mins after ordering. It also looks really nice and cosy with the Christmas lights up inside. Definitely would recommend.
I would recommend for the lovely food, our party had a roast which looked and tasted amazing, a risotto which tasted fabulous and pasta, again delicious.
We hadn’t realised but we had booked close to he kitchen closing for a break. Unfortunately we were told we had to hurry to make our order, so chose food before drinks. The waiter didn’t return for our drinks order, so everything become disjointed. Then when we required more drinks, we tried to attract the waiters attention and were presented with the bill! We did finally get more drinks but the whole occasion could have been so much better if staff had been more attentive.
service was slow but friendly, food was generous. waiter messed up and overcharged me £10 at the end which isn't great
Delicious roast! Pricy but well worth it. Pub itself is cosy - would definitely recommend.
Visited for a meal for boyfriend’s birthday. The Sunday roasts are delicious, I had chicken. The others had pork and beef, and were equally pleased. Lovely vibe.
Its was " OK" not what I'd expected from the photos and for the price charged for a roast dinner! The roast pitaties tasted like they had been cooked the day before and reheated, hard and dry. The chicken was also very dry and there was no yorkshire pudding, the main staple of a roast dinner..All round disappointing but the service was marvellous .
Have eaten here twice before and had excellent food and service. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was very poor during this visit. 6 people in our party and we all had an issues with the food. Chips were over cooked and burnt, potatoes on another dish were undercooked, burger was tough and the salami antipasto was probably the worst salami we have ever tasted. We did not complain on the evening because it would have meant returning all the food. Cost for 6 people was very expensive for what is pub food. Will not be returning.
Absolutely delicious roast dinner. Really enjoyed it and great value too.
Excellent food and service.
Noise levels so loud very difficult to hear conversations. The front eating area would really benefit from noise dampener.
This is my local, and I hate having to write something negative, but the service was awful. My chicken was very over cooked, and my vegetables dry. Really sad to see my favourite pub go downhill.
Great atmosphere, fabulous menu, super staff who go above and beyond.
The Bobbin is one of my favorite pubs but on this occasion it took well over an hour for our food to arrive, which was disappointing considering I'd brought a group of friends along and said how good it was before hand.
One of my all time favourite places! Amazing food and service plus the added bonus of a number of lovely dog visitors. A gem of a pub!
(just wish there were a few more veggie options on the mains though xx)
Nice pub, but roast was poor. I had the pork and only got 2 potatos, no yorkshire pudding and barely any gravy. Disappointing and not worth the £17!!
Majority of the waiters were very pleasant and helpful, but one blonde lady was really rude and took our plates away before even asking if we were finished.
Visited London and found this online. Hidden away but well worth the short walk. Great food, good value and good atmosphere. Well varied menu something for everyone. Definitely recommend you want be disappointed and it was nice to see dog friendly .
Read about the Bobbin being in Top 10 rated restaurants for Sunday Lunch - and so thought it would be a good option when looking for dinner one evening. I found it overpriced for very average food.
I had researched Sunday lunch places and this place was recommended highly. The food was really good, but the booking system and table service were not great. Disappointing.
Everything bar the yorkshires were great! They were way too thick, but they were very generous with the gravy and beef which was 10/10 and the service was fab!
Very noisy room; nice service. Roast beef was over cooked and the Yorkshire puddings were solid and cake like. Good draft beer. Won’t go back for food.
Went to The Bobbin for Sunday lunch with friends. The food was good (although a bit overpriced for what it was) but the service wasn't great. The main issue was that they needed the table back for another booking but didn't make us aware of this at any point. We were left to guess that this was case by how desperate they were to get rid of us! Not a great way to end a meal and easily avoided.
Love this restaurant. Food is always amazing, staff friendly
We went for Sunday roast but they’d run out at 8.45pm which was a shame. Friendly greeting and service. Good solid gastropub food. All marred by a drunk woman at the table across the room screaming incessantly before, having suffered it for 20-30 minutes, we had to ask the staff to intervene which they promptly did and her friends ensured she kept quieter. Sadly, it drove us out. This was in a solely eating space and the house should have intervened much earlier of its own accord.
Very good roast! The beef was so tender and lots of gravy! perfect!
The most delicious Sunday lunch in a calm, relaxed pub atmosphere. Great beer, too!
Really Disappointing! Usually an amazing place for great food and a few beers but Bank Holiday Monday really let down - closed at 9.30pm without telling us , so no deserts , coffee etc. Staff not on it at all
Will always go back as our favourite local , with friendly staff and great food - but If repeat tonight real risk they will lose local locality
First time at the bobbin and highly recommend! Staff was lovely and attentive to our needs!! Food was great!! Best roast dinner I’ve had. Keep on the good work guys!!
Food excellent!! Service great, would highly recommend and we will be back.
There was a very loud table next to us which was irritating but other than that all good!
The best roast beef I've had in London - a little pricey but 100% worth it. The meat, Yorkshire and vegetables were exceptional. Will definitely be back!
Lovely space, great food
Very nice gastro pub with good food and friendly service. Good menu, well priced.
Overall experience was great, the food came out quickly and was of good quality.
The restaurant is a little on the pricey side but to be expected in that area of London.
Lovely food, one thing that would be a good change is little less salt in the gravy :-)
Drink there, don’t dine there. Food was very good but the place isn’t built well for dining. Smoke from beer garden wafts in. White wine was served warm on one of the hottest days of the year. You can’t hear yourself think. Server was very nice but got our order wrong so we waited for another 30 mins.
Great food, quick service, attentive and friendly staff, with a local pub feel. We will be back again.
Sunday Lunch at The Bobbin is always good. I always go for the roast pork, because you get some crackling with it. On a sunny day, the garden at the rear is a nice spot. They always have a couple of well-kept real ales on draught. The Harvey's Best is particularly good
Delicious Sunday roast. Can't wait to visit again soon!
Paella was excellent - not the cheapest place though
Booked I for 7.30 on a Sunday. The vegetables and potatoes seemed like they had been cooked for a while and were unpleasant. The roast beef was good and plentiful whilst the chicken was just ok albeit expensive for what it was. I doubt I would eat there again although I do like the pub
The food was great, when it came to pay, they said they didn’t accept AMEX, it’s says on this site they do. This should be corrected.
Service was very slow. We waited ages for our main course.
