Our waiter was not attentive and seemed completely disinterested from his job. He didn’t make us feel comfortable to ask for things or have questions answered.
Food overall was good. Avoid the spicy tuna cone. $10 for a bugle filled with tuna.
Tantalizing experience, surprising and artistic presentation of cocktails and food. Cocktails are a must... highly recommended!
Simply Amazing. Skip the after dinner port though...didn't need that on my bill! But it was a special occasion...and it was good port...but still...
Consistently delivers amazing quality. Really beautiful wine, too.
I was dreading the dinner because I didn't want it to turn into just an "okay" place to eat like what happened to us a few times in the past. When we got to The Bazaar, we liked the place and the ambiance. But most of all, my family and I loved the food. I loved the Japanese Wagyu and Tomahawk. We loved all the food that we ordered. We can't wait to go back.
Cooking was amazing but the service is awful.
Only one personn to do everything who makes mistakes in the wine and wanted we paid glasses which we didn’t drink.
It is a shame in a starred restaurant like this because it worth the best with this incredible cooking!
An other problem: we eat outside in July quiet normal for a Spanish restaurant at this time but it was very cold outside
Don’t forget you are not at the ground floor but at level 0!
More you have to pay 17$ For you car park.
This is the first time in the US I don’t pay any gratuity.
Every item was better than the previous. We had our server select our meal. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Definitely an experience!
We'd heard of the Bazaar and had been planning to dine there for years. It ended up being a huge disappointment. For the price I'd expect to be wowed but most everything was lack luster. The first thing we had, yeasty bread with fresh diced tomato spread doused with a grassy flavored olive oil was absolutely stellar - but everything we ordered was downhill from there. Beef tartare tasted like miracle whip, king crab was fishy, smoked oysters were tiny, philly cheesteak was just not my style, squash blossoms were fairly good and it's hard to find a steak I don't like, but again, for the price and prestige of this place there was nothing special. The shrimp is the only think I'd order again, but not worth it, I'm not going back.
Elevates tapas to the high end and deserts are sublime, even served in their own dining room! Postmodern decor and details make it a bit quirky, but in the end the food is what counts and it is exceptional.
Great food, ambiance, service and presentation but this place is way overpriced
Wine service was very poor and food was excellent. Upon ordering two glasses of Vega Sicilia 2008 at $60 per glass, I was told that they ran out and was offered a different wine and ONLY 5 years younger at 2013. Choosing a different wine, Paul Hobbs Pinot Noir 2016, she brought a Coravin'd bottle, opened it and proceeded to pour the two glasses. She did not have enough to complete the 2nd glass and brought over the end of another bottle. She still did not complete the pour, and brought over another Coravin'd bottle, but the cartridge did not work after a small pour. She then brought over a 4th bottle to complete the pour. The completed pour had contents of four separate bottles. She thanked us for our patience and left the table. I am unsure how a restaurant of this caliber can allow a wine pour to contain wine from more than one bottle. I chose to not "make a scene" at the table. The food was beautifully presented and the combination of flavors were excellent. I would consider dining there again, with caution about wine service.
Love every tasty morsel, all those flavor explosions! While service was very good, felt it wasn’t quite as extraordinary this time.
This is our second time to the bizarre. The first time we went in Miami and it was phenomenal. The best dining experience of my life. This time around the menu was slightly different and we were in LA. It was good experience I enjoyed the food but I wasn't blown away as I was the first time. I even had to send the octopus back. But I would still highly recommend dining there. Jose Andre puts out some of the best restaurants I've been to.
Foodie heaven. Every bite is composed. 16 course tasting menu was perfectly compose as well.
Always amazing, did not disappoint
I’ve been to the bazaar before and I used to consider it the best restaurant in LA. Not anymore. The food is still good, but the innovation, service, even availability of cocktails was very poor! After my first experiences this last experience was a big downer!!! Not recommending at this point!
The service was impeccable and the recommendations were all delicious! Will be returning for another dinner soon
Small plates. Tasty but not overpowering food. Creative & fanciful presentations. Knowledgeable & patient servers. Whimsical and fun environment. All and all great time. That was our experience at The Bazaar. Home runs included the abalone special, shrimp negra risotto, Brussell Sprouts, & oysters. Ok were the chicken croquettes & the Philly Cheesesteak. There are numerous other choices, but we couldn't try everything. There is a tasting menu fit for those with gargantuan appetites, but that was not us. Well done Jose Andres and may Anthony Bourdain rest in peace. He left a dear friend to satisfy our palates.
The food was pretty good, though nothing stood out. Some of the molecular gastronomy was cool -- though again, overall it wasn't enough of a cool experience to warrant the cost. The restaurant had a very kitchy Vegas-type vibe to it. The bussers and support staff were friendly, our server was not. She just seemed like she was over it.
Overall, it felt like a tourist trap -- a place for young diners who don't know any better to go and take selfies for their Instagram. Hey, but now we know. Once is definitely enough for The Bazaar.
everything is awesome. but charging for water? that was such a bummer
Extraordinary fun, food, decor, service - wow!
Order everything as each dish is a surprise and can’t be anticipated.
The drinks are wild and crazy
Delicious, memorable and entertaining
One word unbelievable
The Bazaar truly is an exquisite dining experience. The food is phenomenal, the staff is incredible, and if I had my way I'd have a standing reservation for every night of the week, just to sit in the inspiring atmosphere.
Absolutely loved this restaurant. We went here to celebrate hubby's first Father's Day. The drinks are awesome and very creative. Try the cedar smoked cocktail as well as the liquid nitrogen cocktail - always fun! Dishes I would recommend would definitely be the liquidated olives - they pop in your mouth and we could have ordered like three of them! And the shrimp paella. We ordered a lot and it was all good but those two really stand out in my mind.
Excellent in every way!!
The tasting menu is simply exquisite
It hits my expectation! Bravo
Overpriced a loooot! The food was ok but the service was poor. The waiter seldom check on us.
My friends took me to eat out for my birthday and we couldn’t have picked a better place. I loved the food. Food is art at Bazaar. The service was fantastic. The servers were always willing to explain and give suggestions. We appreciated that most of them could speak to us in Spanish also. We also had dessert and it is an experience to be able to visit the pastry chef and get to view them all. Being able to ask the pastry chef questions and watching them make these wonderful concoctions makes you feel like you are “behind the scenes” and being part of the “Bazaar experience.” I’m happy to be able to spend at an establishment in which the ownership stands up for social justice issues. Thank you José Andrés.
Incredible food, perfect atmosphere. Wonderful evening that I would recommend to anyone I know. We will be back for the salt air margaritas and the plethora of flavored foams!
From the awkward service at Valet to our hostess walking us into the middle of the dinning room then leaving us there and saying she would be right back to coming back and saying I guess you can just have a seat here and having us sit at a table of 4 when we made reservations for 2 for our 5 year anniversary... to our server being told that I can’t really have cheese and him still recommending the chefs 16 course meal in which cheese was a main part of most of the dishes ... never again will we come back nor will I recommend this place to anyone. Our experience was probably just a bad one but I would hate to have anyone experience what we did.
The service was impecable, the food was up to a fine dining experience. Bery difficult to find a word wich can describe perfection, sublime, amazing, unforgetable experience.
Great different and healthy creations. Very enjoyable
Had two kinds of olives, loved the liquid not the other. Squid Ink pasta rissotto was the star of the evening. Turbo was good but normal. Overall good experience and good service.
The most unique dining experience my husband and I have ever had. The food was excellent. We were impressed by the staff’s knowledge of every dish. LOVED the dessert section of the restaurant. Super clean and beautiful bathrooms. Was slightly taken aback by the unique decor but quickly warmed to whatever the night presented us with. Super glad we went. Will definitely return. Thank you!
Be prepared for a four hour dining experience.
Food was good but not amazing
What a great experience. The food is to die for. The flavors explode in your mouth and the vibe is very upscale. Went with my lady and our 1 year old son. She loved it and he fell asleep mid way through dinner. Guess he enjoyed it as well. Great place to take pictures. Awesome aesthetic. Overall no complaints.
Poor service. We were there for our anniversary celebration looking forward to a special night. The food was simply alright and the service very poor. One goes to a well rated restaurant expecting to be well treated and to have good food, unfortunately this was not the case. After ordering six dishes/appetizers as our waiter recommended, the first 4 were served and the other 2 took 50 minutes to arrive... we had the clear impression that the waiter had forgotten our order and just put it in after we asked about it.
