Always a great meal and experience at the Tewksbury Inn! Heather and her team rock!!!
Great place. Creative menu in an old-school Inn setting
We sat in the bar area so we knew it would be noisy. If we wanted a quiet evening we would have sat in the dining room. She had the scallops, six of them , so that was very nice. I had the bison, medium rare. They were a little lite on the sauce so i asked for more and there wasnt a problem. The server was super, she let us order on our time.
Just love this place.
Oh man, where to begin. I've only been here four times now however each time has been such a lovely dining experience. I've dined twice now in the bottom dining room and twice upstairs. The food is nothing short of superb - every dish I've had has been out of this world. I'm convinced the French Onion Soup is the best I've had so far in NJ. I love the Boddingtons Pub Ale. I do have one piece of advice I would share. There was one time I went with a larger party (6 people total) and two of the individuals as they are family I knew prior are super sensitive with hearing and often like to avoid high-volume restaurants. If you have members of your party like this, or if you are like this - I would request to not be seated in the bar area as it can get quite loud! We were seated there, and asked to be moved to one of the other rooms and luckily they were able to switch our large party! Such a huge help. Enjoy this amazing restaurant - it's quite hard to not have an amazing experience!
My family and I eat at the Tewksbury Inn every Friday after Thanksgiving and have done so for the past ten years at least. After being greeted by name by the hostess, I was seated at our usual table. Things went down hill after that. My sister and I arrived first and when we asked the waiter for some hot tea and a drink he very rudely demanded whether the rest of the party was arriving. His manner for most of the meal was extremely rude and off putting. He demanded that my daughter move her handbag. I eat at the Tewks all the time and have never had such rude behavior. I have no idea what his name is but he was the male waiter that was working in the dining room.
Delish date night. We want to go back every night. The filet mignon and seared ahi tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes were to die for. Highly recommend
Excellent meal but a little slow on service for water and coffee.
This is one of my absolut favorite restaurants. Even their coffee is awesome. The staff is exceptional and all dishes are wonderful
My favorite dish is the chicken. Nobody does chicken better !
Great place. Had a wonderful lunch. Cozy atmosphere. Like the bar area. Good for business lunches
As usual, The Tewksbury Inn is a great place to meet friends for lunch or dinner. One of my favorites.
Great overall, wonderful wine list, calamari a treat.
Wonderful experience! Beautiful setting with great food and drinks! Excellent service as well.
Great, charming venue with wonderful food. Our service was very good.
The hamburger tasted like a salt shaker had been emptied on it, the coffee was served and it was cold by the time he brought milk for it. The cappuccinos were served 5 to 10 minutes apart from each other and two were in cool glass mugs and one in a regular coffee cup and one in the glass mugs was only half full. Unacceptable. Did t want to mention as didn’t want to ruin a special lunch for all. Waiter did not inquire as to how things were at any point. I have been here many times and enjoyed but this was a disappointment. All other food and ambiance was great.
Good food, attentive staff and fair prices. Portions are large. The entrees we ordered we're over-spiced. The pasta had an overwhelming taste of Tarragon and the french fries that came with the steak were dominated by a garlic flavor. The ribeye steak was excellent. The noise level is high, to be sure, and the crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves. However, it made conversation a bit challenging.
My family and I have eaten at the Tewksbury Inn two times. Both times were exceptional - both in terms of the food (which is delicious, and good portions) and the spectacular ambience and great service. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to a friend!
The Tewksbury Inn is very consistent with their quality of food and service. The entire staff is excellent. They are always raising the bar in the restaurant industry. The owner is very compassionate making your time at the Tewks be a very pleasurable experience.
very nice and inviting atmosphere with old country expressions. menu is limited to mostly fish or meat with added compliments. One should read and understand the menu before ordering and make sure what is included in their selection. very nice food presentation and service was excellent. It is a very open seating with good lighting and they have a fine wine and beverage list to chose from. Parking in the rear with no problem. none busy streets and friendly people.
Romantic and Lovely-perfectly-prepared and served meal with my husband.
Food is always great but service was very poor. Unfortunately our server took an excessive amount of time taking our orders. After 2 hours we still were not offered the opportunity for dessert. This is the first time I’ve ever experienced such poor service.
Always a great evening and dinner at Tewksbury Inn. Good crowd, nice people, all friendly. Wait staff and bartenders always smiling and helpful even when working a very busy night.
Special was their steak sandwich . One of the best on the planet . And as always their onion rings are phenomenal .
Always good fun and friendly atmosphere and tasty hamburgers that are NOT in the menu! Hahahah.
Introduced local friends to the Tewksbury Inn this week, and I am absolutely sure they will be dining with you again!
The cod was the best. Love the olive bread. Defiantly coming back
Great meal! Recommended by a friend and was a home run. Mine and daughter’s birthday dinner. The duck confit shepherds pie and butternut squash soup were very good. Had the Filet Mignon au poivre and enjoyed by all. Desserts were great as well. Service was spot on. Made the day special!!
I love this restaurant! It is my all time favorite! Food, service and ambiance are all top notch!
My husband and I go to the Tewksbury Inn for just about every special occasion. The service is great, we recently went for our anniversary and we were offered champagne while we waited for our table! Great food, cozy ambiance...I highly recommend!
Good food; great location and cool historic building. Service was subpar but manageable.
The kitchen seemed overwhelmed on Sunday evening. Server seemed super rushed and abrupt. Soup came out with appetizers. My first entree was completely cold and and had an overly sweet sauce, the second was missing ingredients. They comped the entree for me which was good but everyone commented that the quality of the food was not what we expected given the small portions and price point. Mediocre food and service at best.
We have made an annual visit to the Tewksbury Inn for the last thirty five years. We love it!
We had not been to the Tewksbury Inn for many years so we didn't know what to expect. I can say that everything about our lunch/brunch exceeded our highest expectations! The menu gave us lots of options. The meals we selected were wonderful and the service could not have been more pleasant or accommodating. We would highly recommend Tewksbury Inn for lunch or for dinner.
I just wish there were more vegetables in my dish. There were only 2-3 string beans!
Great as usual!!
The outdoors bartender was efficient, amiable and attentive. The calamari was overdone and rubbery, but the rest of the meal was good. The salmon salad, the tuna wrap, and the salmon appetizer were tasty.
Dinner occasion with my out of town parents
Excellent food and Service!!!
Never disappoints !!
We went for our anniversary and had not been to Tewksbury Inn in several years. They didn't disappoint. The service was outstanding and the food was terrific. Cooked to perfection. They have a nice varied menu plus daily specials. We ate in the main dining room which is very quaint. The noise level got a little high due to a large party being sitter next to us, but still a very enjoyable dinner.
The food was excellent. The waitstaff was inattentive, rude and forgot our appetizer. The prices were reasonable.
This place is definitely 5 star! The food, staff and atmosphere were perfect! We enjoyed spending our anniversary here.
