We came to Tempo with a group of 10 folks for a birthday dinner. As always, the food was excellent and the service was stellar!
RESTAURANT WAS MUCH TO NOISY TO CHAT WITH OUR FRIENDS FROM OUT OF TOWN. SERVER NEVER ASKED IF WE WANT BOTTLED WATER, WHICH WE DID.
ALSO, WAS UNCOMFORTABLY WARM.
NOT LIKELY TO RETURN ANY TIME SOON.
Fantastic rib eye and calamari. Tempo never disappoints.
My wife and I have eaten at Tempo before and they never disappoint. Food and service were excellent. My wife had a lamb shank and I had a steak and both were perfectly prepared and delicious. Our waiter recommended a bottle of red zinfandel which we both loved. All and in all a great evening and a fine dinner
We haven't been to Tempo in a few years and were glad to be back and to be able to introduce it to friends who were never there. They were quite impressed. Everyone's meals were fantastic and the overall experience made for a special night for four friends who were enjoying a long-overdue gathering.
Absolutely wonderful from the welcome, the martinis, the service and the food. We travel a lot in the states and love to dine out. Tempo is one of the best we have visited from Palm Springs, Scottsdale, Nola, NYC and points in between.
Great experience! Filet and veal among best we’ve had. Gnocchi special as well... Waiter knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommend!
Tempo is always excellent and is our favorite restaurant in Buffalo hands down. You can’t get a better ambiance or food anywhere....from the salads, calamari, filets, and desserts it’s he best. If you’ve never been there I highly recommend it.
Ambiance and food was outstanding. The wine list was extensive. The only improvement I could imagine was that the server was not familiar with wine. We asked for an oaked chard and he just selected the most expensive chard on the list. When asked to tell us about it, he really couldn't then offered us a house chardonnay . . .just seem odd to go from one extreme to the other. Not his fault, he's a great waiter, just needs some training.
As expected, quality service, food and dining experience. It’s obvious everyone takes pride in what they do. As they should.
The start of dinner was good. Presentation of salads , etc were great! The entree was not cooked to my liking (filet) and my husband did not care for the lamb shop stuffing. My vegetable (spinach, I think?) was so spicy I could not eat it.
When we were ready to leave it took 20 minutes to get our bill and that was only after we reminded the waiter.
This was our first visit we will not be back .
Amazing as always. My favorite restaurant in Buffalo.
Tempo is one of the best restaurants in Buffalo. It has excellent food, great service and and exceptional chef. I would recommend this to anyone who has an appetite for a top restaurant.
Great food. High ceilings make for a noisier room
Great service food cooked perfectly.
Food presentation and quality was excellent: fresh, delicious, presented in an artistic way, timely. All around A+ experience.
Absolutely fantastic!!! We love Tempo and especially our server Joe!!! Food, atmosphere, staff, ALL amazing!!!
Such a romantic atmosphere, this is my fiancé’s favorite place we love it!
Perhaps it was just our bad luck, but the noise level in the rear dining area was o LOUD my wife and I had to lean in and shout to each other to have any conversation. This may not be management's fault, but the noise level made our anniversary dinner memorable for the wrong reason!
We had an incredible waiter named Joe Parisi! E
Service was superb. Food was great, I had the Bronzino! The restaurant was noisy but can’t do much about that!
Our food was very good, but very expensive for Buffalo. Porterhouse at $98 is almost obscene. Two of us split it and it was very good, but not good enough to make me feel I'd gotten my money's worth. The setting is great and service generally was good, but again not quite up to the standards the prices would suggest.
Great meal. Love going to Tempo. Best Restaurant in Buffalo!!!
Our Anniversary dinner was perfect - Joe was a wonderful server and the food was outstanding. Made for a very special meal!
Had an early dinner with friends from out of town. We all really enjoyed the food. Our waiter introduced us to a fabulous Prosecco. Everything was beautifully prepared. Best of all, we never felt rushed. It was a wonderful experience!
Exceptional experience! Wonderful food, great ambiance, terrific service.
Everything was excellent. Joe was an exceptional waiter
Food and service perfect, great evening.
Greeted with champagne for our anniversary. Delicious food in a timely manner.
Tempo never disappoints. In my opinion it’s the best restaurant in Buffalo.
Excellent food; attentive, courteous, and highly professional staff; very pleasant seating. Great wine list. Wonderful desserts!
The interior is beautiful and we were led to a cozy table where we could celebrate my birthday intimately. The food was spectacular (and I deeply regretted not being able to finish it all). We had very friendly and attentive service and really enjoyed the entire experience. It is slightly pricey and there is a vibe I can't quite put my finger on that was a little off putting but recommend--it was a wonderful meal.
The food was excellent, fresh and creatively prepared. The chef is wonderful.
Stopped in after dinner at another restaurant for an after dinner cocktail and dessert with the in-laws. Homemade desserts are top notch. The tiramisu was spectacular along with the gelatos and sorbeto! Service was top notch as well. Sat outside on the patio and it was a nice night to do so. A great place for dinner and dessert. A must eat at in the city.
We ordered the calamari appetizer which I have had many times and found to be excellent. On this occasion it was doused with chili sauce so that by the time it arrived at our table the lovely tempura coating was soggy. It was also overly sweet
The main course was gnocchi which I have also had in the past and enjoyed very much. The gnocchi itself was light as a feather. This time, however, it came in s casserole dish swimming in sauce. On top was an overly thick coating of mozzarella that got tough as it sat. All in all, for $30.00 it was a disappointment. It was much more in keeping with a “red sauce” restaurant.
The food was disappointing but our server was outstanding.
One of Buffalo's finest restaurants.
Tempo has exquisite food, delicately prepared. The Lobster Bisque and seafood was fabulous. Loved the charm of the old Victorian. Great service. Quiet atmosphere. Very nice.
The restaurant is great. The host and hostess are very professional. Mike B is a good waiter but should be trained not to reach over people. I also noticed the bus boy doing the same. It’s basic restaurant service practice not to reach over any guest. This ruined the great score I would have given Tempo.
Tempo has been our go to restaurant to celebrate many occasions. Being parents of two young children we do not get to go out without our kids very often. So we get excited when we do get this rare opportunity to celebrate my husband’s birthday. This past experience was disappointing due to how it was handled. My husband was looking forward to ordering their specialty...the $69 ribeye. He ordered it medium rare and it came out almost well done. He mentioned to our server that the steak was over cooked and the server asked him to cut in the middle to see if it was better. It was not. Now we aren’t ones to send food back or raise a stink but the server did not do anything. What is the proper protocol in this situation when it’s a $69 steak and you are trying to be nice about it? At the very least, shouldn’t the server involved the manager to either discuss bringing another one or reduce our bill? We love Tempo and wish this could have been handled differently. Not sure if we will back after this as he was really disappointed.
Lovely food and very professional and friendly staff. Nice setting, too, in an old house in quirky Allentown. Very expensive, but worth it.
