Taste at Rustic
The sashimi was good but this restaurant is not Japanese. It has very limited menus of sushi / sashimi. The main hot dishes are more pan Asian. I expended it’s to be more Japanese. It is ok but nothing special.
Great japanese style food, outstanding raw materials and a stylish presentation. Highly recommended but please upgrade the kitchen air intake system because the smell of fried is not nice for such a location.
Food was absolutely delicious and the staff is very nice.😘
Best sushi in town. There's even sukiyaki beef now in the menu, little bit too sweet, but it was fine for me:) good quality wagyu beef. strongly recommend if you want to try some Japanese cuisine in Dublin.
👍🏻 Amazing experience!
- Spectacular Food
- Perfect Staff
- Great Atmosphere
I'll definitely go back soon!!
There were six of us there for a 40th birthday celebration. I was expecting creative, Japanese food reimagined with Irish hints per the restaurant's own description. We were all very disappointed. The sushi was quality and will done. The rest of the menu was boring and poorly executed. The beef was overpriced, dry and had a strange taste. I ordered the old fashioned cocktail, which was supposedly made a fancy, it was mediocre, noninventive and tasted like any other watered down cocktail. The server tried to upsale us throughout the entire meal. In the end, after being reminded we were there for a birthday, the server brought out a small bowl of mango ice cream, enough for one person. They never brought out a spoon. There were 6 of us, the bill was 600 euros. It was so overpriced and completely not worth it.
Loved it. Great food and great value. We went with the early bird menu and sat at the counter to watch the meticulous preparation. Fantastic night.
Excellent experience! This is my second time I've been to the Taste and I absolutely loved it!
Amazing dining experience. Service at attention to detail were exceptional. Food was delicious. Expensive but worth it for the dining experience!
Visited on our last night in Dublin. It was great to have something interesting, other than pub food. Very high quality Sushi and interesting hibachi grilled lamb, steak and pork. Understand this is a unique experience - so plan for it time wise each course is brought separately. The server recommended everything perfectly.
Very pleasantly surprised - we were brilliantly looked after. Staff were excellent. We had a fab time and looking forward to going again.
Once again we had a truly amazing time at Taste at Rustic. We love Taste at Rustic because it's so much more than just going out for a meal, it's an experience, one everyone should treat themselves to. The food is amazing, like nothing you get anywhere else. The service is top notch, they are so friendly. They treat everyone like their best valued customer and really can't do enough for you.
I felt the beef didn’t live up to its promise or price.
I don’t mind paying for something exceptional - but this was really quite mediocre.
We dined at taste at bonsai for a birthday & it was such a treat. The food was spectacular, from the prawn & scallop nigiri to the sticky pork & beef broth it was so tasty. Even the chicken tempura was the best chicken I've tasted. The service was fantastic, great suggestions and talk you through the menu. The wine was also super. There's nothing I can fault, one of the best meals we've had in dublin. We will most definitely be back.
Best food on Dublin
it was my boyfriend birthday, and they gave us a small dessert which was very sweet from them. The service was amazing. The space between tables was very small. And it was quite noisy. But apart from that, food and service are amaizng
We went for the 5 course tasting menu, which I would highly recommend. Enjoyed some really unique dishes. Food, drinks and service were all top class!
When we arrived we were told that the restaurant is located at the 3rd floor. We were happy as the restaurant on the ground floor was full of smoke and we would definitely not accept same. We had a good table for 2 between others which was fine. The place was packed and the Romanian waitress was good and worked extremly hard but she was too much in a hurry. She kept on running around which was anoying. Just by adding one more waiter things should be better. Then we took a set of 12 nigiri. Normal and nothing special. The lamp skewer was nice but the dexter steak was again nothing special. A bit dry ( and yes we took it off immidiatly from the grill) With a bottle of wine of 46,00 and water of 5,00 makes the total of 187,87 which is in our eyes completely overcharged for average food. Not a place for us to go back.
My wife and I went to Taste at Rustic to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We had never been to the restaurant before and were really intrigued to try it. I am always a bit nervous when you are having a big occasion and trying a place for the first time, but from the moment we entered I knew we had made the right decision.
We were welcomed by Ewilina, who checked our reservation for us, brought us to a table in the bar and helped us with taking our order. When our table was ready she again helped with bringing our drinks to the table. Thanks for the help!
We were sat at a table that at first, while it was nice and cosy, seemed to be that we were in the middle of the traffic and I thought that it might be a bit annoying but as it turned out it wasn't! We were served by the fantastic Jennifer, who was both knowledgeable and attentive throughout the meal. As it was our first time eating here she guided us through the menu's effortlessly and was a great help throughout the entire meal.
As it was a special occasion, we were delighted with what felt like the Royal Treatment!
Thanks to you all, you made a special occasion even more special, and it was greatly appreciated.

We went to Rustic on a Saturday night, for a 9pm sitting, and the worst I can say about the experience was that they were short staffed and the staff that were there did incredibly well to fill the gaps and handle a full restaurant to the standard that they did.
From arrival to finish, we were comfortable and well looked after. And the food? Honestly, I am not exaggerating to say it was one of, if not the best meals we've ever eaten. The sushi platter was so good that it made me re-consider my stance on sushi. And we're still talking about the Dexter Beef and Chicken Karage 3 days later, which is both ridiculous and totally justified in equal measure.
While it may not be a cheap night out, the pricing absolutely reflects the standard of the food - and it is worth every single penny.
Lovely meal in lovely surroundings. Tastes were beautiful and menu was full of choice.
The food was to die for, melt in your mouth and the service was great very friendly and helpful.
The food was great, the room was noisy. The staff were friendly and attentive (although they were understaffed) but there was a hidden service charge of 12.5% that only showed up on the final bill and was not declared beforehand (we were only 2 persons).
Aggressive interchange over apparent lack of knowledge of what was in their web-site about the early-evening menu.
Overcharged on the wine - did not notice until later.
Food is absolutely excellent. So well prepared and lives up to its name as each mouthful bursts with so many flavours; it keeps the taste buds dancing. I’m a real lover of fade street social so it was lovely to have a change to its sister restaurant. Pricey enough though.
Will definitely return, May increase the starter choices and skip the mains next time.
Food was amazing great vegetarian options , staff were so friendly and attention to detail was amazing. Everything tasted amazing and staff are knowledgeable with great recommendations ..lovely relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant we had a drink in the bonsai bar before heading in and werent rushed to our table .. highly recommend
We had the 5 course menu with sommelier selection.
The variety of food and drink was really great and I liked very much the sea bream and crab broth.
The price was a bit high especially the 30€+ added for service which was not specified in the menu.
Fabulous food. Great service. Good value. Really enjoyed it! We will be back!
Every single dish was amazing and delicious, I think this is the best restaurant I've visited so far in Dublin. That was a great experience to discover the new flavours and textures of food. We can't wait to visit this place next time. I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
Enjoyed every second, would highly recommend. Delicious !
Truly wonderful atmosphere and service. The food and drinks were great, service excellent, and presentation beautiful. My friend and I loved everything!
Food was tasty but the service ruined our meal. Our order wasn't taken for an hour after we were seated. Main elements of our order were forgotten. When the waitress realised she had forgotten parts of our meal she offered to get it , but at this stage we were in the restaurant 2 hours so we decided to leave it, incase it took forever to arrive! Would not recommend
We dined at Taste for our last dinner in Ireland, and are so thankful we did! Truly phenomenal food bursting with flavor, prepared beautifully. The single pieces of nigiri sushi were flavor bombs, each providing strata of complex delights. The tempura broccoli was light, flavorful, and a far cry from the heavily-battered American version; don't skip that small plate. Across our table were the steak, salmon, and vegetables in coconut milk. All were delicious, and we were incredibly satisfied with our meal and service. The wine list was solid, and should satisfy almost anyone looking for a bottle (or two).
Delicious freshly prepared food with lovely presentation. Every bite is a different experience. Highly recommend
We loved everything. It was an amazing experience that we hope to repeat again.
The only thing we did not enjoy was that we had a table booked for 7 and had to wait for 2 hours to get the table and food
The food is nice but completely overpriced for what it is
Top notch! Pricey, but worth it.
Taste is not what is used to be. It used to be our favorite restaurant but they have cut back on everything. The menu is very small and all the delicious interesting dishes are gone. Wagu beef pot my husband has had before was over cooked with very little in the pot. We both left hungry with no alcohol or soft drinks for €120
Gutted it will be the last time we will go
Amazing staff, even better food.. Everything was perfect.
