The selection of dishes is cleverly planned, just right for us. Others complain about not many choices but for us, the menu is enough- they have two choices of soups, a vegetarian pasta, roasts like pork or beef, fish and chips, thee usual veggies, one stew dish plus cooked veggies like potatoes, pumpkin, zucchini and carrots. But they also have salads of several types- garden, pasta, etc. Desserts are in small portions so you don't have to worry about too much sweets and calories. Plus the coffee and tea machine is adequate, although I would like to see a decaf coffee and tea option. But, it is fine for me, water is enough for me, not that a big eater! Been here maybe half a dozen times and we're never disappointed! Staff are usually friendly too, venue is clean and cosy at times too! More

The restaurant is in a prime location in the old IXL Factories. The minute you walk you are treated special. The service is friendly and outstanding. The food is amazing & the wine choices (so many of them) is next level. Thank you for making this a special night for my partner's birthday dinner. More

Gastro Pub | Hobart, Hobart

Phat Fish was conceived from a our passion to create a beautiful bar, welcoming of every single person, where we can all comfortably settle in and enjoy each other’s company over glass of wine or a nice cold beer. Our recipe is a simple one-quality beverage offerings and the freshest fish and produce we get our hands on. Our drinks menu offers some of the finest Tasmanian boutique spirits, great craft beer and classic favourites alike.

In the kitchen, Chef Henry’s passion for quality and perfection shines in the brilliantly curated menu that includes classic comforts such as fish and chips or Tasmanian scallops and chips, but also plenty of other menu items you will be less likely to find elsewhere. When creating a dish, Henry is extremely conscious of where his ingredients come from and the impact they have on our environment, and it is because of the consciousness that we use only fresh, line-caught fish in our fish and chips and we source our produce from local areas were possible.More
