By creatively reinventing traditional dishes, skillfully presented in a homey atmosphere, guests enjoy delicious food made with local and seasonal ingredients. The wine list offers fine selections from the world’s major regions with a special focus on Italy. Carpaccio, homemade ravioli, fish stew and osso buco are just some of the delightful choices you’ll enjoy at Tarantino.
Tarantino is a classic Italian restaurant with a devout following. In addition to a lively bar, when you dine here you'll appreciate the understated elegance, affable service and excellent food.
Home town feeling. love this family----------------------------------------------
Italian food at its finest in a family atmosphere. Best around!
Just fantastic. Great wine list, great pasta and veal Milanese is the best around.
My lifelong friends & I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Tarantino after a great round of golf. The food, beverages and service were excellent, as usual, and we look forward to returning soon. Frank and his team run a top notch restaurant, and I always feel very welcome whether I am with my wife or with friends.
Lunch is perfect - a prix fix two course lunch for $18.95 is very hard to beat. The food is uniformly good and the service is superb.
Best Italian in Westport
Hands down best restaurant in Fairfield county and one of my favorites in the whole world! The food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. We come a few times a week and they always make you feel like family. Love love love Tarantino!
First visit in many years - exceeded expectations and memories. The food was lovely and the service was professional. Ticket times were quick, but I think we hit a window when the kitchen wasn't busy. There was no rush to turn the table, so it was a great experience. Wine specials on Tues/Weds were superb. We will definitely be back!
It had been many years since we last ate at Tarantino's. What a mistake waiting so long. The food was absolutely amazing!!! Service top notch and the cost in balance with the quality of the food.
Fabulous place and great team
Always perfect for a special celebration. Great food and attentive staff.
Always great. Just too noisy, even on Monday night!! Half price wine though which is great!
I have to say as my first time eating here disappointed. Some dishes were outstanding and others were flat and not very flavorable. We have three appetizers which were great- the eggplant and shrimp, muscles and scallops- very very good. I would order that again. I had the shrimp and scallops and my daughter had the carbonara- maybe the best we have ever had, even in Italy. However the other three dishes were very flat and not flavorful, a miss. the biggest disappointment was the service. it seemed the only ones who were paid attention to were the regulars. My husband asked for Red Pepper, never came, never asked how our meal was, no extra bread, etc...
I am not sure I would return but for the few dishes we really enjoyed.
We had a party of 6. It was our first time dining here. And, it won’t be our last. Food is amazing, staff is excellent. A winner and new favorite!! Thank you for a great evening!
Our dinners were terrific, but the noise level made it difficult to talk with each other.
Always great food and a super nice staff. Had the double cut pork chop with the cherry peppers. Cooked to perfection. Pasta is made fresh and perfectly cooked.
My husband and I ordered the same meal, and both of us, loved our food. A bit pricey for our dish, however.
First time at Tarantino and not disappointed. Food, wine, service were excellent. Would definitely go back when we feel like the ride back to Westport.
Tarantino’s is a wonderful restaurant and the food is very good. Service efficient and friendly. Only complaint was that the Persecco by the glass was bitter/sour.
Great food. Loud and energetic. Bar is tough to get a seat at.
My wife & I had a great dinner at Tarantino earlier this week. Our meal consisted of salads and mussels as starters, two pasta entrees, a bottle of red wine, and cheesecake, tartufo and espresso for dessert. The food, beverages and service were excellent, and we will return soon.
Food was bland & the waiter decides to stop working and sit and have dinner. Will never return
I went to Tarantino Restaurant after having eaten there once about 20 years ago. I returned for my birthday not as a first choice but because their menu online said they had WILD KING SALMON which would be perfect for me. I love good salmon and try only to eat wild fish. Upon opening the menu which still appeared the same a online with the word "Wild" missing I enquired if in fact it was wild as stated on their online menu and was told it was not. I felt that this may have be a little deceitful to leave the online menu offering WILD King Salmon when in fact it was not. Nevertheless I ordered it and was unfortunately disappointed as the piece was very thin and undercooked on the inside. I sent it back and after additional cooking time and it was fine but I did not leave feeling excited about having great meal I had hoped for on my birthday which I informed them of was a special occasion. There was no mention of that by anyone, no singing waiters and no little cookie treat at the end of the meal.
On another note, the waiter was very attentive to my requests but there were too many different servers and the waiters were literally running around all night which I found very unsettling and not very relaxing. I do not think I will go back there any time soon. Fun place for after work dinner or bite with friends but no romantic or top notch food.
Hadn't been in years. We had a great birthday dinner! Food was great. Energy was high. Staff was terrific. 1/2 priced bottles of wine on Tuesday, who knew?! Definitely going back!
Excellent dinning in a friendly atmosphere. Interesting menu specializing in Italian dishes.
Very good wine selection. Wait staff is especially helpful. Highly recommended.
All 4 of us were underwhelmed by the food. 8 pm reservations, and no food brought to the table for 45 minutes. Caesar salad was served with almost no dressing, and even when more dressing was brought, it was very bland, and the blandness continued with pretty much everything else that was served (although, to be fair, my pasta with cockles was pretty decent, albeit undistinguished). Their "bolognese" sauce with hardly a traditional bolognese, but rather a very bland meat sauce.
All in all, a very "meh" experience.
Waiters were rushing us and I don’t know why- We actually there got there a half hour earlier than our reservations
Food came out cold as I believe it was sitting on the warming tray the whole time.
Great service and delicious food while we celebrated our friend’s engagement!
Delicious food but a little too noisy! Tables are too close to each other, but, understandable because it's not a huge space. Wait staff is excellent! Drinks were good also. Happy to have gluten free options. The lemon cake made with almond and coconut flour was so good!
If news gets out about Tarantino’s making the best pork chop in the country, Tarantino’s will no longer be a small Westport gem. The pork chop is consistently tender, juicy and hot each time I ordered it. Bobby Flay nor Mustards Grill can compare.
I was disappointed. Usually, I love the food at Tarrantino's. I wonder if there is a new chef. The presentation and taste was average, and not as good as usual.
We would absolutely eat here again. Everything that we ordered was delicious. Even though we made a reservation, there was was a bit of a wait but once we were seated, service was prompt and attentive.
My go to place in Westport. Can always count on great meal and great service.
The food and ambiance was terrific. Lots of locals/ regulars and the staff was very nice and attentive! Will definitely go back many more times!
very reliable very good
no worrying about whether you will let down
Great food and great service. This is the best restaurant in Westport!
I had lunch there with a colleague. While the location seemed a little dicey (across from the train) I was impressed with the interior, food, and service.
Our favorite husband and wife date night. Great food and wine...and martinis! Meatball app and oysters are great too.
The restaurant was very busy, which is a good sign but extremely loud, the acoustics just aren’t very good. Overall, I would have to say the service was not great, not very attentive and they forgot to bring a drink that was ordered. Never brought a wine bucket for the bottle of white we ordered. We let it go and just made sure we were not charged for the drink. The food was excellent. The chef is great, absolutely enjoyed all our meals. Not sure if we will return but overall it was good.
