Went for valentine's ..they promised live music..but we got very slow service ..no music..and no explanation...really disappointed
The food/service was amazing. The staff at the restaurant went out of their way to make our visit perfect.
Great place for fine dining; Indian and Chinese restaurant. Plus outdoor heated Shisha garden with large screen. Perfect evenings entertainment.
Personally the service was good but the portion sizes to the price paid was small
Tamara Lounge food is very nice, very tasty. However the service was appalling when we went. It was not busy, and it took long for us to get our food. When clearing the dishes, the waiter left it at the table next to us. When asked for the bill, we asked for it at 9pm and it didn’t come till 930pm, even tho we had asked three different people including the manager. The toilets were not nice either.
While our meals were OK in the end, there were a lot things that we asked for that weren’t available. No real excuse, it was just that the chef couldn’t do them! Uncomfortable seating didn’t help. Overall the experience was quite disappointing.
Terrible service, average food. Useless waiter slow and kept getting order wrong.
Don’t bother coming here. I won’t be coming again
Food was great service wasnt so good, never is. Been a few times even when quite service is rubbish very slow. But the food is great tasty
Good experience as it was not noisy. Varieties in veg dishes. I came to celebrate the occasion with my students being last term of 2019.
The venue was fairly empty, Ordered drinks which we didn’t get for about 20-30 minutes. Ordered our food and asked for it to come all together but naans came once we finished our food. One of the glasses also had lipstick marks on it. Overall not the best experience. Mix grill was good.. lamb chops were chewy. Butter chicken was lovely and just like it’s suppose to be
It’s been third time that I went with my friend, we have to chase people for service. It was soo loud and there was a group sitting next to us and they they took the whole restaurant as if they are sitting alone, they were banging tables with next level swearing. We were expecting staff to control them, after all we went there for a nice dinner and believe me restaurant is not free😜 they are charging good price
Lack of staff and their energy
AM really disappointed with Food. Spend around £62 for me and my wife
Expensive and yet not tasty food
Very good service from our host Margaret and brillent food! Would come back again l.
Lovely food, great service, always enjoy it here, the drinks are great, starters are the main items I really enjoy.
Didn't think it was anything special. The service isn't that great and you don't get asked if you would like to tip - they charge you anyway which is not fair !!!! My first time and I wouldn't return.
Food was fabulous. Atmosphere and service outstanding. My sisters first time and she cant wait to go back.
Great food. Lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff. Love the variety of cocktails available.
Food was really good and so was the atmosphere at the restaurant. However the service is extremely poor. We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks, and even longer for food despite the evening not being that busy.
A good place for a bit of Indian fare in west London - this stands out amid its neighbouring counterparts as a little nicer.
I waited an hour for a booked table as they forgot to seat us. The starters were of poor quality chicken was dry. The chilli was too much even in dishes we asked to be mild. Waiters struggled to smile.
Had a 9pm reservation, were seated at 10pm. Super good music and food. Service wasn't great - had 1 menu to share between 5 people. Asked for water which took a long time to arrive. Everything else was good though
I took my guests from india for dinner and they were happy with the food taste and over all service quality.
Worth recommending to friends and family
Food is decent, better than most restaurants, however service is extremely slow. The employees were just standing around and talking rather than Responding to my needs.
Food wasn't out on time guy getting drunk and making a scene not nice for kids
Most delicious food with best service and perfect for families
Had a lovely time. Would definitely recommend it, the food is very nice, staff are friendly and the restaurant itself is really nice.
The food and the ambience is great, I always enjoyed Tamara lounge, however my last visit was surprising, the service was so poor, an hour wait for just the starter when you’ve been told 20 mins is not good, and bringing the mains when you haven’t even finished your starter is just mind blowing, had to ask for everything and wait to the point we thought we were annoying. Really not welcoming anymore. And we asked to take away some of the stuff we didn’t finish, got home to find out only one dish was there.
The service was extremely poor even though the restaurant was not busy. Our main course arrived 1.5 later. The food was very average and definitely not worth the price charged.
Over all not an impressive experience. It's over hyped on social media and just marketed very well.
The service was bad and the food came after one hour
The service was extremely slow. It took an hour for our mains to come out. When the main finally turned up after requesting for it twice it was not good. Totally disappointed this time with Tamara.
I had a booking for 7pm. However, I called in and moved it 8:15 as I knew I wouldn’t able to make it on time. I reached there on time for 8:15 and once I went there along with my boyfriend we were seated inside. However, we did want to do shisha so I asked the staff member if we could go out. The staff member said yes and we can eat dinner out too or come in to eat dinner. We enjoyed the shisha and we were asked to go all the away our to re-enter the restaurant. Now this is when the issue starts. We met the same staff member again, (who took us at our table). The staff told us that our booking was at 7pm, I said no I called in and removed it to 8:15 he was like now it’s 9:15, I was like yes, I was here. (And according to the lounge you have 2 hours, so technically we had 1 hr left) He was like yeah but “you guys went outside. You guys didn’t tell me”. I told him, I told your staff and he cut me off saying, “we can do this all day”. I think it’s very rude to speak to a customer like that. If the lounge has strict rules than he should inform the customers before sitting them in. Additionally, why would I even think of telling him. Secondly, if he really wanted us to tell him “everything” he should have stayed on the floor only and not moved”. He was no where to be seen. I felt like I was in school for a minute, as he expected us to tell him “everything”
Wouldn’t recommend the place.
Excellent food, which is main thing for us. Service was good but the lounge could be nicer.
Despite having reservation, had to wait 10 mins to be seated whilst 3 members of staff walked past looking depressed. Once finally seated and ordered, the poppadoms arrived quickly. Within 5 mins and mid-poppodom, our mains arrived. Our side plates where cleared and our poppodoms transferred to our main plates, despite our protests, and the mains were served whether we were ready or not! Food was nice, music was loud, service was shockingly poor.
I used to love Tamara Lounge and have been quite a few times. However, I was not satisfied with my recent booking. I had booked the table for 9 and it was a surprise party. The table wasn’t ready until about 9.20 due to the previous people still paying so I had to delay the surprise. Then It took 45 minutes for our drinks to arrive to the table, even after complaining. We didn’t have anybody ask us what we wanted food wise until about an hour in. Food finally arrived but some was cold so we sent it back. I have always loved the food and this is the main reason for our choice of venue but I was wholly unimpressed with this recent visit and I don’t think I will be coming back.
Great food, great place and friendly staff.
Going to Tamara lounge on a Friday after 8pm May get loud as the music tends to get louder with every hour passing and so makes it difficult to hear each other talk.
Go the quoted evening meals avoid Friday evenings. But if that is what you are after than this is your place
Very good evening out with work colleagues. Have been here before, and have always found the food to be on point, but service and noise has tended to be sketchy on when you go. We went on a Wednesday evening, and so no problem.
Food was very good, service was good... the ambience was good.
Waited very long for our meal.Cocktails were a let down. Overall not great
Will never go back!
Dishes were dirty and greasy. Asked for water, glasses were dirty. Asked for a cold apple juice, was really really warm. Ordered starters, waited half an hour to arrive, even though there were only 4 tables with people in the restaurant and when they did eventually arrive, they were cold! Had no mint sauce and was told it would take half an hour to take - i'm pretty sure mint sauce is simply yoghurt and mint sauce mixed together which should take barely 5 mins to make. Ordered mains, again took 45 mins to arrive. Service was poor - not professional and didnt seem experienced at all. Were confused when i asked for a apple juice even though was on menu.
Honestly, will never go back...worst restaurant experience ever!
We booked a table for 7, when we got there it was 7.10 but the table wasnt ready so we were directed to the bar to get a drink while we wait. Which meant we spent £12 on drinks which we would not have done if we were seated.
We ordered our food at 7.30, the food did not arrive until 8.15. The food dis not taste great. I have been during the day and the service and food was lovely.
Then at around 8.45 the music starts playing, it was so loud that having a conversation was hard. My friend who i took for the first time was not impressed
Been here many times; great food and service. If you don’t like loud restaurants don’t go on a Friday or Saturday, but other evenings seem fine.
