Overpriced, food was just ok. Deserts were good. Won’t be coming back unless in the immediate area for a milkshake.

We went there for my daughter’s birthday as we have over the last two years. We went there per her request. When we got there it wasn’t busy. It took longer than expected to get anyone to come over to our table and greet us or ask if we wanted any beverages. And I was about to go back to the front desk to see if anyone was going to wait on our table. The overpriced average food in subpar Staph with something that we are not going to come back to you again. I think if you’re a little kid it’s an OK experience but for an adult or teens it’s less than desirable. I was sadly disappointed by this experience and we won’t be back, on purpose!

Had to send three different food items back due to temperature. Noodles were given to the kids that were colder than a pasta salad. It really put a damper on the expensive night out to have to continually flag the waitress down to send cold food back.

Great food. Large portions for both drinks and desserts. Also pretty pricey. But a fun atmosphere. Kids loved it. We made a mistake pointing to a dessert on the menu and the wrong one was brought out. The waitress was very understanding and helpful. She took the dessert back and brought the one we wanted out with no problems or questions.

The food was fantastic! The venue was a little smaller than expected especially on the candy store side of it, but it was still a fun environment. The service was pretty good, we did have to continually ask for water refills but they were very busy. It’s Rosemont so you expect to pay a little more for things but overall the pricing was kind of disappointing. Their goblet drinks are $36 and then there’s a $7 additional charge if you want to keep the plastic cup and they also don’t really do anything for birthdays, your options are buy a sparkler they’ll put in a cup of sprinkles or buy a dessert and they’ll put in a sparkler. Also if your in a group of 5 or more there’s a 20% service charge so for 1 appetizer, 3 meals, and 6 drinks to a 6 person party was almost $300 and they still couldn’t throw in a plastic cup or sparkler.

Our waiter was awful. Did not pay much attention to our table like he did others since he knew them it looked like. Very rude humor and made out table very uncomfortable. Where do I begin with other things.....
No silverware
Burgers cold
Mashed potatoes missing from meal
Pickles missing from burger
Big Specialty drink not filled up all the way
Appetizer never made it to table before meal
No napkins
Salmon was dry and not enough sauce......
Just a HOT mess!!!

The food is Delicious, but it was tight fit. It was hard to get up and use the washroom without invading the space of another a table. Also, though our server was nice no one seemed enthused or genuinely up beat which made for a not so great experience.

I would only recommend the Sugar Factory based on the variety of drinks offered. It was loud, busy and the service was below average. Some of the drinks were overpriced , the floors were wet, sticky and had food particles. The chairs were wobbly, the tables were in good condition and the menus appeared to be in good condition as well. The chandeliers had dust and the lighting appeared dimmer than usual. The staff was seen having conversations and should have been assisting guest. There should be some sort of crowd control near the entrance. and the manger should be able to be recognized if needed. There were numerous staff members at the entrance, busy on cell phones and other tasks. Guest thought most of the staff were customers due to their appearance and lack of attention. Guest were asking other guest for assistance, when we should have been able to consult with staff for our questions. The overall experience was below average. I have been to Sugar Factory in the past and the service was much better. It seems to be declining in service and cleanliness.

13th birthday for my daughter. Feel like I need to take out a loan to pay for any of the items on the menu! $300 bill for 4 kids & 2 adults. Insanely over priced! $22 for a milkshake?? (Make that $88 for 4 milkshakes!). Ridiculous. Kids loved it - but parents will cringe!

We arrived there early for our 530 reservation and they would not seat us until 530. We arrived at 510. Also food and drinks were just okay but very overpriced. I got the bill and thought $180 for 2 adults and 2 kids was so expensive. Also, they do not have a kids menu, so you’ll be taking home leftovers. Very loud inside the restaurant.

We arrived early for our reservation and were told we would probably not be seated until closer to our time. While we waited, we watched many walk in's arrive and get seated within 10-15 minutes. We waited close to an hour, then asked again at the hostess station about our table. The Open Table reservation form offered us a high top table, which I selected. When I asked at the hostess table about that request, she looked at me like I was crazy to ask such a thing and they didn't have those. We were then seated in a bright room with tables extremely close together, which had many tables open, so didn't make sense that we waited. Two waitresses that we saw were working the room and after 5 - 10 minutes neither waitress acknowledged us, even though one of them was serving the two tables closest to us. My son and I got up and left the restaurant while my husband asked to speak to a manager about our experience. We went next door to a bbq restaurant and had a fabulous dinner; wish we would have started there! The manager was kind and apologized about our experience at the Sugar Factory.

Where do I start? We arrived 15 min before our 8:30 reservation for a party of 4 on a Saturday night. Thank goodness we had no small children! There is no place to wait (everyone is on top of each other). We waited approx 1 hr to be sat- 15 of it was because we arrived the 15 min early they request!!!! How INSANE, RUDE, and UNPROFESSIONAL WHEN we had a reservation!!!! Our waitress appeared to have a migraine and continually was acting accordingly. My daughters’ $32 bowl drink froze solid and they were forced to add sprite to it! Lovely at that cost!!!!!!!!!! In my opinion if you are going to charge those prices (my drink cost $12) you should have service at that level. I don’t anticipate EVER going there at night again, and not even sure I would try to be there during the day. I am giving it 3 stars because the food/drinks WERE good. Just terribly ran and overpriced for the level of service. Why take reservations and ask people to be early if it means practically nothing?!?!?!

We had a reservation at 7:30pm did not get seated until 8:30. That killed the excitement for my party due to the long wait and the hostess not being sure when we would be seated because they were backed up with reservations. Overall, it was a good experience for my daughter who turned 3! It’s very expensive and they don’t have a kids menu.

It was ok, just way too overcrowded, can't even walk in and out. Definitely a fire hazard when the entrance and exit is that congested. Also, way too overpriced for my taste.

The time we went was very busy. We had reservations at 545 and weren't sat until close to 700. Once we were sat, the service and food were very fast. The food and drink options were great and the food was delicious. Overall good experience. Would like to see a waiting area or more organized seating.

Had a 5:45 Reservation...NOT SEATED UNTIL 6:35!!!!! Slow Service once seated....Felt rushed all night... we did get a free dessert but this was a SMALL token for all the angst in getting seated and served... we may not be back... too many other options with better service!

I would recommend Sugar Factory with warning! We waited 1 hour past our RESERVATION time, we were JAMMED in the waiting area (if there was an emergency, several people would have been trampled and this had to have been a fire code violation), we couldn't hear each other talk, there was no kid menu meaning we paid for 2 full portions for 2 toddlers, and we were rushed through our meal to make way for the next group. I think it's a fun experience to have with special, expensive treats, but definitely not a repeat customer type of restaurant.

We seem to always have a party of 8 and because the tip is charged the service lacks in attention we receive. Usually your server works for their tip but already added in they put no extra effort. I guess $40 tip is what they expect.

I made reservations for Sugar Factory 3 weeks in advance of our trip to see Disney On Ice. We had 8 people in our party. When we arrived we were promptly seated at a booth that looked to typically seat 5 people. We asked for a new table that would fit 8 and were told it would be a wait. There were multiple large tables open at the time. The next large group of 8 was taken back to a table and when seated they found the same thing as we did, but they were promptly seated at a new table. We waited for 50 minutes before we were finally seated at a table that had been open the whole time we waited. The host staff was rude and told us we had to wait because we refused a table. I reminded them that we reserved a table for 8 and were given a table for 5. They sat us outside of the normal dining room, so the ambiance was definitely not as nice. The food was delicious, but not sure we would ever return. Fogo de Chao will continue to be our go-to in that area.

Pretty empty when we went on Saturday at 11 am. Stuck in a back booth (that was way too small). My fault, should have asked to move to a table. Asked the waiter for some Kalhua in a milk shake and he said they do not carry Kalhua....saw it at the bar! My husband ordered the Asian Chicken salad and it came out with NO dressing. When he took a bite and asked the waiter for some dressing his real: Oh, you want dressing. SMH!!! Pour my daughter's icy-smoke drink and it overflowed all over the table and he just walked away. We were left to scramble to unwrap napkins to clean it up! not that I minded the service charge already added on the bill, however, never heard of adding it for 5 people in your party. Food - a bit below average. Service - horrible. Entire experience - WILL NOT GO BACK.

made reservations for 8p for four people, checked in at 7:52p and our table wasn't ready until 8:20p. Wasn't expected to wait, however the hostess did advise me there was a 20-30 minute wait after I asked her how long until our table was ready. Overall the ambiance is nice and the overpriced food is just ok. My daughter really enjoyed the time there because of the candy and unique drinks. I would go back, just not any time soon.
