Strip House Midtown
Food was amazing. Large portions. Service was fantastic.
Husband had steak - said it was the best he ever had. Generally quiet noise level however one table did get a bit rowdy as the alcohol flowed. Mainly couples and businessmen.
My boyfriend and I were on vacation visiting NY for the first time. We wanted a nice steakhouse experience in Manhattan so we did some research and chose the Strip House. The ambiance was nice, service was good and the lobster bisque soup was excellent. But I was not impressed with our steaks. We both had the ribeye and chose the peppercorn crust. I have to say the peppercorn crust was way too heavy and overpowered the meat, and my steak was nothing to write home about. For the amount of our bill, $291 with tip included, I was underwhelmed with the food quality. Honestly, Ive made a better steak at home. Our meal was fine, but I don’t feel it lived up to the amount of money we spent. Our meal consisted of a few cocktails, I ordered the lobster bisque, my boyfriend had a mixed greens salad, we each had a ribeye with one side each. Bill was almost $300 for the two of us. I expected more I guess for that much money. Have to say unfortunately I would not go back nor recommend this restaurant. Very pricey and I don’t feel it lived up to the prices.
Service was amazing. We went for a 13 year old bday. Staff was so sweet to her. Will definitely recommend to friends.
We arrived early and they were able to accommodate us. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food, its preparation, and his suggestions were great. He was also very friendly and took the time to chat with us, adding to the experience. It was a great choice.
Rib eye was very good; service was awesome, nice wait staff.
Service was really iffy and the steaks were over cooked
Was great !!! Thank you for a good dining experience !!
Pre show dinner was fabulous. Served timely and very well. Highly recommend
Thank you for accommodation, we had a lovely evening. The service was impeccable, the waiter and the man who served the water ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love this place after 3 previous visits so i'm a little biased but even so the service at this place is simply the best!!
The food was delicious as always and i'd say that was probably the best steak I've ever had.
(20oz Bone-In Rib Eye)
The "Seasonal Cosmopolitans" are incredible!!
My only regret is I didn't get to try the chocolate cake as we were both just too full.
Can't wait for visit number 4 now.
Beautiful steak OVER salted big time; wrecked the NY Strip. Mighty pricey, too
Pricey but definitely worth it! Good place to bring your family members who love good quality steaks.
Great experience all around. The drinks and food exceeded expectations. The desserts were delicious. Service was a 10 (out of 10). Will certainly keep restaurant top of mind when considering another steak house experience in NYC.
All around great. Rakesh, though, made our evening.
We made early reservations as we have a prior engagement later in the evening. Our service started out impeccably, and the appetizers and entrees were amazing. However, as the restaurant got a little more busy and a high maintenance diner was seated in our waiter's section, we were left ignored for 10 minutes after we were done with our entrees and then another 10-15 minutes with the dessert menu. We had hoped to order dessert but could not after being ignored by our waiter for so long.
Always a great choice - food and service always outstanding!
From the moment we walked in we were greeted w a warm smile. We were seated quickly and our waiter “Allan” was amazing. Our appetizers came out quickly and our meal was paced out according to our liking. We were celebrating my birthday and it was definitely one I will remember. The staff was excellent and made the extra effort to make us comfortable throughout our meal. We will definitely go back and recommend it highly
Birthday dinner . Hands down my favorite steak restaurant in the city !
Waiter was a salesman, Food was good although steak slightly undercooked but still good. Tartare isn't worth it, Lobster Bisque was really good. Mushrooms & Creamed spinach was good as well. They need a sommelier.
Great food, wine list and wait staff! Atmosphere was very nice for a steak place.
As always the service was exceptional. The food was prepared perfectly. And the 24 layer chocolate cake was amazing!!
Wonderful anniversary dinner spent here. Food and service were top notch, I highly recommend
For being the only people in there when we got there took over an hour for lunch to arrive at the table, besides that, all good
Amazing menu with delicious steak, and a whipped otato purée to die for. Cocktails were very tasty. Had one recommended by the staff and it was exactly what I was craving.
The service was very good and attentive although I did have to ask for more water and was never offered a refill on my coffee.
The food was what you would expect for the price. Classic, well cooked steaks.
The lobster bisque and scallop appetizers were fabulous.
It was excellent as usual!
The steaks were good but not great. We had to send them back because the peppercorn over powered the steaks and that’s all you tasted. The manager was extremely apologetic and took them back to make us new ones, the waiter wanted to take them back and scrap the seasoning off. Their truffle spinach is the best we’ve ever had! The 24 layer chocolate cake was good but not good enough to go back for it.
The food is good so is the service but very expensive, I guess for New Yorkers it's okay but for a tourist it's way overpriced.
Overall great and I’ll most likely return there. Only “complaint” were the oysters were on the small side considering the price and their wine was way overpriced. I work in luxury food service industry so I get the customary markup for wine is about 3-4 times retail value; however, their wine was marked up an average of 5-6 times retail value.
Our steaks where not prepared as requested but the staff more than fixed it and quickly!
The way it was very nice he greeted us and was very prompt to serve us our beverages. My husband ordered the strip steak it was a cheap cut tasted terrible did not taste like steak sent it back they cooked another steak without the dry rub it was just as bad so my husband filled up on a side. We will never go back again the meet is absolutely awful!!
Do yourself a favor and order the bacon appetizer-it was so delicious! The 24 layer chocolate cake was the perfect way to end the night!
Initially misled by an online eval of cost of 2 dollar signs...more like 4 dollar signs, everything was overpriced but I found some items that were reasonable. Service was good, but when I ordered my filet I had two discussions with the waiter about what was acceptable wrt the pinkness of medium-well. When it came out the center was rare, confirmed by the waiter, but no discount was offered for the initial condition of the food.
Asked for medium and got medium well. Steak coated in salt
Wonderful experience and the best rib eye I’ve ever had.
I came to Stripe house during the last day of New York restaurant week, the menu is pretty generous, the filet mignon raw desert was amazing, the ribeye steak was a little bit overcooked but still very tasty. I love the decoration, high quality food with reasonable price, great value (but non-restaurant week would be different, “😊). Service was OK, no complain.
Always a great experience, on of the better NYC steakhouses.
All good ..,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.....,,,,,,,,,,...,
restraunt week menu was good. if you add $8 you can get filet mignon
