A sultry steakhouse in New York City’s Midtown where old-world glamour meets modern style and sophistication. Experience the combination of charred cuts perfectly paired with decadent sides, such as Truffle Creamed Spinach and Goose Fat Potatoes. And be sure to save room for the famed 24-Layer Chocolate Cake. Named a top steakhouse by Zagat and awarded four stars by Forbes, the namesake cut of aged beef isn't the only work of art to marvel upon...just take a look at the walls and tell us you don’t agree. Black and white vintage photos of bordello girls from the original 1900’s Studio Manasse collection reference an era of decadence and seduction. Visit our second NYC location, in Greenwich Village or on the Las Vegas Strip at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Colleagues and I entertained foreign clients to a steak dinner--after they asked for a consummate NYC dining experience. We made the right choice, as the Strip House delivered, with great service, outstanding food and a beautiful red wine that we all shared in abundance. This was perhaps my fifth visit to their midtown location--and it has never failed to please. It's great to book a special occasion (or any occasion) with absolute confidence. Thanks for a great evening!

We ordered a longbone ribeye for 2 as a todays special for $160. The meat was pretty dry and not too tasty. The special steak sauce was okay.
The little neck clam was good but very small ones.
The house special chocolate cake was just like the one you can buy at any local cake shop. It is just very huge.

The Tomahawk Ribeye for Two is HANDS DOWN the best steak I've ever had in 30+ years of fine dining all over the World. I recommend it and Strip House Midtown highly!

Wow! What a WONDERFUL dining experience...and yes, it is an experience, not just a meal. From the moment you walk in and are greeted, you feel like you've been transported to what I would imagine the 50's were like in NYC. It felt like you were invited to an exclusive club that only a few elite members of society know about. The waitstaff were attentive, kind, thoughtful, and interactive. They gave you space while simultaneously seeing to your every need. The food was outstanding, we had the Filet Mignon and it was cooked to perfection. The sides were delicious and enough for the table to share. We also indulged in the Strip House Signature 24-Layer Chocolate Cake...it was divine! We cannot thank you enough, Strip House, for this amazing meal and sensational experience.

We have been to several steak houses in NYC. This was the best steak I have ever had. Our waiter was terrific! Very knowledgable. It certainly isn't inexpensive but it is worth the splurge.

Great meal. Tomahawk & Porterhouse steaks were phenomenal. As were the sides of bacon. Mac & cheese and cream of spinach was dull.

Waiter was professional but not exactly warm. A good waiter but just didn’t have the chat others do.

Great wine list, tho a glass of white wine at $20 at the bar was way too expensive.

Great food and good screen. Def will be back.

We came here a few years ago and it was amazing. This time both steaks cooked to the wrong temp. When they brought back both recooked steak they were so tuff... worse then old beef jerky..... Just terrible for $140 a person.

Having been a restaurant owner for 50 years and currently owner of 5 diners in northeast Florida I have never been remotely disappointed with the Strip House. Food and service are a 5+...we dined last nite with my son-in-law, who had never been to the Strip House, and his 3 sons (aged 8,12 & 13). When time to leave he commented that ‘may have been the best meal he had ever experienced in a restaurant.’ I would add, when a waitperson suggests adding a peppercorn crust to your steak order, ‘ don’t be bashful,’take the server up on the suggestion. Won’t regret! We had a wonderful Italian meal on 56th street the next night, but we both agreed we would just as soon gone back to the Strip House and had the same meal we had had the night before it was that good !

We had dinner at the Strip House on 44th Street last Saturday before heading over to see To Kill a Mockingbird on Broadway. Dinner was excellent. The show was too!

This place is one of my favorite spots. Very good salad. Excellent bread, especially the pretzel bread. Steak was outstanding. Haricot verts and french fries made for a nice accompaniment.

Drinks were very good as well. Had a couple Old Fashioneds with Buffalo Trace.

We finished off with a light dessert of blueberry and coconut sorbet.

Service was top notch as usual. Not an inexpensive meal, but worth the price if you ask me.

This was surprisingly a let down.
The steak was good but not $$$$ good.
The waiter was pushy on suggesting menu items and they turned out not that great.
My friend's side (Duck fat fried potatoes) was highly recommended by the waiter but were very dry inside. Just really surprised that this place wasn't better than it was.

terrific waiter and supporting service staff. Food good but a little over-spiced. Know that the peppercorn dusting is something of a signature item for you. But I wonder if you might think about de-emphasizing it a liitle.

We had a great business meal at the Strip House. First courses were shrimp cocktail with 4 jumbo shrimps, a basic but nice appetizer. We also had the bacon 🥓 4 luscious strips of thick cut and sweet bacon. Tuna tartare and also lobster bisque were presented well with good flavors. Entrees consisted of the 8 oz. filets and the tuna nicoise, prepared perfectly. Sides were the tipped potatoes and charred broccoli, both excellent. Wine selection was extensive but over priced.

First time at Strip House Midtown. Nice bar that is ahead of a cozy bilevel dinning room. Decor has a red light cat house thing going on.
Food- steak is peppered. Be warned peppered heavily. That said food was very good in terms of quality prep, etc
Personally I wiped most of the peppered layer off my strip steak
Very nice wine list🍷🤙
Service was attentive and professional
Overall cool vibe but steak experience was less than what I was hoping for.

Meal began with an excellent Caesar salad and crab meat cocktail. We then both ordered a bone in filet Mignon for $71, that had very little taste, as well as mine being overcooked. As sides we ordered a goose fat potato concoction that was very dry, and burnt on the bottom. The other side was asparagus which was okay. For dessert we had a baked Alaska which looked great, but was nothing special.

While the food is wonderful, the staff is horrendous. Yes, they will serve you and act nice at that point, however they will talk badly about your table even at a few feet away, in a different language while looking directly at you. My table believed that they were talking about either A. If I was going to eat an entire 14oz. Steak based on my skinny physique (plot twist I did, in which the chef came out to me and just said "good job." Then talked about me a few feet away, in a different language starting at me) or B. We didn't look like bougie people and thought we were broke but we paid the entire bill and tipped like the respectable people they're not. You can find MANY other steak houses in New York City that I'm sure won't make you feel less than the trashbags one block away.
