Strip House Midtown
Not the best value for money.
Second time I've dined here. Business partner and I had same meal. Bone in ribeye was terrific. Done perfectly Pittsburgh rare. If you don't like pepper on your steak make sure to tell them because that's what they"re known for. Fire roasted asparagus was delicious. The chef also accommodated, since they weren't busy, and me Oysters Rockefeller with a half dozen plump oysters. Wine list has nice selection by the glass and by the bottle. Prices are comparable to any good steakhouse in Manhattan. Service was friendly and efficient. Good place to also bring your wife or a date since the decor is red leather booths, warmly lit (if not on the dark side) and quiet.
The perfect combination of food and service.
Fantastic! Maybe the best filet I ever had.
Too expensive for a moderate Steak.
Can to better by myself.
Fantastic service and food. A bit noisy but did quite down when the food came out! 😁.
Disappointed in lamb chops as they were very small and fatty. Cocktails were overly priced. Service was very good though.
The steak here, and for that matter, everything here, is delicious and well-prepared. The steak is on a heavenly plane, and I know steak. Eating here is a very satisfying experience. You have to be prepared for the prices, which are in line with top steakhouses but still make my eyes pop. Nevertheless, you will not be sorry, and will return.
The welcome at the door was a bit shaky but everything after that was terrific. Meal pacing was perfect. Staff was attentive and gracious. Lead waiter was a pleasure. Good wine list and perfectly prepared food.
Forgot $36 Mac and cheese ten bring it half way thru meal
Couldn’t put correct dish with the correct customer. (Waiter 101 course)
Out of two bourbons on menu
Go to downtown location for a much better experience!
I loved the old-school boozy ambience. It’s sophisticated and every table was enjoying joyful conversations. Not too loud. A festive environment. Food choices were high end and prepared perfectly. A wonderful place for a special occasion.
Birthday celebration, food and restaurant was incredible, service was less than stellar, but great overall experience.
Been to many steakhouses in NYC loved the vibe of this one. Bone in ribeye was excellent
Desserts were fantastic! Meal was not the best tasting food.
Wonderful food - one of the best steaks I’ve had. Sides were exceptional. Wine list was solid.
Have been coming here for years. Never disappoints! Both the service and the food are excellent. Highly recommend treating yourself to this special place!
Went to this steakhouse based only on reviews online, and was not disappointed. It’s pricey, but I expected that from a steakhouse in NYC. The quality of the food, the ambience, and most importantly the service were all what you would hope to have when spending $100 for a meal.
Too often, steak houses serve an overly thick steak and burn it in the outside while the middle is raw, then try to cover it with sauce. My rib-eye was only an inch thick, perfectly marbled and tender, and cooked to perfection. Just the way I would have done it myself.
Our waiter was excellent, and very well informed on all the meat cuts and wines. My martini was made perfectly and was quite substantial.
Take it from a boy from Texas, this is one hell of a steakhouse.
Yes but wine prices are egregious!
Only 4 below 100 bucks. That’s embarrassing!
I was on an expense account with clients and have a 100 limit and had to settle for the crap on their list.
Get with the programs Strip House!
Haven’t you heard Wall Street firms are cutting expenses????
This place is amazing! The wait staff, kitchen, hosts, everyone was on point. The food was tremendous! I have never had a perfectly cooked steak. This made for an excellent date night!
The minute the waiter learned that we were only getting dessert, he treated us like nothing.
Our server was great. The quality of food was so-so. Our server did mention that their steaks have a peppercorn finish - but WOW! that was A LOT of peppercorn... a little too much for liking. My husband ordered the special -Waygu and the quality of the meat was not worth the price. Atmosphere was great and overall we had a pleasant time.
Atmosphere and themed decor were great! It was a full house so noise was a bit high, making the ‘quiet birthday’ dinner a nice thought rather than reality. Even with that said, the steaks were outstanding! I selected the dry-aged ribeye while my wife chose the bone-in ribeye. The creamed spinach side was an excellent compliment. However, the twice baked potatoes seemed a bit dry but still tasted very good. Service was exceptional!! Overall, I would still rate our experience 4.5 stars of 5.
Horrible! Used to be a good place but service stinks and the food is mediocre at best. Wine list is a joke these days too. With 50 other steakhouses in midtown it will only take you 90 seconds to find something better.
Great meal and service was second to none! We had some special dietary requests that we handled very well and without hesitation. Would definitely go again.
What a great restaurant! The food never fails to impress. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful.
Pittsburg style steak is the way to go. If you’re feeling naughty, the Mac and cheese will not disappoint
Plenty of steakhouses to choose from in NYC, I would suggest looking elsewhere if you want a reliable meal. While we had long enjoyed the Strip House, it seems to have fallen off a bit in terms of service and food. Our waiter seemed a bit disconnected from the get go. When we asked about some wines early on, he was simply not able to answer some very basic questions and left us to check on answers. While the restaurant was not all that busy on a Monday night, we experienced long gaps in service - including on the wine inquiry. Also, the filet they were serving on this visit was simply NOT a filet. The cut was very tough and had a great deal of fat running through it. With a (petit) filet, that left little meat which was actually edible. Also beware, the steaks were very over-seasoned with pepper and salt. I do not recall such extreme seasoning on past visits. At these prices, we will try an alternate steakhouse next time.
This is a favorite place. Staff always welcoming. Excellent food and drink. Had an out of town guest. Hospitality of staff made her feel very welcome. Will be back
Excellent execution on the steak and cocktails. Bit disappointed they were out of most of the red wines by the glass and would not able to accommodate our request for plain noodles. Service was delightful.
Unfortunately an issue with the gas line resulted in us having to wait over an hour for our steaks which arrived well done once they came out. We were all looking forward to a great steak and in the end we had salad and a bite of dessert and had to get food at our hotel after we left.
Still overwhelmingly the best steak in New York.
One of my favorite Steak Houses in Manhattan. Wish I saved room for the massive and amazing chocolate cake.
Steak was cooked perfectly. We ended up sharing, as all of the cuts were a bit large for one person. We both left pleasantly full. Delicious.
Absolutely outstanding!! The food, the ambience, the waiters were top form and made us feel so welcome!! All of it was incredible and we loved our visit from London!
My husband and I go to Strip House every time we are in NYC. We love the ambiance, service and the food is always excellent. This year we enjoyed a fabulous bottle of French wine with dinner -- amazing!
My husband and I wanted a really good steak dinner, and we certainly got this at Strip House Midtown. There are plenty of options on the menu, and we decided to try roast brussel sprouts as a side, as well as mac and cheese, both of which were delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Would definitely recommend.
Hands down the best steakhouse in Manhattan. From the ambiance, to the waitstaff and the delicious food -- the night was impeccable. Don't forget to order a slice of the 24 layer chocolate cake to top off your night! I can't wait to return!
Remember to Share the 24-Layer cake - it is too much for only one... great Steak, excellent Appetizer (Sushi)
scallops were just okay..we loved our filet steak was perfect..Would go back on our annual birthday party celebration..
