Wonderful experience! Ordered the special of 1.5 pound fresh boiled Lobster and 1 pound of steamers. Excellent!
A good amount of food after you add in the complimentary soup or salad and two additional sides. Loved the experience and would recommend Stonebridge to anyone spending time in the Hartford, CT or Springfield, MA area.
Was in town for a show.... table was ready for us as scheduled. Reservations were for 615.....a more senior crowd was noticed. Place was packed and a private party in one of the rooms. Drinks delicious, crab cakes very good. Friend had seafood pot pie and he said it lacked seasoning/flavor. Pricey
We have always had good experiences at Stonebridge. The food is good, plenty of GF and vegetarian/pescatarian options.
Menu is diverse, many good choices. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, fish prepared just right. Had a table with a nice view, but it was like an outdoor dining set that wasn’t too comfortable or big enough for 5 people. We spent about 40 pp without alcohol.
This place is so comfortable, scenic and the food and drinks are great. We have been coming here for several years and yet the food keeps getting better and better. We love it.
This was our second Christmas Eve dining at Stonebridge Restaurant. The food is delicious and the service was great. I would definitely return. Also a shout out to the parking attendant. He has an amazing personality! He made the night even more enjoyable.
We went there for Christmas Eve dinner for a large family party. Everything was perfect! Servers were fantastic, food was great, everything was perfect!!
I was early, and my party had not yet arrived, yet they still offered to seat me. The ambiance was warm with low lights, candles, the fireplace was crackling, and the room was decked out with poinsettias for the upcoming holidays. My server remembered that I was gluten free, and after bringing out the bread basket, she informed me a gluten free bread plate was coming out for me. I have been going to Stonebridge for years and have always had a positive experience. Once I found out I had Celiac, I was happy to discover that they are knowledgeable and offer and wide array of options for gluten free dining so that I could continue to dine there. My son also loves it. The grilled cheese sandwich, with two types of cheese, is his favorite.
Very good food and service on a Sunday night. And we could have a conversation because it was not overly noisy!!
Screaming out of control children at the next table
Food and atmoshpere was great, as always. This is a wonderful place to eat, but you be prepared to spend for it.
Excellent food, excellent view. Really nice local gathering place.
Very celiac-friendly in addition to good food, service and atmosphere.
Phil Conine has done a great job here at Stonebridge. We love the food and the value is wonderful.
Table of 5, everyone ordered something different and everyone loved their meal
The food was okay. The waitress was lovely as were all the staff. The room was way too loud and was dismantled while we were still there to accommodate a DJ. It was so cold because they kept opening the door to bring equipment into the room that was now empty except for us. It was our first time at this restaurant and other reviews were really good. So this was disappointing.
Stonebridge is one of Milford, CT's gems for a restaurant. With numerous rooms under its roof, you can have a view outside during the summer or in their glass enclosed room where you can have a view of the lake. In the back are area's near a warm fireplace in the winter and even plenty of room for a band.
A wide variety of food, though fish seems to be a specialty, the kitchen is more than happy to modify the entree's pending your food allergies and choices. Don't forget the dessert !
We've always liked Stonebridge but it seems to keep getting better and better. It was very busy on a Tuesday night and kind of noisy but our service and food were great. The parking can be an issue but the parking attendent was wonderful and managed to find space for everyone.
We love it there!
Great food and service
Excellent food and service was excellent
Lovely lunch. Had Blackened Halibut on downtown salad. Spouse had lobster roll. Delicious meal. Our server John was exceptional and very friendly. Manhattan was great as was red wine blend. Love the river view.
Have a nice, tasty birthday dinner with family. Would recommend and will make a return trip again
Nice location next to a stone bridge hence the name. They have a private parking lot where we were greeted by a friendly security man who assisted people with finding a parking spot. Upon entering the restaurant the layout consisted of. Many different rooms. Since i made reservations I expected a room in the dining areas but we ended up being seated in a room off from the bar which was more casual than I anticipated. The seats were comparable to wire patio chairs. The food and service inside the restaurant were just mediocre. We loved the friendly security guy outside who referred to himself as the meter and the greeter. There is certainly room for improvement in all other areas though.
The food was EXCELLENT! Like, truly excellent. And a nice yet still comfortable atmosphere. We will absolutely be back.
This restaurant was recommended by the front desk person at our hotel. We drove up to find a very small and crowded parking lot. Fortunately someone left and opened up a spot for us.
The interior is huge with several different dining areas and vibes. We sat in a dining area next to a window that looked out into what appeared to be an outdoor seating area.
Our server was very friendly. The meal consisted of lobster bisque, seafood pot pie and seafood risotto. The bisque was thick and did not have many chunks of lobster. By contrast the seafood dishes were jam packed with large pieces of lobster, shrimp and scallops. The flavor was amazing.
We enjoyed it so much that we went back for lunch a couple of days later.
A great brunch experience. Will return.
They had a price fixed menu special when we went and the portions were amazing for the price. The food was perfectly cooked and tasted great. Highly recommended
Was visiting colleges in the area and wanted to find a good seafood restaurant. Read reviews and OpenTable and TripAdvisor. Decided to drive 20 mins from our hotel to give the place a try. Service was great (that includes the parking lot attendant!). We only had appy's and dinner. The clam chowder was great! (as it should be in the New England area). But, that's where it stopped. Daughter had the Lobster Grilled Cheese. It was certainly different. But...way too rich and cheesy. All that richness did the lobster claw meat no justice. Less cheese/more lobster may have provided a better balance. As for me, I had what I thought would be a classic New England Lobster Roll. That was marginal at best. I'd had far better lobster rolls on roadside stands! Was not assembled well at all. The lobster meat did not stay in the bun, as the bun was crushed in certain spots. Was not a pleasure to eat. And, again, I've had far better. Would I go here again? I don't know. Was a nice place. But, based in my initial experience, I would recommend trying to stick with menu items that are relatively straightforward.
Went for lunch. Very pretty on the river. Stayed inside because of wing. Service was very good. Nice wine list and make a very good Manhattan.
We sat outside on the covered patio hence the noise level. Overall the experience was very positive for our group. The service was excellent, staff very responsive and the food was good! There was plenty to choose from as the menu is diverse. I would just note, if the sound of trains going by bother you than you should opt to eat inside. We were not bothered by it.
Never disappointed. Great food, diverse menu selection. Good service. I will keep coming back.
Extremely happy with the Resturant would highly recommend it..Our first time there very Pleasant staff from the parking lot in to the waitresses taking the order...Food is outstanding
Waited at hostess stand for 10 minutes. No one acknowledged us. The bartenders just looked at us. It looked like a manger peaked out of the kitchen. Still nothing. Was finally seated. And waited. Another couple was seated. And we waited. 1 person with a party of 10 was seated and immediately offered a drink. We waited. Finally a waitress stopped by. We ordered Sangria. Waited and waited. Order our app and dinners. Asked for them to be delivered separately. They came together. Our meals were way over cooked. They didn't resemble an omelet or frittata. The whole experience was horrible.
Husbands birthday celebration. Everyone around us was staring not sure if it was due to us being an interracial couple or they are not use to African American men. People behind us was very loud and rude and making comments. Waiter didn’t tell us his name so i do not know which one he was but he was never to be found. He was mostly at another table taking pictures when we were trying to get his attention. Had to flag another waitress to help us. Service was good and the food was excellent. Compliments to the chef that made the meals. The sweet potato fries were mostly under cooked because you could eat and taste the raw potato but the ones that were fully cooked were delicious.
Always an amazing meal with fantastic service. A fantastic establishment that anchors the heart of downtown Milford!
We were not impressed with the food, The serving size was to much food for any of us. No wonder the US has a lot of fat people. I have better seafood in Florida than here.
We went to Stonebridge to celebrate my grandma birthday. She enjoyed every moment of it. The service was fantastic, food was delicious and the prices were moderate. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking an outdoor setting with great music.
