Stephen's on State

We went on a Monday night for my son’s birthday. We’ve been to Stephens multiple times and had a fairly good experience, so this night must have just been an “off” night. We all got steak. The sirloin steaks were borderline inedible as they were so tough! My kids could not chew through them. My husband cut into his bacon wrapped filet and upon seeing it, the waiter immediately took it as it was obviously rare. Again, have been here before and it was not this bad, but I think we will not be rushing to get back to eat here.

The food and service were amazing! We will be back again. The sea bass special was incredible!

Service at the end was very very poor. 10+ minutes waiting for dessert menu and 5 minutes for check.

If you use a Groupon they add 20% gratuity. Food was great but service was not worth 20%.

Media was hopping when I dined at Stephen’s the other night, due to some early spring weather. Still wanting to eat outdoors, my friend and I were seated at a table on the sidewalk and got to people-watch and take in the sights. It was the closest thing to normal I’ve felt since before 2020. The service was the best I’ve ever received at Stephen’s and the food was just as perfect as I remembered it to be. Chicken Stephen always deserves a chef’s kiss, as well as the prime rib eggrolls. My friend got the steak special and loved it. Can’t wait to get back!

Service was somewhat slow, took about 45 mins before getting drinks and apps. Noise level was pretty high and people were crowded around the bar area. Restaurant was clean and tables well spaced out. Food was pretty good but nothing crazy.

We met 11 years ago at Steven’s on a blind date and often celebrate there when able. This year did not disappoint! The food and service are always good! Missed the live music, but hope that situation will be able to change as Covid restrictions lighten up.

Bummed they didn’t start their specials until 4 and it was a little after 3. Waitress helped suggest a good margarita and my dinner was good my mom had the steak she said for the price there wasn’t much flavor. Creme Brûlée was delicious.

We had a reservation for 5:30 on a Sat. It was relatively quiet when we first sat down, but found that we were raising our voices towards the end of dinner to hear each other. (Around 7:00).
Tina, our waitress was exceptional!
The only problem was, i don't thin the table was cleaned well before set up. My chair had crumbs, which I just brushed off, but my husband had to ask for the table to be cleaned as it was very sticky.

GOOD FOOD, GOOD PEOPLE. GREAT FOOD, NICE PLACE TO EAT.

Food and service were great! We had a wonderful date night.

Went for a pre valentines dinner on Saturday night. COVID protocols appeared to be followed, though there seemed to be a bit of a drinking crowd at the bar. Service was friendly and prompt. The mule my wife ordered tasted a bit off, not very tasty. Food came out in good timing and was pretty good. Lobster bisque was different, less creamy and more tomato tasting, but still quite good. Cesar salad was just ok. My wife’s pasta was good, just a bit under seasoned. My steak was great, as were the sauce and the accompaniments. Check was dropped and closed in timely manner. Overall happy with the experience

Server never checked on us to ask if we wanted another round of drinks or if our food was ok. He just brought the check over after our first round of drinks. Also the steak fries are $7 and there are only 3-4 of them

Food was delicious hot and very tasty. steaks were cooked to perfection. It is a little pricey but was worth it it was a special occasion . The waiter was fabulous without being overbearing.

We had cute table in the window. Our server, Ashley, was great. The food was delish.

we have eaten at stephens many times and enjoyed our meal- this past time the food was just ok- waitress was great but a little disappointed with the baked clams and salmon entree

Birthday Dinner for my mom. Host was not pleasant or friendly! Food was awesome and waitress and bus boy were great!

I had my birthday dinner here in December and it was the best meal I’ve had the entire year. The food is astounding and the drinks are the best I’ve ever had. Everything about it was absolutely amazing!

The food took about 30min+ to come out. We sat and watched tables around us get seated after and served their food before us.
Restaurant was kind enough to comp some of our drinks but it’s wild how long the food took.
Food was good though.

It was our anniversary and the food and people and restaurant was just so amazing. My steak was like a 10 it was so good. Our waitress was so nice and check on us often which rarely happens. Overall we can't wait to go back. Thank you to Stephens on State!

Delicious food. Went with my Mom and we had a great time here. The cocktails are interesting. I got a bourbon cocktail that was smoked and delicious. My Mom had a burger and I had mahi mahi tacos and we had some shrimp and prime rib appetizers which were great. The waitress was nice and the ambiance and food were great. Thank you

Had lunch with my daughter for her birthday. Our waiter Tom was very attentive, and made my daughter happy. The food was wonderful as usual, my filet cooked perfectly. Will definitely come back again.
