Steel Creek American Whiskey Co.
Quick service, sweet server, amazing food, and we loved the atmosphere.
Food was not good. Burger was so cooked it was dry. Waitress not very friendly.
We had steaks, the girls had soup. It was good. Unfortunately the service was slow. It didn't seem as though the waitress was enjoying her; she rarely checked on us and did not ask us if we wanted refills on our drinks or any dessert. We left before the "festivities" started, but it looks like it would be a really fun place for line dancing!
If you like throwbacks to 80's cowboy bars (a la Urban Cowboy), this is the place for you. If you're into bourbon, this is also a good place. But don't go for the food. Mediocre at best with an inflated price tag.
Nice dinner spot. We had great steaks and veggies. The staff was willing tobacco
Ofate our keto diet limitations
My mom and I ate here before seeing the Bob Seger concert they were a little understaffed but the hostess was quick to seat us get out orders and our server was very nice in getting us our check and anything else we needed
Slow service and food took 45 minutes to arrive
Waiter was poor at checking on us and our drinks
Prices are not too high
Serving sizes are perfect
Love the setting of the restaurant
Overall, would come again
We had a lot of fun celebrating a birthday!!
There was no one there as we went early evening on Wednesday. Great for us to try the food. Great specials, fantastic prices. We will be back for fun on the weekends
I booked a table a week in advance to specifically reserve high seated tables. When we arrived, they hadn’t even got a table set up for us and then said that the tables weren’t available. It was for a bidal shower party for 10 people. It just doesn’t make sense to have the option to reserve a particular table for a special occasion to then not have ANY table ready for when we arrived. The bride to be enjoyed her night still which is what matters but it was the principle of having a choice and choosing it well in advance. If we had booked the day before or same day I would understand.
Worst hamburger I have had.
Good atmosphere, fun place, but we had terrible service.
Richard our server was too busy for us, messed up every single item and drink, but the rest once it was taken care of was great. would go back with a different server.
Always makes me feel like I'm back in Texas, and makes my boyfriend feel like he's back in GA!
We picked the restaurant/pub because of the ratings. We had a great dinner. Would recommend!
Great food with great friends! Would definitely eat here again!
Great place. Wasnt what I expected since I had reservations for my anniversary but we will be back for sure
Early dinner before a show at the Rialto, family friendly during early evening, the kids had special requests for their burgers, done perfectly. Whiskey chicken and rib eye were also great.
Went here for the Mother’s Day brunch. When we were sat the table wasn’t ready and we had to stand next to the booth and wait for someone to clean it off. Next, the waiter said he would be back with waters- and then vanished for half the meal. When we went up to the buffet they had run out of half the food, there was no silverware left and everything was a bit of a mess- especially the biscuits and gravy. Our server was absent until we were already eating our “dessert” which is when we finally got something to drink. It was clearly a busy day but the disorganization made things a little disappointing, especially since we were there for Mother’s Day. And the food was extremely overpriced for what was provided. Would, sadly, not recommend.
Service was poor food was decent. I will not be going back for mother’s day brunch.
The atmosphere and service were wonderful. Being there on Mothers day brunch I felt the food selection could have been better for the price. I know several other area venues were offering there mimosa type drink for no charge - would have been a nice touch. Disappointed in the food.
We went there for a mothers day brunch. I had never been there before. My mom loved it. The food was great and abundant.
We like Steel Creek for the music and ambience and it's a great way to start Mothers Day with the brunch. Great food and very friendly staff!
We arrived exactly on time for our reservation. We were quickly seated but told, it was busy because of the live music this evening. We were just here for food and didn't know anything about performances. We were seated by the front staff. We didn't see a single wait staff person for 20 minutes. We did then get a server say, sorry, I'll go get some water and come back and take your order. We never saw her again. 10 minutes later - 30 minutes total, a different server said she was taking over the section and took our drink and food order. The drink order took almost another 10 minutes to arrive. Our food was quick and arrived shortly after. We did have to ask the person delivering the food for utensils and napkins - he delivered 1 - we had to then ask for 2 more for the table. All 3 of our dishes were cold. We ate paid and got out. The menu looked good, the restaurant looked good, but we had to have hit them on an off night. While they said it was busy, seemed as though 1/3 of the tables were empty. Understaffed and the management didn't seem to be anywhere in sight ensuring the customers were served. So odd to sit to for so long without anyone acknowledging our existence.
This is a great find. Not only is the food great but it also has a dance floor with live music in the evenings. The husband and I spent time in Texas and enjoy a two-step. Get a reservation for a good table for dancing by the floor
The artichoke dip and steak quesadillas were good. The dinner was not good. The hamburger had an awful texture and flavor. My husband's steak was ok. Even the server had a hard time with recommendations. However, at 9pm, the dancing was fun!
Awesome staff. Great price! Very enjoyable experience!
We’ve been several times. This is the only place in Tacoma where you can get your beef cooked exactly how you order and it’s really good. The staff are amazing and the drinks are good too!
My time there with my family was exceptional, Thank you for the hospitality and the service was top notch.
The salmon was dry, the steak and burgers OK.
Weakenreservations every year for Valentine’s Day. It’s our adult night with out the kids and we come just for the lobster Mac and cheese. When we got our plates we realized they had forgotten the lobster. We called over our waitress and the manager came out shortly after and they redid our entire meal for free. They are so kind and so profesional. We will keep coming back and making reservations every year. We LOVE STEEL CREEK!
Great restaurant! Please open one in Lynden, Washington!
I wish I could give this place a negative 5 stars for the manager! We originally came to Steel Creek to ride the bull. We were told the bull didnt start until 9:30 PM. We got to Steel Creek at 8:30 pm and the place was still empty. So we sat at the bar to have a few drinks and wait. We were sitting at the bar visiting, having some drinks and just got our food order about 10 pm. When out of no where a bouncer and manager came and took the chairs right out from under my friends. I was then informed by the manager that we had to give up our chairs and move to make way for people to stand at the bar, by the way...we were all still eating and the bar was still pretty empty. When we told the manager that that was bad customer service, he bowed up, got all mad and yelled at us that we had to move now!
Well let me tell you I don't tolerate rude people no matter what their job title is....but especially dislike rude condescending customer service people. So I told him what I thought of his people skills and lack of customer service skills just as rudely as he spoke to my group and I. Then he stalk off.
We decided to leave. Paid our bill, without eating our food. Tipped our wonderful bartender, who by the way was shocked by our treatment by the manager and said if we came in another night she would make it up to us.
On the way out, and I am not proud of my actions, but I allowed myself to be baited into an argument with the manager. Where he proceeded to get in my personnel space and screamed in my face that we were all 86'd for life. Really? Like I would ever spend my hard earned money at such a poorly managed place. Tacoma has to many other wonderful bars to go to put up with that lack of customer service and lack of respect.
BEWARE AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!
We had a great dinner here at the Steel Creek Whiskey Co. I guess the best was the peach whiskey dessert! It was delish!
We went here because it looked like a cool little place and we wanted to check out the dance lessons after. We had a reservation but didn't need one since the place was so empty. They didn't even ask us if we had a reservation though so I don't know if it came up as a cancellation or not.
Whatever the case... service was absolutely horrible. It took about 30 minutes to get anything ordered. Typical rhythm is to do a drink/appetizer order to start then come back again for a food order. After such a long wait she asked for our entire order (not just drinks/starters) which was very off putting and felt like we were being rushed. Why were we being rushed? There was nobody in there? Then after she disappeared it appeared like someone from back-of-house served the appetizers/drinks. Then a long wait after, yet another person came to serve food. The waitress came by after to check in and apologized for being so distant then left again. Don't apologize while you're actively having bad service.... just fix the problem and make it right. I wanted to order more drinks but at this point I had no confidence to rely on their ability to serve without a substantial wait.
For as empty as it was we saw our waitress twice through out the whole evening. As I was leaving the hostess said good night but we hadn't even paid yet. Since waitress was MIA we hadn't received the check. It was a long awkward drawn out process for the hostess to get us our check which required her getting a manager who said that our waitress got pulled into bar duty. Okay.... well if that's the case... get us a different waitress. The table right next to us had a different waitress and they came by a half dozen times in a shorter time frame.
I wish I could recommend this place it seemed like it would be a great time but actual experience says otherwise.
It was a great location to eat before seeing our show at the Pantages. Service was good, everyone was happy with their meal
Service was unreasonably slow and it wasn’t even busy. Our entrées came out before our appetizer, so we told them we didn’t want it anymore. We then order desserts and it took over 20 minutes for two desserts. We had to ask for drink refills which came right as we were leaving. I can comfortably say I’ll never revisit in my lifetime!
Service was excellent and servers were attentive and friendly. We went there for the prime rib and it was excellent. My wife would have liked a bake potato, but was not on the menu. I had the loaded mash potatoes, delicious. We will be back.
well we booked through open table and although I did add the number of guests coming I did call well in advance they were more than happy to add the additional guest but we booked it as a birthday and there wasn't any comments about that, some of the food was lukewarm however seem to be a fun environment and although we didn't stay past 9 it seemed like it would have been something fun
Good food, good service, reasonable prices. Responsive to our need to get the check so we'd be on time for the show.
