Charlotte was very attentive and polite explaining and recommending items on the menu. The Flat iron steak and paprika fries was better then I thought - being a fussy eater ( a lot of steak for me to manage).
The Mason dessert was nice but nothing special and the Irish coffee was cold but was exchanged for warm ones when we complained.
Overall good to go for a special occasion.
service was rubbish, price was unreasonably high, food was cold and staff had attitude when i tried to address.
Awful service and as a restaurant has really gone downhill. It’s obvious the management has changed. This used to be an awesome place but not anymore.
Waste of money completely. Waited over an hour for our table that we booked in advance, then wasn’t given a menus for or drinks, food took ages to come out and was poor quality. Service was bad throughout and the service charge they expected was way too high. Do not recommend.
Food took ages and was luke warm when it arrived. I also requested a medium rare steak which was served to me at least medium if not well done. Restaurant wasn’t busy so overall disappointing.
The fillet steak was dry, I’ve had better lobster and the ambiance in the back restaurant wasn’t great at all. All brightly lit. Wish I had gone elsewhere for my birthday
I was majorly disappointed with the surf and turf as you literally get a tiny bit of lobster within the claw and that is IT! The half a body that sits on the plate is literally just empty shell? Considering you pay a lot more than if you was to just have the steak on its own, I found this really disappointing. The lobster mac&cheese was to die for but you have to buy it as a main (£18) as they don’t do it as a side...
Half of the waiters looked miserable (girl with the short short haircut clearly hates her job) - luckily we had a nice young English girl as our waitress who was funny and attentive. The restaurant itself is really really light, I prefer more of a cozy darker atmosphere when I’m eating out for dinner but this seemed a bit like a conference hall. Everything was clean and well kept however. Overall it was okay, I wouldn’t feel the need to return though.
Setting is nice, in the hotel, but service was not good, we waiting 45 min for our food when the restaurant was empty. My lobster was cold. The lobster roll my friend had wasn’t filling at all. Mac and cheese was good however. And it’s a bit dead atmosphere wise.
A complete disgrace and should close down
The whole evening was dire. Two of us were seated awaiting our friend . Service was poor from then on. Water arrived quickly. A cocktail arrived only with ,the wrong, starter. One dish arrived with two items missing and was returned. Lobster fettuccine would benefit from more lobster and pasta and being served in a sauce not a bowl of cream soup. Service was all over the place with some basic lack of decorum. A chocolate, fudge etc dessert was abandoned by us being a huge pile of disparate lumps of poor quality products. Honeycombs tasted of the bicarbonate used to make it. All this and expensive to boot. Never again.
It was very disappointing the food was not up to scratch the staff were very rude and dismissive i used to really love this restaurant and will not be coming back here. . My son was so upset
the restaurant is just look like a canteen.....not a steak house
and steak not good....lobster not good.....
nice environment and very good service food was really good but a small portions for pricey food is my only complaint. loved it would definitely go again!
Having visited before and really enjoyed our meal we were this time disappointed. We had the steak and lobster dish , the steak was good but the lobster was disappointing. There was very little meat in the lobster it was mainly shell to which we were informed that the chef doesn't recommend that the body of meat is eaten. I have never heard this before and feel that if that's the case it shouldn't be advertised as it is. Do not think when we travel to London we will go there again xx
Food is absolutely amazing loved it! Alil pricey so not for an average dinner night, but for a special occasion why not!? Definitely will be visiting again!
Had a lovely time at Steak and Lobster. Staff were very friendly and attentive, good choice of food and drink and the food was amazing. Cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend
Small portion, bad quality, overpriced, bad service.
Steak was raw instead of medium. When I complained about the portion of the fries they just said "i know" and didn't do anything about it (it was literally just a few fries on a plate that costs 36£).
No one even asked if everything was ok with the meal even though I left almost all the steak on the plate.
Way too expensive for what it was. Will never go back again nor recommend.
Flatiron was dry and boring. Sides worse than you get at Nandos. Service slow and clumsy. Don't understand why it was so busy and loud
The steak was dry the fries were cold and the staff were sarcastic
Our waitress Charlotte was fantastic. She even helped me to select a drink from your menu as there wasn’t anything I would usually drink. Something sweeter on the menu would have been lovely. The food was great although we would have liked a slightly larger portion of chips with our steaks. The lighting was a bit flickery above our table but we didn’t let it bother us. The main entrance was closed which would have been nice to know before our visit. Overall was a lovely place with great food and service.
Steak was dry. Nothing to swallow it done with. Bought sauces. Sauces weren’t nice and dry too. Lobster had nothing inside it. Overall, waste of £40.
We had to wait for 1 hour 5 mins for out main course, which arrived & all 4 steaks were cold!
For the price we paid for the food and service charge, the meal was disappointing. We order the 1lb lobster which had hardly any meat on it. We managed to get a spoonful of meat from each half of the lobster. The chips came with a paprika sprinkle which made the chips so salty that they weren’t enjoyable to eat.
The plus side was our waiter was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us.
The place looks like it should be quite high end but the service was below average. We waited ages to be sat down and then weren’t given menus so had to ask another member if staff. Then when we ordered we waited about 40mins for food which was just steak and chips and they forgot my friends meal and she ordered it rare!
Change of £20 steak or lobster option with unlimited sides (frites or salad). Made what was a fantastic meal and value for money, very expensive and left still hungry having spent more then before. We shall not be returning, if I fancy lobster again I will aim for a seafood restaurant as the price will be the same.
Lovely place and we particularly like their fries. Salad was lovely too. It would gained itself a 5 stars in service if my water was refilled. But overall we have enjoyed it.
Accommodating team who happily adjusted my reservation size and time at quite short notice. They also provided a birthday surprise in the form of a dessert for the birthday girl - very appreciated special touch - thank you!
Everything was great. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly and made our stay there perfect.
Lobster roll was delicious. Bread taste also yummy. Service was good. Definitely go again.
We had a great time. Our waiter was lovely and attentive. We will definitely be back again.
The portion size was good from a healthy eating aspect but healthy eating could be defeated by the unlimited chips. The salad was good and presented well. The flavours of both the steak and the lobster were good. The size of the lobster in the surf and turf was a little small but the smallness of the tail was compensated by the relatively great size of the claw and that the lobster was in addition to the steak.
GET THE RIB EYE WELL DONE
Food was really nice and our waitress, Charlotte, was very friendly and accommodating. The venue wasn’t as nice as other Steak and Lobster restaurants that I have been to, but it was still a lovely evening
The staff were very friendly and careful with my allergies.
The drinks took a little while but they were short staffed on the bar so it was understandable.
Overall a good experience and will definitely go again.
Limited but good menu. Excellent chips
The food was lovely as always, however the service was slow although the restaurant was quiet. Not in terms of the food coming out, but when we were seated I asked for water for the table which we never got & it took a while for us to receive the chips & salad. My partner asked for garlic butter which took so long to come he had almost finished his meal.
Other than that, a nice meal and experience.
We booked a table for this afternoon and went to the restaurant only to find the restaurant closed after they accepted our reservation. Really unacceptable. Disappointed
Always the best great service great food unlimited fries can’t go wrong
The surf and turf was very disappointing considering the price. The lobster was tiny and had next to no meat on it compared with the 1lb lobsters being served around us. You are better off order a separate lobster meal and steak meal as the price is roughly the same. The waitress did not ask us how our meal was until we had finished and we had to flag someone down in order to get sauces.
The food was really good ... maybe could have been a bit hotter. The sauces took so long to come the food was nearly finished but otherwise very happy
Food was lovely and the waiter was very attentive.
