We stopped and had a drink at the bar first. Bar tender was great. I had checked in with the hostess who was very friendly. We got seated at a nice table. Our waitress was OK. She was very obviously rushed and not rude, but maybe curt is the right word. The food was OK. My parents got burgers and they both enjoyed them quite well. My fiance got the brushetta shrimp pasta and in my opinion, that dish was way over priced for pasta with a few shrimp. He said it was lacking in flavor. I got the baked haddock and was completely disappointed. The "light dijon sauce" was more like a thick mayo and it was all over the haddock. It seemed like the fish would've been good but I'm really not a mayo girl and couldn't get past it. The rice was certainly not a "pilaf". It was like Uncle Ben's microwave in the bag and dumped out in big clumps on my plate. The asparagus was good. We couldn't find the waitress to leave our cash bill with and I didn't want to leave that amount of cash on the table, so I gave it to the owner, who was extremely friendly. Overall, I do love going to Oak & Vine, this is just a little constructive criticism. Maybe you do something with it, maybe you don't. MoreOpenTable Diner -
