Upon seeing the stunning exterior you know you are in for a memorable culinary experience. But I had no clue that the food would outdo the stunning restaurant ambience. Every course was beyond my expectations. An incredibly lovely staff and team. Blew my expectations out of the water. I cannot wait to go back and was so sad I ate there on my last night in Bangkok otherwise would have gone back the next day. Truth be told Exceptional is a word that does not do the food justice. The cocktails especially the Asian Negroni and the Flying Pig were top notch as well. Thank you for a fantastic evening. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Fantastic. Pricey so only for a very special occasion but well worth it as so many memorable dishes. The bar counter seating is not good for larger than 4 though and if it's busy (wasn't on a Friday night) then you have to sit next to others which I wouldn't like. Overall great but I wish they changed the bar counter setup a bit. MoreOpenTable Diner -
The buffet had a lot of options to go for and overall the quality of the food was really good. Due to the nature of the buffet, the ambience wasn't very nice as it's loud and you have people walking around a lot. Also a certain local adult entertainment industry and their customer base was very noticeable in the area and in the restaurant. If you want to avoid them, this is not a spot for you. Amazingly beautiful restored house setting - open courtyard perfect for relaxed afternoon tea Service is impeccable - attentive and kind wait staff Food in the tea set was delicious The tea set was big though - far too many pastries than two people can eat - need better balance of savory and sweet MoreOpenTable Diner -
Food is delicious. It is a little bit expensive, but it’s worth for this value. Staff is friendly and will provide useful information for choosing food. Chef is very nice and professional, he was taking care what a 3 years old kid’s needs. I will plan to visit it again for my next Bangkok trip. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Overall is very good. I booked at 1.30pm but today I arrived early at 1 pm. The staff wait at the elevator g floor since then and take us to the restaurant. All staff is nice and polite. The foods are mostly fusion food. I ordered about 10 plates; Tuna pizza, Salmon Tiradito, AB tacos, 24hr Wagyu ribs, Wagyu fried rice, Perfect Storm roll, Pork Belly Roll, Coconut mochi with mango ice cream and Chocolate Lava Soufflé. All is good but if ask me the ‘MUST’ I would proudly recommend Tuna pizza, 24hr Wagyu rib, Perfect storm roll and Chocolate lava Soufflé. The service is professional as fine dining restaurant. Staff would serve dish with the food description. The atmosphere is good and seats are comfortable. Of course the price is high even you use club Marriott for discount. However, it is worthy for this grade of food, service and atmosphere. I definitely visit again MoreOpenTable Diner -

Basil offers a fresh approach to Thai Cuisine finely balancing a blend of bold flavors and quality ingredients, served with genuine warmth in a contemporary setting. Chef Kesinee and her team pay respect to the rich and diverse Thai culture in the kitchen and find inspiration from its distinctive cuisine and cooking styles. Every day, aromatic herbs and spices are used to make fresh curry pastes, marinades and sauces, without MSG or artificial flavors. Since 1997, basil has set the trend for authentic and creative food served in a streamlined setting that uses natural ingredients as part of its décor. Red and yellow chili peppers adorn the dark wood tables, long shoots of bamboo and palm leaves set a serene pace and delicate ceramic teapots remind one of a timeless culture yet adding a dramatic ambience to your experience.More

A regular place my wife and I visit when visiting Bangkok. Spacious yet intimate. Some great live music after 10pm - so get the conversations out of the way as after that the music fills the room!! Good Italian food and typical 5 Star Thai hotel prices (so not cheap like many local restaurants) but with the music and ambience it is somewhere we come back year after year. For us, share a pizza between friends as a starter then my favourite is the Osso Bucco. Kids are not allowed after 10pm because it is a bar/club atmosphere after about 10:30hrs. MoreOpenTable Diner -
We ordered sashimi and soup. Soup was served while we were starting sashimi. After finhising sashimi, soup was cold. Are we supposed to have sashimi and soup simultaneously? MoreOpenTable Diner -
