Old has become new and the Wangaratta railway station precinct came alive again when Café Dérailleur opened.
The quirky former “Railway Café” that was built in 1947 to service the growing demand from rail passengers in post-war Wangaratta has been given a new lease of life with the establishment of an espresso bar in the ground floor of the building. Cafe Derailleur has evolved from its modest beginnings into a humming café producing breakfast, lunches and snacks to a loyal local following.
The small and unique café serves a direct trade coffee blend from Coffee Supreme, using beans sourced from Brazil. The Boxer blend provides a great base for non-milk coffees. It produces a smooth black coffee with cocoa notes. Our third grinder allows us to grind decaf to order, to give those who need a caffeine-free option a beautifully crafted coffee without sacrificing flavour.More
