Diners' Choice Winners: Best Overall
New Zealand's best restaurants based upon thousands of OpenTable diner reviews
Amazing wine selection, particularly the chardonnays.... so hard to choose which to enjoy! Great, attentive service.Had a fabulous dinner - shared a variety of the small plates with a friend, while the others elected to have the large plates.... definitely a huge case of food envy when the meals came out, but absolutely loved the small plates, could've ordered the same again and devoured it all, very tasty. The only slight negative was that there was minimal pork belly pieces etc in the lettuce cup plate... needed to be a bit more to enable use of the lettuce. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Striking the right cord with its food-centric wine bar, Earl is bringing the welcoming fine casual dining lifestyle to Christchurch.
A friendly all-day venue that’s laid back while still delivering an around-the-clock sense of occasion.
Serving as canvas for produce-driven dishes to offbeat diners geared towards great wine and conversation, synonymous with the flavour, energy and relaxed vibe inspired by the costal European culture, Earl truly captures the essence of the city lifestyle with its buzzy local vibe and being more concerned with doing simple things well than breaking new ground.
The light-filled restaurant with high ceilings and stone bar that wraps around the kitchen, makes it ideal for lingering over fresh seasonal salads, house made pastas & antipasti. With the ability to be both intimate and convivial, Earl is ideal for a group dinner or one-on-one encounters.
Morningside used to be an urban concrete jungle. It was primarily an industrial area, making it a very grey place to be. Literally. A place of concrete and iron and a place with little social connection or belonging. While Morningside has come a long way in the last few years, we would love to see it become even more green.
KIND is the newest neighbourhood venture which aims to make the neighbourhood a better place to live, work and socialise. KIND aims to do its bit to make sure that this growing community is a healthy one,in every sense of the word. We want to see grey turn to green.
While KIND has a number of owners, the majority of KIND is owned by the Crave Collective (KIND is Crave’s little sister). The Crave Collective exist to make Morningside a better place to live and part of that is to make the neighbourhood greener and healthier. KIND exists to move this forward. This social impact is the reason KIND exists.More
