Had fun meeting friends for networking. Safe, socially distanced and warm, heated outdoor patio dining. Good venue to meet friends. Plenty of parking. Location is convenient.

Horrible management, food and a fight broke out

The food is excellently seasoned and delicious. It was served hot without a lot of delay

My last experience at SoBe was not good so I hesitated to go back when a girlfriend invited me. However this time the service was much better and I was told there is the same owner but new management. I still think it is overpriced but I enjoyed myself.

Poor service. When we arrived the host/ manager (old husky guy) told us if we don't have a reservation we would have to wait an hour. So I go and make a reservation online and they had space 15 minutes later. So we show up 15 minutes later to claim our table and he accuses us of cheating the system and getting irate. Even though he was the one that told us we needed a reservation! Done with SoBe!

Not quite what I expected food mediocre plastic utensils and cups. I understand it a covid pandemic but a restaurant like Sobe I would have expected more. Drinking my Rose out of a plastic cup is unacceptable

The food and waiter were amazing! The kitchen did not deliver everyone’s meal together and the owner/manager interrupted us so much during our meal with unpleasant synonyms...

Food lacked flavor and seasoning

We were a little disappointed as we were unaware of the fact that a Poetry Night was being held. As a result, we were not able to set in the restaurant side of the establishment.

I love this place. The food is delicious and the service is always excellent. I also love the outdoor patio, perfect for a beautiful fall afternoon.

David Williams, manager, and his staff were very professional. Food was delicious! I will support this restaurant again.

We had the best waiter in the world (I think he was the head of the waiting services)

Do not reserve outside seating as it is on a first come first serve basis. Made reservation, arrive on time only to find out outside was not available. Owner reported the old system won’t stop reserving outside seating but they do not reserve that type of seat with or without reservations. Had to take food to go. Just wanted to let everyone know. After meeting with Owner, I decided to not blog about experience to avoid hurting his business. He is an awesome guy. Just wanted you to be aware as we are not comfortable dining inside anywhere during this pandemic. Both my wife and I are front line healthcare professionals and we know better. Food was not bad and the catfish finger are great appetizers.

Could not reserve outside on the app.

Dinner was very good. Initially service was slow, but then got better.

Overall experience was good, as were food and service.

SoBe is the best chill place for me after work. The staff is friendly and attentive. The salmon is the BEST! If you looking for a nice spot for adults to chill and relax, SoBe is the place to go!

I visited for brunch during the pandemic where the seating was obviously outside. The shrimp and grits were so well seasoned, and melted in my mouth like butter. YUMMY!!! The server and the bartender created a signature mimosa that was soooo good!! Thanks to the entire team this was a wonderful experience. I am excited to share 👍🏾👍🏾

Was a brunch event hosted by an African Promoter. Started off a little shaky and slow but the vibe picked up really well. Great crowd. Gave 4stars because it felt weird eating from takeout containers. I know its covid and all but maybe disposable plates?? The food presentation didnt look so enticing as a result. Mimosas were VERY weak. Had soooo many but no buzz. Maybe things will change idk. They also need umbrellas for the extended outdoor seating.

Love this place. But the entire time we were outside there was an individual chain smoking cigars. The wait staff stated that they could not ask him to stop as it was outside. Considering that I had an elderly Aunt and elderly Mother and a toddler there, I was not pleased.

However I will mention that overall the waiter was attentive and welcoming absent the cigar situation.

We sat on the porch and had a great time. Great food, wonderful service and the specials (HH) hit the spot!!

Waitress was very rude and made some very ignorant comments. My party and I had to leave. We did not get to enjoy the restaurant because the waitress made us uncomfortable as soon as she started waiting on our table.

I had a great experience at Sobes. They practiced social distancing, the staff wore masks, they used disposable plates/utensils/cups and they had a hand sanitizing station. The food was great, music was wonderful and I felt safe. Great job to the staff.

Nice setting, however the food was not worth the money. The band was extremely loud so if you wanted to talk to the person you was dining with you will be shouting. Mgt, needs work on people skills. I won’t be going back EVER.

We visited the restaurant for their Sunday Brunch. There are 3 seatings offered but only the 3pm seating was available. I made reservations via Open Table for the 3pm seating and received the confirmation email. When we arrived at 3pm, we were told that they couldn't find our reservation but then seated us anyway. It was not very crowded at all but took some time to be waited on. Our server was the highlight of our visit as she was very accommodating and pleasant. However, many of the food items had run out or looked like they had been under the serving burners for a long time. The sausage was burnt to a crisp and there was grits that seemed to be cooked with milk. Then there was the crab legs (which is what I was looking forward to). There was maybe one or two clusters left and when I asked if more were coming out I was original told "5 minutes". 10 minutes later I asked again and was told that they would be out shortly but they never came. I finally asked my server to check again and she came back saying they won't be out for quite some time. At that point I asked for the check which with the buffet and one coffee came to a whopping 90.00 after tipping. I wondered if things were this way because it was the last seating and the earlier seatings were much better stocked and abundant. While buffet brunches in the area are sparse, I won't be visiting this one again.

We enjoyed a delightful meal with a decent server but after two hours one of the managers walked over and said he needed our table and asked us to leave. We were taken a back and asked to speak to another manager or owner to find out policy. The owner was not there so another manager shared that they have been trying to rotate people within two hour window and that open table is supposed to inform people. This was not the case and was very disappointing. I believe that the restaurant has got to do a better job of letting clientele know ahead of time if this is the case.

Two of my friends and I met at SoBe Restaurant for our quarterly get together. It was our first time there. We had a 1PM. Reservation. We were seated by 1:30PM when my friends arrived. All of us have rave reviews about SoBe. We had the Brunch and loved it! We were not rushed by the staff to leave at all! We were so comfortable. It was like sitting at the table in our homes. The staff was attentive and friendly. They did not rush us out. We stayed until about 7:30PM. WOW! I highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere, the decor, the staff...all brilliant. I will go back. The manager was very approachable. He was on the floor with the staff. One of my favorite places to go now! Love it!

Food was great staff was friendly and wonderful!! Very attentive.. I lived how everyone pitched in ,Because it was a lot going on with the entertainment they had that night!! Jennifer was amazing and had my party if 4 Seated Immediately..

We had an 8:00pm reservation; we didn't get seated until 15 minutes later and there was nowhere to 'wait to be seated.' We stood by a cold door. The host appeared to be overwhelmed and had to eventually clean off my table so that we could be seated. We came for an event hosted by WHUR 96.3 but we weren't able to hear or see the event because there is a stage blocked by a large wall. There wasn't any music; just an event we couldn't see. We were greeted by our server, but she ended up having to hand the table over to another individual who was nice but again, overwhelmed. He took out order but missed an item; we didn't address it because we were worried that it would take a long time to get it from the kitchen. The food is overpriced. I got the Stuffed Trout and it tasted like paper. The tables next to us were so close, it was really difficult to have a private conversation. The restaurant itself is beautiful but I really didn't enjoy myself. I would not recommend.

The food was good. The waiters were really attentive. I was surprised that the buffet only offered pork bacon and sausage but no turkey breakfast meats. They did however offer fish and chicken on the buffet. We had an 11:00 reservation and they promptly seated us. But, they were still setting up at food at 11:15. It’s good option for people who can eat shellfish and there’s a very nice vibe.

We went to have Sunday brunch. I wish that the online menu reflected the buffet only on the menu. But the only reference I saw about branch was the 2 hour limit per table not that there was only a buffet available. They do however have $10 bottomless mimosas.

After the restaurant became crowded my food was slow. I understood the delay. The food was delicious and the waiter was attentive.
