Designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and decorated with art by Damien Hirst, Frank Gehry and Michael Roberts, the look and feel is mid-century glamour and opulence. The restaurant and bar are open seven days a week, with a resident DJ from Wednesday through Sunday.
A private dining space, The Coral Reef Room, is located on the lower ground floor and houses two of the largest live coral reef tanks in the world.
The bar holds one of the world’s biggest Japanese whisky collections, as well as offering a drinks menu featuring both classic and inventive cocktails.
Very good food with very good service specialy host Dario!!! He knows how to help you and give you special service reallyyyyy nice 👍🏻👍🏻
Overall nice experience, not the best food in town but the ambiance was nice
Service as well as the personnel as well could be better. Overall great place to be.
Great place for lunch. Lovely atmosphere, great food and attentive staff
Amazing food and service
Loved the food, especially King Crab and bone marrow, wow!
Arrived on time and the only person booking guests in was having an argument with a guest who thought she had a booking but had not. This took nearly 10 mins to resolve, while a long queue built up behind me. The restaurant should have had another person who could book guests in.
As usual at Sexy Fish the food was excellent, however the service was not. When you order you are told that all your food will come from the kitchen when it is ready. That’s OK, but when they totally forget one dish which you need to ask for and when one dish comes after they have started to clear away the plates you eat from and about 20 mins after all the other dishes have arrived it is not great. I asked them to knock the very late dish off the bill and sent it away.
We did not bother to complain at the time, as that always puts a “downer” on your night out, but I did email and complain the next morning that the bill had not had the rejected dish removed. Over 24 hours later and no reply. They need to improve.
Excellent food (unlike some other expensive restaurants which are all hype but no substance)!
The food is so so so good, service is also good but the music is too loud and noisy
Music way too loud, the service is appalling (got my drink 30 mins after the others after reminding waiters a few times) and the atmosphere is like a cheap bar with a lousy crowd...
I went with a group of girlfriends and it was perfect atmosphere. Servers were very friendly. Food was good: and served in a timely fashion. Overall a great experience and yes we will repeat
Booked for 1900hrs sat 30th Nov, got to the restaurant at 1909hrs seated straight away, food and drink all very much overpriced but it is Berkeley Square!
At exactly 2100hrs we were asked to vacate our table as the next booking was ready.
Although we still had wine and liqueurs to drink, we moved through to the overcrowded bar area.
Not a great end to the evening, and I would warn anybody with a reservation to be made aware of this on busy nights.
Very lively and vibrant, but not as good as Scott’s.
(Before posting this, I contacted the restaurant and received a call straight back saying they would ensure we would be looked after next time)
You redo get what you pay for here.... amazing service and the food incredible
This was our first time at Sexy Fish and we were hugely impressed from start to finish. The aesthetic is absolutely gorgeous and the atmosphere is fantastic. There is a really lively vibe but the tables are positioned in a way you can still enjoy an intimate conversation. All the staff were attentive and made the effort to make us feel special and welcome. Food and drinks were delicious and came promptly, plates were also cleared away quickly and the attention to detail from staff really showed. This is possibly our new favourite London restaurant!
Fabulous atmosphere and fantastic, atentive service
Our reservation was at 22:45 but our table wasn’t ready until 23:20 !!
It is indeed a hotspot but we were negatively surprised as we had to wait 30min for our table. Especially considering the fact that I got text messages and calls from the restaurant 24 hours before reconfirming our reservation and clear direction that they only hold our table for 15min. Paired with an unfriendly / stressed reception lady this was not a good start. Everything else was great ;-)
Slightly overpriced with a cover charge that isn’t warranted.
Nice restaurant, with good food and great music! Found it a bit overpriced (especially the wine list)
Excellent service, great food, loud good music. Had a great time
Perfect place, amazing music, and good atmosphere.
Sexy Fish food is really nice, just wish the portions were a little bit bigger. £17.50 for 2 skewers of grilled king prawn was a bit much but was extremely tasty. Would recommend if going for a special occasion. Also, the staff did interrupt quite a lot whilst eating. Was a bit excessive to be honest.
The manager was so rude! The wait staff were polite but the ambiance felt a bit like an old garish canteen, not the luxury restaurant I was expecting. The fish theme i.e. cutting the brioche into a rudimental fish shape, felt like it belonged at a childrens party. It was just poor and underwhelming for its reputation.
Staff were lovely, had the kuikku menu, 6 of the 8 dishes were incredible, 2 were ok. Drinks also incredible.
Have a look at the pictures of the place before booking. If the decor is not to your taste its probably not for you. I did receive a call to confirm my booking and was reminded that the dress code was smart casual. Given the state of dress of a large number of the patrons, either a massive shift in what smart casual means has happened or they should drop the pretence. A great business, not a great dining experience. Staff and systems all designed to upsell. I don't have a problem with this and if anything was quite impressed with the tactics. Unfortunately the food was bland, the only thing that had any flavour was some awful seafood sauce. Given the price I was disappointed. The decor is what I imagine a Vegas casino looks like, all neon lights and thumping music, the food is probably similar to a casino buffet.
Great food the lunch deal a great way to discover the dishes and sizes etc
The food is great, have the prawn gyoza, it’s fantastic. But the wine, really crazy expensive.
Fabulous from the lovely guy who opened door for us through every member of staff each went out of their way to make it an experience for us. Fabulous food incredible and atmosphere brilliant superb value for money
Food , personal, ambians is very very good and We enjoyed so much.it was unbelliveable 👍
Great atmosphere and good vegan menu. Love the bar and staff.
I would only recommend the cheesecake. The sushi was below average.
just a negative I was waiting more than 40 minutes to be seated!!!!
Simply great from start to finish
Great experience, really good food with super good service.
Had to wait for over half an hour for our table even with a reservation. They will charge your credit card if you are late or don’t turn up. Well it should work both ways. Greeting staff were quite rude and uncaring. Act like they are just better than everyone else. Whole experience was very underwhelming.
Great birthday meal!
Superb evening. The DJ playing amazing house music was right up my street and made the evening to be honest! Wicked evening and couldn’t have asked for a better Sunday evening dining experience.
Poor food quality, very expensive and it is not worth of it.
Had a fab dinner here on Friday night, every dish of food we had was delicious! Not cheap and a little loud but a great experience.
Very disappointed about this place.
I know we are in Mayfair – London, but £26 a glass of Chablis (125 ml of white wine)? 30,29 € !!! Please ... I’m French and at this price I should get a the entire bottle.
They don’t do Pornstar Martini. Really guys? At this age!
£42.60 the black cod. OK, maybe. But up for debate.
Last but not least, they charge us £4 of cover charge; for the DJ... Huuhh we didn’t not ask for your poor AND loud DJ. If we knew, we would have eat outside thanks.
I really hate when people are “hyping” an establishment for nothing.
