Serafina at The Time Hotel
Located in the heart of the Broadway Theater District, Serafina at The Time Hotel is the perfect pre or post show venue. International tourists, local business professionals and residents alike enjoy Serafina’s signature home comforts, upbeat environment and authentic Italian cuisine.
Appetizer was just okay, mozzarella, prosciutto on toasted bread. Risotto was a little bland and undercooked.
It was so hot in the restaurant! Uncomfortable.
The food was really delicious and the drink menu was unique. They were generous with the alcohol. I only wished they had white table clothes. Overall it was great and I would go again.
The place is adequate and conveniently located. The food is average with Italian influence. Some dishes were very good just not special enough to stand out.
We went to Seraphina before a broadway show. Our waitress was very good at keeping us on schedule so we weren’t late for the show. The food was fabulous! It was a great experience.
A good place for a reasonable priced lunch or dinner in times square - with good food. I can highly recommend the salads and mushroom pizza
My second lunch pre theater in few weeks time Jose was marvelous with our service. He even went beyond his ways ❤️ The food was excellent and didn’t feel rushed to accommodate other parties. It was a busy pre theater lunch time. Now this is my favorite broadway restaurant ❤️♥️❤️
Out of town guests
Service was rushed. We order steak with a side of pasta, they CANT do that. Its an Italian place really? They service pasta, which was not good. We ordered veal, it was small frozen veal patty's. Never going here again!
Our table was ready for us when we arrived
The large menu was a hit with our crew of five.
Everything served was fresh and delicious. My meal was piping hot. Our server was polite and attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. We will definitely be back
My friend and I had Sunday brunch here yesterday. It had been recommended highly to us from someone who has been to one of the other locations. The location was convenient to our theater and had also received good reviews on Yelp. We were both extremely disappointed, however, with our meal and service. The menu was misleading on a few items. Our meals came out quickly but incorrectly, and then we had to wait a long time and had to ask where our meals were! We then hsd to ask several times for the butter to go with the bread which came out after our meal was finally done and eaten. The table was too small for our food and condiments so the server took away our creamer and sugar which we needed for our coffee and had to ask for it to be brought back. Different people were serving us, none of whom were able to answer questions about the menu when we first sat down. In addition, the fact that they charged us for coffee when the menu indicated a drink came with the meal for $28.50! Not a manager in sight and nobody came by to apologize for the totally disastrous meal and experience. Next time we will go to brunch elsewhere.
Difficult to carry on conversation at the table due to noise level. Other than that, I would recommend.
We were first seated in the front but asked to move to the back because the cigarette smell was intense. The smoking from outside smokers gets into the restaurant, so ask to sit in the back. The food was wonderful, we had the specials and we were not disappointed. Would definitely return.
midtown dining spot in theatre district. the food was tasty. Prices for the entrees were generally acceptable prices, however the appetizer prices were fairly expensive. The servers were nice and very prompt about taking away dishes and asking if you were ready to order etc... but sometimes i felt a little like they were rushing us.
I love the Serafina restaurants and look forward to going there for lunch when I’m in New York. This one was the closest to my hotel. I would not recommend it. The pizzas were soggy and tasteless, the atmosphere cramped and noisy, and our wait staff that day was an attentive.
Food was good, but brunch menu was inaccurate. Ordered club sandwich. It did not list that avocado was on the sandwich, but it came with it. It was stated on menu that bread and muffins came with brunch. We did not get any. Also states on menu that all brunches come with choice ofFrench fries or grandma potatoes, notified after we got food that the French toast does not come with either. Food presentation was very nice. Pricey, due to the fact that you don’t actually get what the menu states.
The food was excellent.
The restaurant was a little too loud until the theater crowd started to leave.
This restaurant hit all the marks. It was packed before the theatre. We made reservations for 5:45 before an 8 pm show about a month in advance. We were shown to a table for two in a bit of a congested space. It did not take away from our conversation or dinner in any way. It was comfortable and still private, tucked on the side of a pillar. The wine was a favorite of mine, bread and olive oil was delicious, meal was excellent, sea bass on a bed of leeks & potatoes perfectly prepared and served hot. We ended with coffee and shared a tiramisu for desert. The service was excellent, not a kink considering how crowded it was, and we weren’t rushed at all. We walked to the theatre with 15 minutes to spare before entering. The beginning to a perfect evening in The Big Apple.
Relaxed and easy if you are going to be in this area. Not my favorite Serafina location but it was convenient for where we were going to be. Had 2 young picky eaters with us so I knew this would be a safe bet.
Solid food but so loud that we couldn't hear anything. We ate our meal without talking at all. Service very average.
Background music interfered with conversation
Salads were bland and disappointing
Steak salad had too few heavily sauced overlooked pieces if steak
Pizza with artichokes and other vegetables was soggy and bland
Wine pour was sparse
I have eaten st other Serafina restaurants in various parts of the city for many years, I found this dinner to be overpriced and mediocre
I would have given 5 stars for everything but it was just too cold in the restaurant. It was a chilly April day and the hotel lobby door was open which blew through the restaurant. They did try to accommodate the temperature but wasn’t happening. I’d definitely go back again, but maybe fall or winter or when you NEED AC. Server was attentive but not pushing and the food was fantastic.
Our food was delicious! However, our wait person was not as attentive as we hoped. We lunched prior to a play and had allowed sufficient time. We were given dessert menus and had each chosen, but our wait person didn’t return to take our order. I mentioned this to the host as we left and he immediately brought muffins to make up for it. Well done, Sir!
Close to the theater and always a reliable delicious meal!
Was looking forward to trying Serafina - after all, a growing chain should have some good things going for it - but we were mostly let down. Stopped in for a pre-show meal and at least it was swift. The lobster ravioli was only fine, but bland and lacking much texture, and my partner's burger patty looked awfully small (compared to the large bun it was served on) and was definitely not worth the $21 price tag. All in all, pretty underwhelmed with our first Serafina meal.
We were visiting from out of town and one of my wants for our trip was great Italian. This was right on the money. Food was wonderful, our waitress was excellent and when the Parmesan grater had an unfortunate explosion into my martini, the staff was quick to replace it for me.
The food was excellent and the service was great.
Exactly What we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary.
Excellent service. The presentation of the food was wonderful. My meal was delicious! Will definitely return
It was good!
Food was excellent, drinks were delicious but pricey. We were celebrating my sisters birthday and I asked one of the wait staff if he would sing happy birthday and he was accommodating. It made the night.
everything was good; service, food, ambiance, etc. A good choice for pre-theater as well
Pretty good experience with great food. 2nd time at the restaurant and can't wait to return for a third time!
The Serafina is a lovely restaurant with a bar in the front and dining in the back. It's bigger than it appears. The drinks were strong and priced appropriately for the location. The food was very fresh and delicious. Nothing was over-seasoned and the food was allowed to speak for itself. Excellent location next to the Eugene O'Neill theater.
Server gave us wrong first drink but said it’s the same thing. It wasn’t but we drank it anyway. Didn’t deliver a spoon with pasta course. Food delivered before silverware was re-set. Food and wine was impeccable however. Ambiance was delightful. Will come back for the food but will speak up if service is once again subpar.
Food was ok. Picked this place because of the location and the size of the group. Had brunch on Saturday before a show. Should have tried the regular lunch menu instead. Best item we had was the margarita pizza.
Good, except they gave us a terrible table despite the restaurant being half-empty.
only if they add another rest room ! when out for the evening i don't enjoy standing in line with other dinners in hall way
