Serafina at The Time Hotel
Located in the heart of the Broadway Theater District, Serafina at The Time Hotel is the perfect pre or post show venue. International tourists, local business professionals and residents alike enjoy Serafina’s signature home comforts, upbeat environment and authentic Italian cuisine.
I felt there were not enough options for our family and the cost was high for basic Italian dishes (with no salad included) & a glass of wine. Our waitress was neither friendly nor approachable. The ambiance was nice though and good for meeting & talking with our friend.
Perfect for teens and ladies dinner before a show.
I ordered the Filet Mignon hamburger but it didn’t taste that good. I’m not sure if it actually was Filet Mignon. It didn’t taste like it or have that texture. It was a below average burger honestly, with iceberg lettuce. Maybe it was a filet and I just didn’t recognize it? I don’t know but I won’t try that again.
Place is EXCELLENT!! I work next door and have walked my many times. Never thought about sitting down for dinner. Needed reservation before seeing a Broadway show on Saturday. Everywhere was booked the night before, except them. Was happy to get in last minute. Even the location on 55th St. was booked before showtime. I got really lucky with this one, and myself and my party thought it was an excellent dining experience. I highly recommend this location
We tried 3 different salads and tasted all three. We loved them all! We got the champagne punch for a cocktail and thought it was perfect! We got the calamari and it was the best we ever had. We order a tiramisu and and warm apple tart with vanilla gelato and both were delicious but the tiramisu was spectacular!!!
I have been to this restaurant before, but they were off that night. My guest and I ordered a Mojito, which was very sour. We could not taste any rum, mint or sugar. Though it was very pretty. We waited too long to get the coffee we ordered with the dessert. My coffee was weak and bitter and so I only took a few sips. I had also made a note on the reservation that the occasion was a birthday, though no candle or singing came with the dessert. I have been to other Serafina's before. This is the first time I have been disappointed. I will not be visiting this one again.
The food was good but the background isn’t according with the quality
Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Nice menu and food was good.
Had a lovely pre theatre meal. Eugene O’Neill theatre literally next door. Our server Saddona was very friendly, polite and helpful. Great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and return
Made reservations because we were seeing Book of Mormon. It is located right next door, perfect location. I recommend making reservations it gets busy. From check in to leaving it was perfect. Our server was Sadonna and she was very nice. We got 2 drinks each, an app, our meals and I for a cappuccino. The first set of drinks 1 Moscow Mule, Serafina Champagne, was better then the second set but still good. We got fried Calamari with spicy tomato sauce as our app, was good. For our meals we got the Margherita Regina Pizza and I got the Lobster Ravioli. I have to say they were one of the best I have ever had. My husband loved his pizza as well. We were going to get dessert BUT if you have ANY NUT allergies the only thing the server would let us order was the fruit platter.
So we didn't get anything which was disappointing because I am sure the Tiramisu would have went delish. Was told everything is made fresh and that to be safe everything that is made may have cross contamination so didn't want to risk it. So besides that EVERYTHING was amazing. Can't wait to go back. 👍👍
The food was very good. You could tell everything was made fresh and in house. I went with 3 others and every single one of our meals were to die for. We are definitely going back next time we go to NY. Our waitress was great as well. She made the night even more fun then it already was. No one rushed us out of there, the drinks were well made and the ambiance was very inviting.
Excellent service and meal.
Great place to eat
Clean environment professional friendly helpful staff
Convenient for going to shows because of location and quickness
While walking by we stopped in and had a drink at the bar. We decided to try again for dinner. We were not disappointed. Great meal and service was perfect. I highly recommend
We work in the area and wanted a nice meal between shows. We got exactly what we wanted. Making the reservation thru OpenTable was a good choice and started the experience off on the right foot. Our table was ready when we arrived and we were seated immediately. Service was good and our food arrived warm. The food tasted fresh and looked good in it's presentation. Over all it was a very good experience and we will be back again.
Great! I had the burger with avocado, tomato and Brie.
We have been fans of Serafina restaurants, but this was the first time we ate at this particular one. While the food was good, prices were higher than at other locations and the service was disappointing. We went pre-theater but it wasn't particularly crowded. Our appetizers and food came out way too quick and then our waiter disappeared; we sat with empty water glasses for quite some time before we could flag someone down to fill them up; and we waited so long for the coffees / teas we ordered that we ended up being rushed before having to leave for our show.
Pizza is amazing reminds us of Italy
Excellent food, service & ambiance for pre show dinner in theatre district. All the entrees were delicious, especially the limoncello shrimp! The staff is professional & knows how to give a great meal experience in the amount of time you have to make it to the show on time.
I had dinner here with my daughter before we headed to the theater, the service was excellent and the place was very nice. Our food was delicious and they were able to get us in and out very quickly without feeling rushed. My daughter had a penny on the back go with grilled chicken the spinach ravioli both of which were very good. We had a bruschetta as an appetizer and enjoyed that very much. I would surely return here if we are in the area.
Great food and service
Great theater restaurant, food was terrific and our service was friendly, efficient and exceptionally pleasant.
Great experience. Our meal was amazing; the black truffle ravioli were incredible. Our server had great recommendations and was attentive in the right way.
We were excited to try the restaurant having had a fabulous experience at the one in San Juan. The food was just as good. We were seated at a very cramped table that was hot because it was by the pizza oven. We received 3 pieces of bread for the table which were a bit stale. Service was lacking a bit but in fairness our server had a LOT of tables! Overall, great food but of course more expensive than in Puerto Rico for the identical items. Still would recommend!
Too noisy. Couldn’t talk to the one person I was having lunch with. Food was good. I will not return.
Appetizer was just okay, mozzarella, prosciutto on toasted bread. Risotto was a little bland and undercooked.
It was so hot in the restaurant! Uncomfortable.
The food was really delicious and the drink menu was unique. They were generous with the alcohol. I only wished they had white table clothes. Overall it was great and I would go again.
The place is adequate and conveniently located. The food is average with Italian influence. Some dishes were very good just not special enough to stand out.
We went to Seraphina before a broadway show. Our waitress was very good at keeping us on schedule so we weren’t late for the show. The food was fabulous! It was a great experience.
A good place for a reasonable priced lunch or dinner in times square - with good food. I can highly recommend the salads and mushroom pizza
My second lunch pre theater in few weeks time Jose was marvelous with our service. He even went beyond his ways ❤️ The food was excellent and didn’t feel rushed to accommodate other parties. It was a busy pre theater lunch time. Now this is my favorite broadway restaurant ❤️♥️❤️
Out of town guests
Service was rushed. We order steak with a side of pasta, they CANT do that. Its an Italian place really? They service pasta, which was not good. We ordered veal, it was small frozen veal patty's. Never going here again!
Our table was ready for us when we arrived
The large menu was a hit with our crew of five.
Everything served was fresh and delicious. My meal was piping hot. Our server was polite and attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. We will definitely be back
My friend and I had Sunday brunch here yesterday. It had been recommended highly to us from someone who has been to one of the other locations. The location was convenient to our theater and had also received good reviews on Yelp. We were both extremely disappointed, however, with our meal and service. The menu was misleading on a few items. Our meals came out quickly but incorrectly, and then we had to wait a long time and had to ask where our meals were! We then hsd to ask several times for the butter to go with the bread which came out after our meal was finally done and eaten. The table was too small for our food and condiments so the server took away our creamer and sugar which we needed for our coffee and had to ask for it to be brought back. Different people were serving us, none of whom were able to answer questions about the menu when we first sat down. In addition, the fact that they charged us for coffee when the menu indicated a drink came with the meal for $28.50! Not a manager in sight and nobody came by to apologize for the totally disastrous meal and experience. Next time we will go to brunch elsewhere.
Difficult to carry on conversation at the table due to noise level. Other than that, I would recommend.
We were first seated in the front but asked to move to the back because the cigarette smell was intense. The smoking from outside smokers gets into the restaurant, so ask to sit in the back. The food was wonderful, we had the specials and we were not disappointed. Would definitely return.
midtown dining spot in theatre district. the food was tasty. Prices for the entrees were generally acceptable prices, however the appetizer prices were fairly expensive. The servers were nice and very prompt about taking away dishes and asking if you were ready to order etc... but sometimes i felt a little like they were rushing us.
