What a wonderful dinner and the service was top notch!
Superb food and service. Found the place a bit noisy.
Excellent experience again ! Even with Covid. Ask for Brian - he's fantastic.
It was our first visit to Scampo. We were out for a date night. The wait staff was quick and friendly. The food was delicious and just the right amount. The price was reasonable too.
Best meal I’ve had in boston since august. Blown away by the quality. We had the burrata peach salad, Chilean sea bass, and the duck, and all were better than any restaurant we’ve dined at in months, including mistral and Sorellina. Cannot wait to go back to scampo, although we might just do takeout next time!
We ate in an igloo and it was wonderful. We had the pear pecorino ravioli as a starter and it was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. I had the chilean sea bass as a main and my husband had the steak-- both were absolutely delicious. I wouldn't change a thing. We enjoyed this meal more than anything I can remember in a very long time.
Nice evening after a year without being in a restaurant! Delicious and attentive!
Brian our server was excellent! Food was delicious!!
Entree included a blood-red rare steak, I ordered Medium. Steak went back twice. Rare both times. Waiter was great, saw the problem both times and apologized. The skewered lobster was like eating crusted rubber band and so small it could be eaten it one bite, maybe two. Scampo, If you can't cook a steak, Twice! why did you charge me for the meal? I left it to be thrown out.
Food was really good, portion size was on the small side. Service was amazing.
Challenging time for restaurants and the folks with them. They are doing their best. Think the supply chains are not as robust as the food was less fresh that from prior times. The mozzarella was somewhat more harder and the sauce a little more salty. Small quibbles but that what's 5 star is about.
Food and ambiance was over nice, the bread rolls were warm and toasty. The pizza was rightly done. The staff was attentive.
Look for the starters to choose from, they are almost always a good choice.
Husband’s birthday
Very good food, excellent service, thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Great spot in a cool hotel
everything was fabulous from start to finish a five out of five ,kurt our waiter was great;Iwould highly recommend it!
Great waiter and the food was fantastic.! The fries in Duck fat and truffle oil are to die for.
Great food and service. Pricey, but for a special night it was delightful.
Fabulous and safe service, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere.
We have not dined out much because of Covid, but we felt very safe here with distanced tables and a very clean space. Our server was patient and kind and helpful. The restaurant is beautiful and calm and our food was wonderful. We had: mozzarella/tomato/basil salad, spaghetti carbonara, lamb pizza, ravioli with pork and ricotta, and a lovely bottle of Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso Riserva and finished with Blood Orange sorbet topped with a delicious biscotti. Delizioso!
I thought the duck was tasty, succulent and tender but perhaps a bit salty.
I made a mistake ordering the mozzarella/tomato salad because it's more of a summer salad and winter tomatoes aren't great. I don't remember if there was a soup option but that would have been a better choice.
I wasn't expecting so much food... I couldn't fit in a tiramisu although I'm sure your desserts are delicious!
Overall a good experience. I'm so glad I didn't need to venture out of the hotel for a satisfying meal.
Scampo is one of our favorite restaurants anywhere in the country. All the food is perfection. I kept asking for more bread so I could sop up every drip of the vodka sauce on my ravioli. Then I said I didn't have room for dessert but my husband did and ordered the bread pudding with gelato and it was to die for! From bread to appetizer to main course to dessert -- it was all heavenly. Expensive? Yes, but worth every penny!
Our second visit to Scampo ... and this one was just as enjoyable as the first. Great food, wonderful service, and a fun atmosphere! We'll be back.
Atmosphere, food and service were amazing!
Found the menu limited and pricy for what we ordered.
Yum! Great for a romantic dinner for 2! Service was attentive.
The food is always amazing! Favorite restaurant in Boston. We had the duck and the sirloin which were incredibly flavorful and delicious.
The restaurant is amazing. I was dining alone after my daughters surgery, and was needing comfort. The menu was so varied and tempting and all the food was so delicious. The chef even sent out a complimentary order of tempura green beans. A special shout out to my waiter who was so welcoming yet professional. The spacing was perfect and I felt very safe with indoor dining with all their precautions. Five stars is not enough. I will definitely come back with my family.
Everything was perfect...we sat at a table instead of the high top. Servers were awesome...helped with wine selection (we got the super Tuscan). For an app, we got the green bean tempura-light, not greasy and delicious sauces. For dinner, we got the eggplant ravioli, waygu beef with a tempura half lobster tail-all dishes excellent!
The appointments, plating and presentation were superb.
Can’t wait to go back again!
The food and service were amazing. However, I was in outdoor seating which was not great for the winter. The heater did not warm us much and it was pretty dark and not great ambiance outdoors.
Scampo is a solid high end Italian option for Boston.
We had another great experience this visit except an over cooked pork chop. The Alex salad, garlic bread, and duck entree were all great. Regarding the pork chop entree that I had not ordered before, the waiter said the chef’s recommendation was medium rare, which is what I prefer for high quality pork. He did not put in a specific temperature, since I agreed with the chef’s recommendation. Unfortunately, the pork chop came out cooked medium well, white all the way through and a tad dry. Most people still seem to prefer overcook/dry pork for some reason, so I am not completely surprised it came out overdone. The entree was still good with the over cooked meat, so I did not return it.
The waiter was very attentive and friendly as they always are. He comped us a nice dessert for the pork chop mixup.
We will definitely be back but will ask that meet temps be entered on our orders going forward.
Very nice place. Brick chicken was so good I may have to travel to Boston again. Felt very safe even during covid time,
An evening of perfection!
Fabulous food and service that was beyond our expectations.
Holly was our server and she made our experience extraordinary. We are looking forward to next time!
bread and butter was not good
Waiter was the best
Didn’t like table next to waiter computer and kitchen entrance
We got lobster pizza, light potato gnocchi cosa nostra and brick chicken. Everything tasted really good!! We also went around 4.30pm so it was really quiet (which was really good especially because of COVID period).
Amazing food, tremendous service!
We really enjoyed our meal at Scampo, our server Brian was very attentive but not overbearing, provided excellent recommendations, and was genuinely funny. We’ll definitely be back to Scampo on our next trip to Boston. Definitely recommend the brick chicken for dinner and the garlic bread.
Everything was delicious! Perfect evening. Was pleased with the offerings & accomodations for gluten free menu items.
Had a wonderful New Year’s Eve dinner there. Had prix fix 4 course meal. Every dish was great! Had the duck and sea bass.
Scampo is the best! Food, service, cocktails, ambience is fantastic. Spaghetti w cracklings and hot pepper is my go to . Cocktails are expertly crafted. Wine list is superb. Service is top notch. And occasionally Lydia floats around the dining room keeping a watchful eye on her guests .
Excellent service and pandemic protocol!
Waiter was awesome
