Really nice friendly atmosphere. Attentive but not overly fussy staff. Great food and great service.
We had a great meal and the staff really looked after us. We will definitely go there again!
We had visited the other Salvis on John Dalton Street a few weeks ago and found the food here very different. Recommended the bruschetta to my children, which we'd had at the other restaurant, but it was completely different. My pasta had prawns in but some of the shell was actually hidden in the pasta so i actually had to spit it into my serviette.
Incredible rustic Italian food - full of flavour and beautifully presented. The shared meat and cheese board as a starter is a bit epic and spectacular and the buffalo mozzarella is the best I've tasted anywhere. Great ambience downstairs under the delicatessen and the service was attentive but not overpowering. Totally recommended.
Best pizza I've ever had. Staff are very polite and professional.
We had a lovely anniversary meal here. Great food, a hidden gem in the city centre. Would definitely recommend to everyone!
Great .food was excellent.we would have liked to have been seated a little away from the entrance ...but that is only a minor blip great night fantastic food ..thank you
Visited the restaurant for my wife's birthday. We had a fantastic time. The food and drink were of the highest quality. Would definitely recommend to anybody, will be back soon
Amazing food and service as usual. Really nice family-run feel to the place.
Always love Salvis and the food was as excellent as ever. As one of our party put it, they just get it right. Only slight glitch was the service which was a little inconsistent - but we put this down to it being a lovely day and they were very, very busy.
Lovely food and excellent value for money. Staff are very helpful and willing.
Low quality pasta.
I came with my daughter for a late sutshe had to drive in from the hospital in Blackbutn after finishing a long shift. My first time to Manchester in many years and her first time to the restaurant. Extremely friendly and considerate, all staff so welcoming food lovely and advice good on choices we made. We will come again. Thank you
Came for my birthday meal, and it was just brilliant super friendly staff and amazing food can’t ask for anything more!
Excellent pasta and great and very pleasant service.
We had a afternoon lunch at Salvi’s on our tenth anniversary. Neither of us are into grand occasions, but we were married in Italy and I wanted to keep that part.
Small and authentic is what I wanted, and got.
Amazing food, we ate, then bought the ingredients from upstairs.
Will definitely return regularly.
Great time. Fab food Had to ask for water 3 times it everything else was perfect.
Visited for friends birthday.lovely meal, atmosphere was relaxed chilled comfortable staff seem to be happy doing their job I will be coming back,
Great hidden gem. It was great food and overall really enjoyed it.
Visited for first time while staying in Manchester. Food was of a very good standard. Very welcoming. My daughter and husband have eaten here on several previous occasions and recommended it. Pasta was cooked to perfection . My dessert was huge and couldn’t quite eat it all. Loved the limoncello you are given at the end. Only negative thought the wine was a bit overpriced. Thank you Again. We will return.
The food is lovely, but not great for what is charged.
The service is very slow, we and several customers around us had to ask the same thing more than once, and had trouble getting some waiters' attention. Having said that, our online booking apparently hadn't come through and they still offered us a table so that was kind of them (but we booked through their own website and had 2 confirmation emails so how this happened is still strange...)
When trying to pay they put the wrong amount on the card machine, though to be fair this could have been an innocent miscommunication.
Good food and good vibes with attentive staff. The service was good and the setting was warm, relaxed and comfortable.
The food is what I went for and was not disappointed. The place is rustic and spacious and the food is of an exceptional standard not only for presentation but quality products cooked to perfection.
So if you want authentic no frill's Italian food Salvi's is the place to go.
Pasta was hard and not a dining experience were dissapointed as it scores well
Relaxed traditional Italian excellent authentic food
Good food. Wonderful Parmigiana and really nice sharing Charcuterie, nice pizza and fantastic focaccia buffala bread. Gnocchi were wonderful but the other pasta dishes needed little bit more. The sausage Salsiccia dish was really good.
Not our first visit and certainly not our last always great service and food highly recommend
Almost don't want to review as we might not get a seat next time!!! Oh my goodness the food is just DELICIOUS and the staff are just perfect to make your night pleasant - they really listen and advise you but I genuinely don't think there is an item on the menu that isn't delicious. We were a party of six and nothing was too much trouble for all members of staff - we ranged from 19yr old to 70 yr old and it was just the ticket for ALL of us - HIGHLY recommend!
Great food at great prices lovely staff would definitely go back.
As always, Salvi's is very welcoming, food is always good and great value. I would recommend it to anyone.
Disappointed, service was very slow, missed a meal, pizzas looked good, I had seafood risotto and had a funny tummy for 2 days. They tried to cram people outside so little room to move between tables.
Food was amazing as always. We did have a few issues with items that we’d ordered being missed but they were eventually brought out to us and taken off the bill. Best Italian in Manchester easily, and one of the best in the UK
Lovely restaurant, great location. Food was excellent and a different menu from other Italian restaurants I have been to. The real beauty was each course was delivered and there was no rush to complete before the next one - you could enjoy both the food and your company - in short the service was as good as the food.
Time and time again they deliver. Its just like a bit of Italy in the UK. Superb
Lovely atmosphere, food on the pricier side but as it was so good it’s fair. However waiters overlooked us and it took us 50 mins to get the bill but this was not too bad due to the pleasant environment. Definitely would go again.
Service was the only thing that let it down. Waited 25 minutes to order our drinks, I had to go up to the counter and ask for drinks.
Once we got our food no one came and asked if everything was ok.
Luckily the food was outstanding and we all enjoyed what we ordered
Food great, but waiters understanding of the menu not great. Also service not great, had to ask for water 3 times etc.
We had a very enjoyable meal prior to going to the Arena. The restaurant was very busy but the staff did their best to provide good service and the kitchen worked tirelessly to get the food out for everyone within a reasonable timeframe
We will certainly return next time we are in Manchester
Service was poor and food poorly presented and Luke warm
Best Italian food we've eaten outside Italy. Friendly polite efficient service. I almost felt I should be speaking Italian as the atmosphere was very authentic. I just wish we lived nearby.
