Father-daughter dinner. Sat outside so low noise. Excellent food and attentive service. We really enjoyed it. I will definitely be back
You go there for the quality of food. A mini Italian experience.
Good as always, we will be back ! Outside this time.
The selection of meats and cheeses was delicious. My lasagna was the best I ever had. I'm glad I ordered the smaller option after eating all of the appetizers. It was still a generous size.
We will be back
My friends and I had a lovely time at Salumeria Rosi. Many thanks to the staff, most especially to our server Darcy who gave outstanding service all night.
At the suggestion of a fellow foodie we made the trip to the upper west side.. we took a small table on the street and friends, this place KILLS.. everything was fresh hand made to order.. and delish... the staff was outstanding.. friendly.. knowledgeable and professional... cant say enough..this place ROCKS!
We had such a good time. The service was so helpful and pleasant. They seem to be taking joy. The food was spectacular. We went back the next day and got a picnic to take with us. A special place
From the ricotta with peaches to the selected meats to the gluten free pasta with clam sauce, not to mention the pacia. All was delicious. Services was attentive but not overbearing. Just lovely.
Delicious food & fresh bread
Lovely night out sat outside, got a chance to speak with the manager Xavier to let him know what a pleasant experience we were having! He was very gracious and accommodating with my dietary restrictions! Had a wonderful waitress she was very efficient. Was a busy night but everything seemed to be running smoothly! Thanks again! Will be back!
Third visit, amazing!
Darci made it even more amazing!
Salumeria Rosi is a cozy upper west side restaurant. We had cacio e pepe pasta and it was delicious. Too bad they don't bring the cheese wheel and mix it in front of you. Spicy salami was fantastic. Lasagne were good as well.
We had a 7 pm reservation and arrived 5 minutes early but had to wait 15 for the table even with 3 tables being open the entire time we stood waiting.
Food was worth the wait and the waitress was great. They need to do something, as we watched 2 other groups leave.
The food and hospitality, as ever, were absolutely lovely. This is one of our "go to" restaurants in the city and they NEVER disappoint! We love everyone there!
Delicious, creative small plates served by friendly people. Can't wait to return and sample more.
Great neighborhood place. Super friendly staff. Terrific food! Would definitely go again.
A perfect stop after a busy day in the city. The s
We love this restaurant. Food always fresh and delicious. Service is awesome. Will be back again and again. The ribs and Panama cotta to die for!
Excellent food and great service!
WOW the gnocchi were amazing. Have the Asparagus salad! Our first vist and we will be back. Love the Sav Blanc. Great service.
Food always good, but overpriced for the portion sizes. Even the "full" portions are not the biggest. The sauces are tasty, the pasta authentic, service very good. But if you have a problem with the dinners not coming out at the same time - and you are prewarned about this - it could be a problem. Two of us had our pastas a good 5 minutes before the other two, the vegetables we ordered as a side came out even after that.
Five of us had an outdoor reservation on a Friday night.
Because the previous diners lingered we were seated 30 min late, but the hostess handled it well. While I place no blame with the restaurant an offered glass of water or wine would have made the wait easier. The waitstaff quickly took our order as we were quite hungry by 9:00 and the food arrived swiftly. The lasagna was meaty and moist. The tuna was delicious over an olive/caper/tomato base. I think the ricotta/peach/honey salad is extraordinary.
Great place, great food, great service.
Everything was great, but it was so warm inside (and ridiculously hot outside) that we enjoyed our meal a little bit less than we would have had the air conditioning been more effective.
We sat at the bar and were well taken care of by the bartender. She put up with a couple of old wise guys even though pressed by other diners at a full bar. The smaller salami appetizer was packed with excellent items, well-presented, and more than enough for two to share (I took some home). The other dishes—porchetta sandwich, caprese salad, and a pasta dish (I forget which) were delicious. Be sure to reserve, it was full on a weekday afternoon.
The space is a bit small/cramped and noisy, but the food and service are excellent.
Our first visit to Salumeria Rosi and the meal was fantastic. Loved all of our dishes but the meats were amazing. Best Salsiccia we have had in the US! The Pancia (Pork Belly) and Costine (Spare Ribs) were wonderful. The pasta was also very well done but the meats were just wonderful. Nice reasonable wine list as well. Great small interior and nice outdoor seating. I wish they delivered as I would have ordered sausage to take home with me. We will be back! Thank you Salumeria Rosi
Sat outside for early dinner. Perfect. Attentive server. Great drinks. Appropriate wait times for food. A bit pricey but it’s NY and the portions are perfect for sharing. We left full and very happy. And a little tipsy.
Very good food, flavors were balanced and well seasoned. The gnocchi were fluffy and delicious, clearly well made. Service could have been just a bit more concise (we had two different people ask for our water preference and it was still a good 5 minutes after that, on a hot day that we finally had water in front of us.). But it was a busy day on the patio so it was understandable.
food was excellent under prev owners, now just mediocre and therefore overpriced. $15 for watermelon salad that was 90% watermelon cubes and then go looking for the little bits of lettuce and cheese. $26 mussels entre: 6 bad ones and all of them puny sized. nope, we're done with this place.
The best salumerianin NY
As ever...fabulous! We invited two couples to join us...the warm hospitality, delicious food and amazing wine were just fantastic! We love Salumeria Rosi!!!!
We visit NY every summer. This is always s favorite place for us to eat. Food is absolutely amazing!
This has been one of our favorite spots since hearing Anne Burrell rave about the Costine a bunch of years ago on some food show. We've taken the kids, we've date night'd, I've taken a business lunch or two here. The food is fantastic. This last go round was date night and we shared the following: Insalata Mista (my wife likes mixed greens more than I do; I'm an iceberg guy, but the lemon vinagrette paired with shaved parmesan made me have some anyway), Ricotta with Roasted Peaches (maybe the best thing we ate that day; the balsamic reduction paired with the ricotta and the peaches; sakes alive!), then we had the Costine which just falls off the bone it's so tender and the tomato sauce is just wonderful and finally we ended with the gluten-free Rigatoni All'Amatriciana which was the best gluten free pasta we ever had. (My wife is GF, I am not, but I will defer when sharing) The sauce is the big selling point here, with big chunks of cured meats, onions and tomatoes.
Very good food, very crowded and noisy. Very good service.
The food is always tasty and the ingredients first rate.
It’s like dining in Tuscany! Our favorite restaurant in the city!!
Love this restaurant! It’s the closest thing to Italy in Manhattan. But it’s small (intimate) so don’t tell anyone! Yummy food and lovely froendly service. Good value too.
I love this place and have been many times but this was my Moms first time dining here and she loved everything. Everything is always fresh and delicious.
Great food and service. My only issue was with the air conditioning over my head, but I'm not sure what they can do about it. I will definitely go back, but maybe will sit outside weather permitting.
Tables r very small. Service was just ok. Not necessarily the waiters fault - they needed more staff
